About ZixtoHistory:
Zixto's birth was hardly unusual: he was born to a Yaka couple, and implanted with the typical Yaka Cybernetic Brain as soon as was practicable. However, he possessed the very unusual ability to use the Force, and was still a toddler when the Jedi arrived to take him into their order. Growing up in the Jedi Temple, Zixto excelled at intellectual pursuits, but he lagged behind other students in the use of the Force. The very cybernetics that augmented his brain also dulled his ability to use his Force talent. In an attempt to rectify this, he spent long hours in the lightsaber practice rooms, hoping that perhaps focused study would help him to become skilled in one area of force manipulation, even if he could not excel at all of them. While he developed reasonable skill with a lightsaber, including passable ability to block blaster bolts, it wasn't really enough. At thirteen he had still not been selected as a padawan, and he was assigned to the Jedi Service Corps, specifically the EduCorps, where it was hoped that his intelligence and ability to recall information would be helpful. Years later, in the third year of the Clone Wars, he was given a rare chance to leave the Temple, assigned as assistant to Silvus, a Jedi Librarian who was travelling to meet with a member of the Wardens of The Sky to learn more about their reclusive order and hopefully foster closer ties with the Jedi Order. While the meeting was to take place well away from the front lines, GAR Command insisted that that they take a squad of Clone Troopers with them for protection, just in case. On the third day of their meeting with Warden Skanth, Order 66 was issued. While Silvus fought bravely, killing several clones before he was himself laid low. Zixto picked up the fallen Jedi's lightsaber and aided Skanth in finishing off the last of the clone troopers, then fled the area in his company. Skanth offered to train Zixto in the ways of the Wardens, but the Yaka demurred, insisting on trying to find other Jedi survivors. They travelled together for awhile, but once Zixto fell confident in his ability to survive on his own they parted company. Zixto has had little success in finding other survivors so far, as he has had to lay low, and does not have the technical knowledge to access the sorts of computer systems he'd need for that, much less to do so without being discovered. He has instead posed as a bounty hunter or small-time mercenary, claiming (when necessary) that he took 'his' lightsaber "off a Jedi's corpse."
Appearance:
Zixto is a large man, but not as heavily built as most of his species; he spent long years mostly studying and doing paperwork, or else training with the lightsaber, where agility counts for more than strength. He is bald, with noticeable scarring on his scalp from his childhood surgeries. He usually wears a hat or keeps the hood of his cloak up to hide these scars. He dresses in ordinary spacer's clothing, having long since discarded his jedi robes. He still carries Silvus's electric blue lightsaber, along with a sporting blaster rifle. Personality:
Like most Yaka, Zixto has a very twisted sense of humor. He is often quiet, but if a topic he knows well comes up, he can suddenly be startlingly verbose. In the EduCorps he spent little time teaching, and much more researching, because the Corps found his personality less than productive for interaction with students, especially those who could not rapidly grasp topics. Unlike most Yaka, he knows little of computers, robots, or neurosurgery. Instead he spent his years in the EduCorps studying Galactic history and the numerous and diverse Force Traditions found across the galaxy. He does, however, speak several languages: Basic, Yaka, and Binary, all of which were coded into his cybernetics from infancy, and High Galactic, which he mastered early in his years with the EduCorps. People He Knows:
1. Warden Skanth: A veteran member of the Wardens of the Sky who moonlights as an independent freighter captain, and helped him survive Order 66 and escape any immediate pursuit. While they have gone their separate ways, Zixto kept Skanth's contact information, in case he needs to get ahold of him in the future. 2. CT-6666 "Sixes": The Sergeant of the squad sent to "protect" Silvus and Zixto, Sixes was badly maimed in the fight with the Jedi, and fainted from blood loss, but lived, though he required several cybernetic prostheses to return to combat duty. He believes he killed Silvus, but knows that no Jedi bodies were recovered and suspects one or more survivors, whom he intends to hunt down. In furtherance of this goal he transferred to the Clone Assassins unit. Zixto is unaware he survived. 3. Sejna: A Cathar Force Sensitive who was a fellow member of the EduCorps whom Zixto was close to...close enough to toe the line of the Jedi "no attachments" policy. As far as he knows she was on Coruscant when Order 66 was issued, and he fears the worst for her.

Yaka Cybernetic Brain: A Yaka may choose to reroll any Knowledge check, but the result of the reroll must be accepted even if it is worse. Deflect: As a Reaction, you may negate a ranged attack by making a successful Use the Force check. The DC of the check is equal to the result of the attack roll you wish to negate, and you take a cumulative -5 penalty on your Use the Force check for every time you used Block or Deflect since the beginning of your last turn. You may spend a Force Point to use this Talent to negate an attack against an adjacent character. You can use this Talent to deflect some of the barrage of shots fired from a ranged weapon set on Autofire, or the Force Lightning Force Power. If you succeed on the Use the Force check, you take half damage if the attack hits, and no damage if the attack misses. You must have a Lightsaber drawn and ignited to use this Talent, and you must be aware of the attack and not Flat-Footed. |
