Well, shoot. That should say Check to Defeat, not Check to Acquire.

The combat value is high because them there greased pigs are hard to hit*. Better to outsmart it.

*In RPG terms, there's no distinction between AC and hit points in this game, so things that would boost DEX *or* CON both translate into increasing the difficulty to defeat.

Ah, thanks, now I understand. You can either outsmart via the smaller check or try and whack it at the higher number. Thanks for the clarification.

Aye me too I did the amazon thing because I am a prime member and its a good way to avoid the big shipping cost >:) but they say sept 5 .....lets hope they were just being cautious. After that I am definitely going subscription!!!

I also am a amazon prime member, but if you compare the cost of the subscription through Paizo it comes to about the same price. No shipping fee vs 20% off, what had me cancel my amazon order was with the subscription you get the promo cards.

Thanks for the quick response Sara Marie! The confusion I'm having now is it looks like I have them ordered, but it's under example subscription shipments. Underneath that it has next product as Pathfinder adventure card game: Rise of the rune lords base set in side cart. No character add-on.

I have subscribed to the base set, does that mean I will also be sent the character add-on?
