I can absolutely understand your move. It is sad though. I do not have a problem with Aranan being the new GM of course.

Make it quick Tintinambule. This beast is pretty angry with me!
Maruk shouts at the gnome.

He tries to dodge away from the viper, hoping that Tintinambule can find something out.
dex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Maruk gets caught by surprise of the viper. He tries to sidestep the attack but the last move was too slow and the vipers attack hits him in the calf.

fort dc 9: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

I have never been to this part of the world. It seems that we would be especially vulnerable to archers on the south route though. I would go with new north route also. Let's all keep an eye on the trees. Something might be dropping from there.

Off topic question. It is sometimes difficult for me to access my computer to post. Do you know of a good way to use an iPhone for posting? I could simply use the website but this is pretty annoying. Is there an app or something that can be used?

I would go with the story tat we are joining the forces at the Worldwound for fame. It would not be suspicious that we are making rest at the inn. I only hope that no one has seen us here blasting our way through the harbor.
Maruk says as he joins the group.
Religion seems to be a dangerous topic in this region. Is there anything else you can tell us? Do you have a contact in the inn or are we alone in there?

"We should test our luck and move forward. I think they saw the ship coming in for sure so we can not hide it anywhere. And when this guard is not returning the will get very suspicious. There is no point in waiting here until they come back with more guards."

Sorry, RL hindered me to post.
This is Maruks first adventure, so he has not established a job yet.

Maruk is on his way to the guard on the dock casting daze on him to keep him at bay for one round.
A slight glow of whirling lines cross his face and hands. He blows in the direction of the guard.

initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Maruk sees the guard on the dock that poses a severe threat if he gets away to call for help.
He readies to close the gap between him and the guard and (dependent on initiative) moves closer to him and prepares himself to daze the guard to buy some time.

"So much for diplomacy. So sad. But dealing with fanatics is futile."

Ok. Sorry I am late. I placed my stuff.

Maruk tries to remain calm, but he feels an inner current surging through him. It is subtle though. He has his dagger concealed in his robe. He has his hands in the open, to not provoke a fight.
He moves away a little to not be the first in line (not a good position for a sorcerer) but tries to have the guards in sight.

Maruk joins Valador and Aranan,

He addresses the chief of the guard and tries to bluff him.
You look like some serious businessman to me that is short on time. Time is very valuable don't you think. When I look around I can see much more ships here that need your attention.

Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

This is my first game on this forum. How does the dice roller work?

Maruk could try to bluff the guards. With a charisma of 18 and bluff of 8. This should be possible, right?

Maruk has no interest in ships. Where he comes from water is frozen most of the time and he feels not well. So he sits near the rail in his own thoughts.
Hearing the argument he weighs in:
I also prefer to keep a low profile. I think Valador is right. Swimming with the fish is a good idea in this case. We are just a boat. Nothing unusual.

I am not familiar with this region, but the vicinity of the worldwound makes me worried. Can you tell us what we are up against?

Maruk. At your service.

hey GM Schiffer,
you said you would post a link to the battle map but it is only text. Not a link.

Maruk also sits at the table. He is of small build, roughly 5″7 he wears his shoulder long light brown hair is the darkest feature in his pale face. On closer inspection it seems that small wavy lines run around his facial features, but this might be an illusion. He wears light grey robe that makes him look even smaller.
Maruk eats slowly savouring each bite. It is a long time that he had something that good to eat. He is calm as a light spring-time breeze and inspects his fellow adventurers curiously.

Maruk speaks with a light voice:
I don't know how I came to this honor of being part of this, but I am pleased to be here. It was a long journey from the icy shores of Glacier lake. This is a welcoming change.

Just saw that I am in also. Thank you very much. I have the sheet shared on google docs. Is that a good place?

It needs some fleshing out back story wise though. Thinking about something.

Sorry for double post

I have not much experience with Pathfinder but played two pbf games. I am from germany, so I have a different timezone, so I saw this just now.

Cheers,

Will do that.
Thanks Dukai.

Hi there,

I want to create my first character for society play. I am a bit confused though. Is it ok to just create a class from the Core Rulebook or is it more standard to create a character of a more advanced or prestige class?
This would be my first Pathfinder character ever, so what is normally used here?

Cheers,

Malte
