Star Voter Season 6, Star Voter Season 7, Star Voter Season 8

5 rounds of voting in and enjoying the system so far, well done Paizo. I've come across one thing that concerned me however.

On my 4th pair of items that I was shown to vote on, Item 1 was potentially valid whilst Item 2 was clearly in breach of the rules. I clicked the relevant link to report Item 2 and was then shown two completely new items.

I think it would have been better to have had the 'illegal' item replaced with another voting option as Item 1 looked valid and potentially interesting. The idea that someone loses a potential vote because someone else broke the rules seems a little unfair to me (ok only one vote in the grand scheme of things but still).

So maybe something to consider amending for next years competition?

I might have missed it in another thread but I'm trying to get my head around Spell Combat. I'm concerned that the current wording suggests that you can make a full attack AND cast a single standard action spell at first level. I'm assuming this interpretation is correct otherwise there is no point it being a first level ability?

This seems to give a lot of power to a low level character especially now that the attack penalty has been reduced.

As an example, if you move up to third level spells and look at, say fireball, a wizard can cast fireball and that is his action. A magus can (assuming I'm right) cast fireball and make at least one melee attack.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of spellcasting and melee combined but it doesn't seem balanced against the core spellcasters to me.
