I figured out the perfect continuation of m y build:
Fighter 2/Wizard 6/Spellsword 1/Abjurant Champion 5/Eldritch Knight X
This is the way for me to advance & get the true balance of a "gish"-type character I think. Spellsword increases both my BAB & I won't loose a spellcasting level at 9th (where I currently am). Plus I get the class ability to reduce my ASF by 10%. Coolness. If go to Abjurant Champion at 10th, my BAB continues to increase & I still gain spells that level...not to mention D10 hit dice & all the cool buffing class features that make Abjurant Champion so appealing. Since there's only 5 levels for that PrC, I'll just go Eldritch Knight after. Sure, I loose one level of spellcasting, but my DM hasn't put a cap on exp so I'm good (if I survive). I also can continue to increase my BAB which will only make the Abjurant Champion's class feature Martial Arcanist (your caster level becomes equal to your BAB).
This pretty much does it for me.
Also, I'd just like to mention that my DM did pop that DoMT on us & everyone got bad draws except for me.
Thanks guys. I've posted this question ona few other sites as well & the general consensus (since I can't retcon) is to go:
Fighte2 2/Wizard 6/Spellsword 1 & either Eldritch Knight or Abjurant Champion from there.
I'm leaning towards Abjurant Champion, but I like that Spell Strike ability you get a later levels with Spellsword. I don't think it's worth the loss of spell casting levels though.
Thanks for the advice about the Twighlight Armor & th Feycraft Mithral Breastplate. I was looking for some good armor but oculdn't find any. Admittedly, I haven't looked into the PHB2 much. If I had, I orobally would've strated this charcter out as a Duskblade.
I still mau have a chance though. I think our DMs about to pop a Deck of Many Things on us...so...there's a good chance I may have to build a new character with 8 CLs. But hen again...I may pull the Tower card & instantly gain a small keep. Who knows with the DoMT.

Hello folks! I need some ideas, advice...help with a character I've been developing in a home brew Ravenloft campaign for 3.5 D&D. Here's the guy's stats:
Kneffari Esskur GC (Fighter 2/ Wizard 6)
STR-18/DEX-18/CON-15/INT-18/WIS-12/CHA-9
AC-18 (+1 studed leather, ASF-15%) Touch & Flat- 14 BAB(after STR mod)=+9 Melee Weapon At. Bonus= +12 Ranged & Touched At. Bonus=+9
Uses a +2 longsword of spellstoring as main weapon & has Weapon Focus, Longsword as a feat.
Fort-7/Will-6/Ref-6 HP: 46
Has the following feats:
Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility, Spring attack, WhirlWind attack, weapon Focus: Logsword & Meta Magic Feat: Extend Spell
So...that's the basic stuff. Becaus eof his high INT, he has a good # of spells to cast per day & his spell save DCs are okay. I built him as an offensive (I like to blow stuff up) spellcaster who can get into melee if the fighter heavy party I'm in is having trouble dropping monsters...or my spells aren't blowing stuff up as well as I'd like them to. With Spring attack & Whirlwind Attack, I can dash into combat, & damage a lot of enemies...even If they don't fall...softening them up for the heavier hitters. Most of mys spells are offensive, bu I do have some cool buffs like Displacement, Critical Strike & Sonic Weapon. My best trick so far is to be displaced, cast sonic weapon (that's +1d6 for 6 rounds), then cast critical stike (which doubles my crit range & gives me a +4 bonus to confim crit PLUS another 1d6 of damage), release the 5d6 shocking grasp stored in my sword. The damage is something like: 2d8+2d6+6 & if I make my touch attack for the shocking grasp, +5d6. That's 94 pts of damage if my roll maxes. Other than his HP of 46...I'd say Kneffari's fairly bad assed.
That's all good and well, but what I'd like to ask you guys & gals is where should I go from here? Should I keep gaining wizard levels? Should I get more fighter levels? A prestige class like Eldritch Knight or perhaps Spellsword (which I've been thinking a lot about)?
I really lik ethis character & want to build him the best way that I can. So if anyone has any advice please let me know.

NB: That may well be a typo, but in taking the mick out of it you may wish to ensure you don't make a worse error yourself ;-D
YMMV Heh...I actually caught this myself right after I posted it. Serves me right for being a smart-ass :-D
BTW, Blackshaggie, there is a Gamer Connection section of these boards. You may get more responses if you post there. It can be found Here. Thanks for the link and the sarcasm. I know my typing if awful & it brings me joy when others remind me of this flaw.
BTW Chuck Norris died while fliming 'The Way of the Dragon' with Bruce Lee back in '75. Bruce lost his cool &kicked the >bleep!< out of him. They made a clone out DNA sampled from his beard & chest hairs in the early '80s.

