Hey folks, so I am plugging along on an Arcane Archer build drawing brief inspiration from DC's Green Arrow, but I'm in need of some advice...

Here is the current build:
Human ‘Taxophile’/’Trapper’ Ranger 1/(Evocation: Admixture) Wizard 6/Eldritch Knight 2/Arcane Archer 3
Feats: Point Blank Shot [1st], Precise Shot [Human], Scribe Scroll [Wiz1], Focused Shot [3rd], Spell Focus (Evocation) [5th], Spell Specialization [7th], Weapon Focus (Longbow) [EK1], Spell Penetration [9th], & Greater Spell Focus (Evocation) [11th]

Is there a better selection or arrangement of feats to be had?

He's being built to be primarily a ranged combatant as opposed to a wizard who can fire a bow, so take that in mind.

Yo, so I'm trying to do some work with commoners and have been taking a look at the Choir of Blades teamwork feat.

It reads as such:

Choir of Blades wrote:
"While you're adjacent to an ally of a race different that your own who also has this feat, you gain the following benefits. If your ally has a racial bonus on attack rolls against a particular creature type or subtype, you also gain that bonus. If your ally has ancestral arms, weapon familiarity, or any other racial trait that grants weapon proficiencies, you also gain those proficiencies."

Now, I can't seem to find any rule saying multiple racial bonuses don't stack on top of each other.

So could I have multiple racial bonuses against Orcs or Goblins by having a Dwarf and Gnome adjacent to each other?

So, I'm in the process of writing up a sequel to an old guide of mine and had a question regarding possibly using the gnome's alternate racial trait Master Tinker with the Choir of Blades teamwork feat.

The Master Tinker racial trait reads:

Quote:
Master Tinker Gnomes experiment with all manner of mechanical devices. Gnomes with this racial trait gain a +1 bonus on Disable Device and Knowledge (engineering) checks. They are treated as proficient with any weapon they have personally crafted. This racial trait replaces defensive training and hatred.

The Choir of Blades teamwork feat reads:

Quote:
While you're adjacent to an ally of a race different that your own who also has this feat, you gain the following benefits. If your ally has a racial bonus on attack rolls against a particular creature type or subtype, you also gain that bonus. If your ally has ancestral arms, weapon familiarity, or any other racial trait that grants weapon proficiencies, you also gain those proficiencies.

So, would a non-gnome ally who possessed Choir of Blades gain the gnome's weapon proficiency that they themselves have gained through the Master Tinker alternate racial trait?

So, I need some help with the rules & pricing for adjusting a magic weapon.

I'm currently constructing an adaptation of the lead character from Samuari Jack and selected the Blade of the Sword-Saint.

Now, I'm a little confused what the cost would be to upgrade it, I'm thinking with both the Bane (Outsider: Evil) & Holy enchantments.

Any advice?

Welcome Heroes!

In this thread I will chronicle my labors in adapting, re-imagining and constructing characters from Marvel comics into Pathfinder characters. This is largely a fun, thought-exercise for me to do and I personally love the process of converting popular characters into role-playing games.

With that said I do have some aesthetic guidelines for myself in bringing over the Marvel universe, they are as follows:
* This world, regarding firearms, is Commonplace Guns.
* All heroes, villains, & characters aren't equal. Some characters will be 7th-levle while others 11th and others at the ceiling of 20th-level. This is to emulate the power differential between folks like Tony Stark & Dr. Strange.
* The predominate race is Human, with other aliens being different races. This gives us a nice way to add a uniqueness to Asgardians and other species that interact with the Humans of Earth.

Beyond those, let's dig in!

Zonugal's Pop Culture Piazza

I find we each hold a particular talent when it comes to role-playing games. Some calculate great numbers with their impressive builds while others push into the heavens with theoretical insights. Myself? I find I excel at adapting characters from popular culture into the game.

And so I hope for this thread to become a repository of sorts for my creations. If you disagree with a choice made I encourage open discussion, all I ask is you keep in mind that I approach my craft in the space of creative adaptions, no accurate recreations.

The Builds
Richard B. Riddick

So, I have been tinkering around with an adaptation of DC's Batman into Pathfinder as an inquisitor (with some dips), but I wanted to see if the greater community at large had any ideas regarding the build so far.

At a base here is what I have:
Human Rogue 2/Master of Many Styles Monk 1/Rogue 1/Trapper Ranger 1/Inquisitor 15
25 point-buy: Str 14, Dex 12, Con 13, Int 16, Wis 16, Cha 8

Tentative feat selection
Extra Traits [1st], Enforcer [Human], Snake Style [3rd], Snake Fang [Monk1], Extra Rogue Talent (Trap Spotter) [5th], Leadership [7th], Kirin Style [9th], Kirin Strike [11th], [13th], [15th], [17th], and [19th]

Somewhere in those open spots I plan to fit Improved Monster Lore, Nightmare Fist and any other useful feat. Thoughts on useful feats?

So I guess the questions I am having with this build are:

* What is a good archetype for the three-levels of Rogue? I don't need trapfinding (thanks to the level in Trapper Ranger) or trap sense, so the ones I have been contemplating are Rake, Roof Runner or Thug.

* What are some solid feats to enhance the Inquisitor side of this build?

* Are there any mechanical ways to emulate the utility belt?

I'm pretty secure/solid in the outline of the build, but if anyone sees anything that could enhance it while keeping it near the same that would be great as well.
