I'm a Pathfinder Battles subscriber. I've noticed a downward trend in overall quality with the minis over the last few editions. I'm growing concerned enough that I'm rethinking my subscription. I always get a couple of minis that are warped which need time with the hair dryer to reset them but my CoLO set had nearly a dozen squashed minis and almost as many where the mini wasn't glued correctly on it's base pin, giving it a stilted look. I wish I could attach pictures here so everyone could see how bad these are.

I received my PB case subscription yesterday (thank you for releasing it). I'm disappointed in a couple of things -- someone was lazy on the assembly line. In one box I received 2 Dwarf Champions. In another box in the same brick, I found 2 Bugbear Maulers. In a second brick, there were 2 Kobold Spellcasters in the same box. Yes, I expect duplicates but not in the same box. I think this is unfair, and I request 3 different minis. The Goblin Village is great -- but the gate to the pig pen arrived broken, and the throne is badly bent (like it went into the package hot) and I'm not sure quality time with the hair dryer is going to unbend it -- but I will try.
I logged in to order the play test and update my CC info for my subscription. Initially I used Firefox. The place where you add or change CC and select address did not display correctly, and information entered and selected wasn't saved. Switched to Chrome. Site still isn't remembering (cookies?) new CC (or old one which is invalid now). So I am unable to order the play test and my subscription is in limbo.
First, I got an e-mail that my PB sub was processed and couldn't be changed and would ship soon. Then it sat in my side cart for quite awhile. Now it has disappeared and it's not even in my order history. I think this may be part of the ongoing sidecart "needs a nudge" bug. It happened to my last CoF shipment, but in this case, I changed my shipping address and delivery option to ASAP.

I'd prefer to get all the Starfinder items in the same shipment please, and not as part of a subscription fulfillment. So I think that means a new order... Thank you Katina!
I had the same thing happen. My order is 4205816 -- the system wanted to ship *everything* separately and that accrued some mighty depressing shipping and handling charges. So, I side-carted most of it in hopes that CS could help me out. I'd much rather just get all those August 2017 Starfinder goodies in one shipment, for a more reasonable shipping charge.
Hottest jobs? Well, the usual... a lawyer, a stock trader or possibly even a vice cop in Miami. There were several 80's themes, I'll cover most of them with this.

What do we do if don't get a complete set because "collation is not guaranteed"? We've must wait until our cases come, since we don't know what we'll need, while others are free to buy. Maybe speculators snatching up the rares for inflated resale?
Serious question... Why do pawn sets come out so late after their source material? The pawns for Bestiary 5 are scheduled to release 6 months after the book, and AP pawns usually come out months after an AP has started. Do GMs who run APs and use pawns wait until the appropriate pawns arrive before beginning the AP?
Hello customer service and quality assurance ninjas. Just wanted to let you know, in my DD case, I had one Dragon Smiter with it's upraised arm and sword snapped off at approximately the shoulder -- it's wasn't present in the box or bubble wrap so I can't glue it back on. It won't be smiting anything, unless it somehow becomes a lefty. Also, noted one of the Giant Crawling Hands didn't get it's name and info stuff stamped on the bottom. No biggie -- it will just have to use sign language. 2 of the 4 Dwarf Sundering Axe figures had no paint detail on their faces. I can correct that, considering "happy faces". =) Otherwise, the rest of the minis made it in good shape and I'm pretty pleased with it.
The players essentially assassinated the BBEG -- they murdered him (by your account) instead of bringing him to justice before the town council. Wouldn't the town council want to pass judgement and carry out punishment? Twist: the BBEG knew the players were coming after him, but he needs time to prepare before confronting them... so he hatches a plan: it was a setup all along by the BBEG to cast the players in a bad light. A previously unknown (or known) minion (perhaps another member of the council) presents fake evidence countering the players and casting doubt on their side of the story... now everyone thinks the BBEG is dead, conveniently so. Meanwhile, the BBEG is very much alive and has made good his escape because the players only killed his doppleganger (how else could it have been so easy). Now the BBEG is ready to destroy the players at a time of HIS choosing. I could twist this 3 of 4 more ways without too much trouble.
Pathfinder Pawns: Inner Sea Pawn Box
I have a sheet with a printing error. The sheet isn't squared, so the pawns are significantly skewed and don't fit into their cutouts correctly. It's the sheet that along the top line starts with 'Silent Enforcer, a series of 'Sister of the Golden Erinyes' and ends with 'Sleepless Detective'.

