Thank you James for your post. Many here are frustrated, but it is encouraging to see the actual authors and game developers being equally unhappy with the level of errors, rather than simply filing it under "it's part of the publishing business, it happens." -- which is also true, but isn't what people want to hear.
I jumped onto Pathfinder a bit late, and my first books were the 3rd printing of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook and the 2nd printing of the Bestiary (and a few other books, including the 1st printing of the GMG). I've been really happy with them, and even happier that Paizo takes errata seriously, and incorporates the updates into subsequent editions... something not every publisher makes an effort to do.
I am excited about the APG... but sadly have decided to hold off buying until the 2nd printing, which I know Paizo will incorporate updates into... somthething I am very pleased about.
Despite the level of mistakes, I know I can count on you guys to release new printings, and I am very thankful for it.
For those that buy the first printings... I think enough has been said here already. You get to support these great books early on, which is important. There may be errors, but they are trying very hard to lessen this. And lastly, early adopters are important in finding errors to help make later printings as error-free as possible, which is a great way to be a productive fan of the game.
