Sorry for the necro, but I just ran his for some friends of mine, and I want to share at least one pitfall I ran into. Haru Kwon: When my players met Haru Kwon they were immediately very suspicious, followed her into the woods, and basically bypassed most of the adventure! I tried to play it as close to written as possible, but I believe this loophole should maybe be closed, or at least made a lot harder.

I love that, thank you so much for the idea!

I like the idea of working out what happened with MD, thanks for that. Yes, she was a hunter. Well that reflects more my ignorance of Erastil than anything else. ;) Perhaps she enjoys hunting then.

I pictured her as being scouted by Mistress Dusklight but then leaving to join the circus due to some sort of disagreement. I did choose Erastil as her deity, but I chose neutral good for an alignment. She might be a bit of a goody two shoes In the beginning but perhaps a move towards chaos is a part of her character arc. I suppose that would take her away from faith. I believe she enjoys shooting more so than hunting, if I can make that distinction. She’s got a natural talent for it and thinks of it as her calling. If she can receive recognition for it all the better. She enjoys the adulation of the crowd. I was thinking single divorced mother and several younger siblings. She hunts to supplement the family income. Open to ideas here! No prior job I guess? To be frank I don’t know if there’s room in the build for another skill.
Hey all, I’m having a real block coming up with a compelling backstory for my character in an upcoming Extinction Curse game. The character is a female human fighter with archery focus. Her circus tricks will revolve around feats of marksmanship. Sort of a fantasy Annie Oakley? I chose hunter as a background. All ideas are welcome! Thank you. |