Background:
Twenty-four years ago, a green hag lurking in the forests of Cordelon decided that she wanted a daughter. Like most hags, she was not interested in raising a changeling to adulthood, so she spent some time looking for a father with the resources and temperament to rear a child. She settled on Darek Thalian, a human ranger newly married to Amariel Thalian, a half-elven ranger. The hag waited until Amariel was gone on a hunting trip, then took the half-elf's form and pretended she had come home early. Naturally, this caused no small amount of alarm and confusion when the real Amariel got home several days later.
The couple got their answer as to the impersonator's identity when an infant girl with odd-colored eyes showed up on their doorstep nine months later. Being rangers, they knew the ways of green hags. After much discussion, they decided that the best revenge on the hag would be to raise the child as their own, telling her about her ancestry once she was old enough to understand. So they did, teaching young Katrine the ways of the Green Faith and exactly what her birth mother would do to her if she followed the hag's call. Katrine was horrified and furious on her parents' behalf. She swore to track down and kill her evil progenitor someday, training to fight monstrous humanoids such as hags. Once her parents deemed her capable, the young ranger left the village of Novoboro to hone her skills as a hunter, scout, and mercenary. For the last few years Katrine has wandered the River Kingdoms, traveling in the opposite direction whenever she felt the hag's call. She thinks she might be strong enough to defeat her mother now, but hags often work in covens. In order to be free of her once and for all, Katrine needs allies. Perhaps the adventurers who founded the new kingdom of Tamlyn would be willing to help if she helps them with their problems in return. Appearance:
Katrine is a tall, lean woman with well-defined muscles. She's pretty enough in a fresh-faced country girl kind of way, with pale skin that never seems to tan and odd eyes. The left is a vibrant leaf-green and the right is an ordinary brown. Her dark hair is usually pinned into a low bun. A close look at her hands reveals long pointed fingernails.
Most of the time Katrine wears her mithral breastplate over sturdy green and brown shirts and trousers. When scouting or hunting, she wears a brown deerhide poncho over the breastplate so the gleam of metal won't give her away. A pair of intricately tooled fingerless leather gloves reaching almost to her elbows protects her arms from her bowstring. A carved wooden pendant depicting a face made of leaves proclaims her religion to those familiar with the Green Faith. She carries a composite longbow and quiver on her back, a bandolier packed full of various handy items on her chest, and an axe and dagger on her hips. Personality:
Katrine wants to trust people... but it's hard when you have a powerful, malevolent stalker capable of disguising herself as anyone of roughly human size. She's more likely to trust members of small races such as gnomes and halflings, since Disguise Self doesn't allow that drastic of a size change. As a result she's spent a lot of time in the wilderness with her wolfdog Storm for company. But now she needs allies in order to free herself from her monstrous birth mother. Trusting other people at her back will be a challenge, but never let it be said that Katrine Thalian shied away from hard work.
When she has a chance to rest and relax, Katrine enjoys leatherworking and training animals. She has a deep respect for nature and despises people who carelessly exploit the forest without regard for the future. Animal abusers are likely to be used for target practice if she thinks she can get away with it. If not, the abuser's animals will mysteriously vanish in the night. Like many green-born changelings, she appreciates music, art, and the beauties of nature. Most of her leatherwork includes decorative tooling or appliques. Katrine hates Gyronna and her followers, but is reluctant to take them on without someone who can remove curses. Family:
Mother: Amariel Thalian, ranger of the Green Faith. Amariel is a half-elf native to Kyonin. Unsatisfied with her treatment among the elves, she left for the River Kingdoms as a young woman and ended up in Cordelon. There she met her future husband Darek, a fellow ranger who introduced her to the Green Faith. Amariel loves Katrine dearly and considers her every bit as much her child as her biological son. Unlike Katrine, Amariel favors two-weapon combat with a longsword and shortsword. Her wolf animal companion is the mother of Katrine's wolfdog companion.
Father: Darek Thalian, ranger of the Green Faith. A human native of Cordelon, he can trace his ancestry back to druids of Sarkoris who fled the opening of the Worldwound. The family's Kellid blood has since mixed with other human ethnicities in the River Kingdoms, but they maintain the ancient tradition of the Green Faith. He decided to take his wife's name upon marriage since an elven name carries a certain amount of prestige in Cordelon. Darek is an archer like his daughter and has a falcon animal companion. He loves Katrine, but secretly wishes for her sake that she was Amariel's biological daughter. Her life would be so much easier without a hag dogging her steps. Brother: Ganet Thalian, druid of the Green Faith. Ganet is three years younger than Katrine and a talented druid. While he has some elven features (slightly pointed ears, his mother's violet eyes), his abilities are pretty much human. He and his sister have had their fights as most siblings do, but if anything happened to her he would be on the road to her rescue within the hour. Nobody messes with his big sister except for him! She feels the same way and can be a bit overprotective. Ganet has a grizzly bear animal companion. |