Okay, so I got a little type crazy the other day. No...the game is scheduled to start Thursday, January 7th, 2010. That's a little over a month away. And stop with the Chuck Norris jokes allready (lol) you guys made squirt moutian dew through my nose & all over desk.
Sorry about the all caps title too. There really isn't a Pathfinder Society pressence that I'm aware of in the Nashville area. I'm trying to start a game here because I'd to see people playing more than Living D&D on an offical level here. If you jokers know of anyone playing, let me know.

The Game Keep

I live about an hour away now, so I don't get in there as much as I used to, so I have no idea what the potential Pathfinder scene is there, but I do know people play mini games, card games, and RPGs there regularly. Be a good place to start.
Well, thanks for the info. I'm trying get a game up and running, so that helps a lot. I just feel that a lot of folks don't even know about Pathfinder, so my quest is a hard one.

Oh, I'm in Goodlettsville.
Umm...somebody posted soemthing about THE GAME KEEP in East Nashville letting folks set up & for free. That's deffinately in my area. I didn't know there was a Game Keep on the East Side. This might help out though.
Twowlves wrote:
Have you looked at "The Game Keep" in East Nashville? The owner has table space in the back and lets people play whatever most any time.
Me and a couple of buddies played a few Pathfinder Society games at Gen Con this year, but that was the only time any of us had done any kind of organized play.
THE GAME KEEP in EAST NASHVILLE? You sure it's not in Madison...or worse (only because it's too far for me) Hendersonville? If it's in East Nashville, then I'm so there...

Okay folks, I dunno if you're aware of this...BUT NOBODY'S PLAYING PATHFINDER IN NASHVILLE!!! If there are players, they sure aren't very social or publicly active, that's for certain. Having played all manifestations of D&D (from basic to 4.0), I've found that, not only does Pathfinder pick up where 3.5 left off (in a good way mind you!), this game has knocked off all the superflous edges that it's predecessors have left.
Having said all my praises & lamentaions, my fellow members of the Pathfinder's Guild please hear me.
Nashville, TN is a hotbed (does hotbed apply to gaming?) for all sorts of gaming...from PnP games to LARP to MMORPGs. But, this little big city...though a true gem of the south, is allways trying to do what bigger towns do. The PnP gamers here seem to have converged into the new Living D&D crowd & that's a shame. Don't get me wrong. I haven't even played that stuff. Hells, it's probally a good system. But people in my area are missing out on Pathfinder for sure & I know that the old school gamers like myself are certain to love it if given a chance.
When I came back to Nashville from Sarasota a year ago, I tried to get a game started, but nobody was biting. So, this is yet another plea for ANY Pathfinder players in my area to unite and assemble. If you have fears of GMing, I don't. I'd rather be just a player, but I've no qualms in GMing if that's the hold up. I'll even create orginal campains that are catered to your characters & playing style if you'd like. People...I'm just really tired of MMORPGS. Can you help me out here?
If anyone reading this & are not from my area knows a way that I can get a regular game started, please tell me. I'd like to see my city doing big things for the Pathfinder Society.

BV210 wrote: Thus far in the 4 months I've lived here in Nashville I have completely struck out in finding a game. There has got to be some Pathfinder or 3.5 players somewhere in this town! We've got a full-sized replica of the Parthenon and our football team is the Titans, for heaven's sake.
I'd love to join a Pathfinder or 3.5 game. If necessary, I'll be happy to GM. I've got plenty of resources and space to host if needed.
Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?
DOOD! WHERE ARE YOU!?!
I took some time off abouut two summers ago and retreated to Sarasota, FL (you know...to lick corporate wounds, find myself again yadayadayada) and I found a PATHFINDER 3.5 game @ the local gameshop. I fell in love with it instantly. Now, everything older than 2.5 AD&D and Pathfinder, of course, leaves a taste not unlike Troll poo in my mouth.
I found a game out in Hendersonville of old school 2.0-2.5 dudes in Hendersonville, but it's too far out & I don't drive. Those guys rock...but I couldn't really commit with the distance being a barrier and all. Plus, in my heart of hearts, I've fallen in love with Pathfinder.
You're right too: with a Fooseball team named the 'Titans' & an exact replica of the Partehnon (plus 'a whole lot of other <bloop!> you ain't never even heard of')...it should be easy to find a game here.
I could go on, but here: blackshagg@gmail.com Please get in touch with me, because I'll play. Even if it's just a few dudes, I'll play. I have another dude who's an old school purist like me...but that's just because he hasn't played Pathfinder yet...
