Hi there.

I'm playing a Catfolk Archaeologist (Bard Archetype) and a doubt has occured in my group.

While I clearly understand how Favored Class Options work and that 1/2 bonuses are counted only every other level, something weird showed up.

See, the bard's bardic knowledge adds +1/2 class level to every knowledge check, while the catfolk favored class option for bards add +1/2 to the bardic knowledge bonus.

Bardic Knowledge (Ex)
A bard adds half his class level (minimum 1) to all Knowledge skill checks and may make all Knowledge skill checks untrained.

And the Favored Class Option: Bard: Add +1/2 to the bard's bardic knowledge bonus.

Now, herein lies my doubt: are these applied as if they were different things (therefore I would only get +2 every even level and +0 every odd level) or do I sum them up BEFORE applying (hence giving me +1 every level)?
