Just off the cuff but an Operative Exploit could be "Martial Artist" It would makes unarmed strikes and Battle Gloves operative weapons and removes the Archaic descriptor from unarmed strike. This way a Vesk soldier with the Improved unarmed strike feat is more like a boxer or brawler who would only fight like that if he lacked a weapon while an operative with the feat and exploit can use their understanding of various armors and own training to make this legitimate combat option. You wouldn't even need to take the feat if you relied on the battle gloves.

I love psionics in theory but game creators have had a hard time making them work with a prodomitly magic run system. I've always felt that how Paizo treated the sorcerer has really done a good job at scratching my psion itch, especially since they created the word of power system. You make a word of power sorcerer with a focus on words of body, command, Conceal, Fear, flight, Force, Gravity, illusion, power, teleportation and time combined with the aberration or dream touched bloodline and you have a very close approximation.

On the day when they do make the Ultimate psionics, because lets face it they will make a tone of money when they do even if its of the worst quality, I hope they consider making archetypes and alternate class features with a psionic focus instead of creating 5 new classes from scratch. A mind blade magus interest me more then an all new mind blade. Also if they did do this I hope they would include more science fiction elements. an illithid space ship full of gith slaves landing in a city has the beginning of a full scale invasion. would be a blast to play.

Two ideas come to mind.

Ultimate Power. an epic level source book is the most obvious one to me personally.
and
Ultimate Psychics and or science. Not just the psionic powers but also technology from science fiction. I personally wouldn't like a new psychic class but would rather see psychic archetypes. sorcerers, bards, and oracles have a psion option. Fighters, paladins, barbarians, magus, and gunslinger and cavaliers get a psychic warrior features. Clerics and Paladins get something between a warrior and healer. Monks and Rouges get the mind blade Jedi treatment. finally the alchemist and wizard get super science treatment, they make power armor and teleport pads. hell following this same train of thought you could create mutant feats and archetypes.

Well, not modern so far, AFAIK...

But regular Pathfinder allows for Pathfinders in Space, in a Lin Carter kind of way. There is a quick summary of Gloarion's solar system, somewhere... Maybe the Riddleport AP?

the new inner sea world book talks about the solar system. Then there is the nation of Numeria, savage land of super science. Along time ago a spaceship crash landed in Numeria and the savages living in he area stripped it of all its shinny bits learned how to blow them selves up then blow up there enemys. At the end of the book the creative team tells you that you can tweek magic item creation rules and use that as the basis for cybernetics and ray guns. I would prefer a different system intirely. Was going to import some of the rules from fantasy flight's "Dragon Star" but I cant find the books for a reasonalbe price.

Has the creative team at Paizo ever concidered making a modern/ sci-fi varient of the Pathfinder rules? I think all you guys at paizo have done an amazing thing in continueing the 3.5 rules and gaming experience. If any team could do anything with the vast history of "Spell Jammer", "Alternity" and "D20 Modern" its you. I for one love sci-fi and would love to see your spin on that genre

My group was recently playing AD&D 2ed. and I was reading the ninja handbook for our game more for fun then my character. I the book they have the ninja class but they also have kits for all the core classes to be ninjas, to describe a how a clan of ninja would have different skills and ablilitys that Mir stealth couldn't cover. A GM could run a ninja campaign where all the pc's were ninja in title, action and loyalitys to a lord but not the ninja class. In PF You could have a team with an assassin (ranger/assassin) infiltrator (ninja or infitrator alt class) mystic (ninja/sor/ arcane trickster) and a healer of some kind. The point is a ninja is definded by his/her actions and not so much by the title of its character class. For me the class using cha makes sense using this logic

Monks Ki and power comes from understanding his place in the universe and being at one with it
.
A ninjas Ki comes from a deep sense of confidence and self awareness. Pushing your self until your body and mind are numb and all that's left is the mission. That takes a serious amount of ego and self worth and understand.

I could see the argument for it being con but since I always saw has your mind body and soul working as a whole I could see Ki combing from your lowest attribute
