So they spiked gauntlets provide no bonus to unarmed strike damage ?

Sorry, but no. They would only increase the damage you do with the gauntlets from 1d3 to 1d4

Edit: BUT, if you're a Brawler, and you're not using an archetype that gets rid of it, the Spiked Gaunlets would get increased damage from Close Weapon Mastery

Oh okay. I see what you're saying. They changed the milestones without changing the modifiers.

When my friends and I theory craft characters like this, we try to keep to the "spirit" of the character instead of a direct literal translation. For Kitana, we kept with the Assassin theme and stuck with fans and daggers as her weapons instead of trying to shoehorn in a proficiency with unarmed strikes. We just used levels in Ninja for sneak attack, the Assassinate ability for flavor, and for a focus in Charisma.

Would the appropriate Craft or Profession skill help mitigate the need for resupplying on long journeys? Assuming you have proper tools and materials, would there be a way to track spending your time during the night making arrows?

I did something similar with a Duergar Monk with the Gray Disciple archetype, although I kept him Lawful Evil. His story was he was captured by Mindflayers, and while he was being hauled back to wherever they were taking him, they were ambushed by Drow, where he was captured again. I played his personality where he was very distrustful of most people.

Familiar Folio gives you a gimped familiar with one feat and you can use a second feat to make it a full familiar. Aladdin's monkey could probably just be the gimped version.

I guess we are assuming you are referring to the Disney Aladdin.

heh, you know, I hadn't even begun to consider that it WASN'T the Disney Aladdin

My first thought is the Carnivalist Rogue archetype to give you a monkey familiar, aaaaaand I just like Bard abilities on other classes...

The GM should feel GOOD about killing off that idiot. Definitely make them generate a new character, as the last one was eaten by dogs. Hopefully the player learned a lesson.

I suppose it's a good lesson to teach to a person who'd treating the game as their own personal "I'm the coolest guy in the world" anime story, but if this is a fairly new player, I can understand feeling bad for their first character dying. Or maybe the DM just has a crush on the player and feels bad for killing them.

I'm just saying I can understand wanting to make excuses "resurect" a character as long as it's not to egregious and no one expects it to happen EVERY time.

It's certainly not "evil" but it would definitely make me uncomfortable at a table. Maybe I'm just a hypocrite, but I don't have any problem with a character having an in-gamerelationship or even buying a prostitute. It could be a clever way to show your character's priorities in a town if, after a big adventure, the first thing he/she does is buy a shower and some "company".

I myself have a summoner, and the first thought I had when making his eidolon wasn't how he could have sex with it...
