Re: the bag of holding... if you're familiar with Dr. Who, imagine the front door of the TARDIS. The TARDIS is bigger on the inside than the outside (just like the bag) but if you're too fat to fit through the police call box door, you ain't getting in.

No starting stats below 10 (before racial modifiers). That's my one hard and fast rule in any game I run.

... seriously? This post is serious?

I'm sorry, but if "up to 50 feet" is somehow unclear to you, you've been obsessing over rules way too much and need to take a step back. It couldn't be clearer.

If he's happy and not bothering anyone else, let it go. You can't force people into being more outgoing, some folks just aren't comfortable with it. Unless his behavior is somehow distracting, leave it alone.

You're in a lose/lose situation because you didn't look into it enough before you started. At this point, two books in, whether you let him continue or make him change, you're gonna disappoint someone.

Whenever a player asks me if they can do something unusual, my initial response is always "I'll look into it and let you know."

If you're not opposed to picking a small race, the cavalier's mount is then a medium animal, usually a dog. You can ride it indoors and get 4X damage with your lance and have outstanding movement regardless of armor.

/imagines a gnome riding a dog, charging the enemies' kneecaps and shouting orders

So... you're telling me that every Pathfinder Wizard who is walking around with a staff and casting spells is doing it wrong unless they have that feat?

Silliness.

To answer the original question, smoked goggles. 10g, mundane item. They have a penalty to your vision-based perception checks, but have the added benefit of making you immune to gaze attacks.

Liberty's Edge

Ha, wow. Several members of my FPS chapter will be dismayed to learn that.

Liberty's Edge

metamagic rod of reach fixes that. Every combat healer should have one.

I would imagine it as a collection of finely tuned magnets that you're trying to force into progressively more strenuous locations, and that at best you'd be pushing your luck. Imagine a stack of 10 shield-sized rare earth magnets suddenly slamming into place...

Liberty's Edge

... I don't even.... gah.

For future reference, your topic should make some reference to whatever it is you're asking. This is the Rules Questions forum... every thread here could be titled "A Question"

There is the Dragon Knight archetype under the 3rd party section on the d20pfsrd, a player in my campaign is using it. They give up detect evil for detect dragons, and exchange their bonded mount/weapon for the ability to summon dragons, as summon monster, equal to their HD.

Yes, you win the cheese award. I'm glad I don't have to play with people who try to manipulate the game to such extents.

No offense intended, just not my cup of tea...

I'm not sure exactly how RAW would rule, but my judgement call as a GM would be a -2 penalty to the throw attack roll. It makes sense to me that you could still throw something with a weapon dangling from your wrist, but the weight and awkwardness would make it harder. I might even alter the penalty depending on the weapon, say -2 for a light weapon, -4 for something bigger.

I got a button, but only because my buddy (and venture captain of my area) brought one back! It's currently pinned to my bag of holding laptop bag.

(yes this post is entirely bragging about a button. woo!)

Liberty's Edge

But there is a Mithril Waffle Iron, bah gawd!

Liberty's Edge

I just ordered two boxes (20 sheets) for my Bestiary Box. Thanks for the tip.

Also no spring-loaded version of Wrist Sheaths which are alongside the standard ones in the Adventurer's Armory. Odd omission.

Liberty's Edge

Well, you'll have to check and see if your GM is allowing Rifles. As they're an Advanced Firearm (along with Revolvers and Shotguns) they are illegal in most campaigns. They're illegal in Society games. So unless the specific campaign you're playing in is going to allow modern firearms, there's only one choice.

Liberty's Edge

Yes there is.

"Feral Combat Training (page 101): What does “with” in the Special line for this feat mean for monks making a flurry of blows?
Normally a monk who has natural attacks (such as a lizardfolk monk with claw attacks) cannot use those natural attacks as part of a flurry of blows (Core Rulebook 57). Feral Combat Training allows you to use the selected natural attack as if it were a monk weapon—you can use it as one of your flurry of blows attacks, use it to deploy special attacks that require you to use a monk weapon, apply the effects of the natural weapon (such as a poisonous bite) for each flurry of blows attack, and so on.

The feat does not allow you to make your normal flurry of blows attack sequence plus one or more natural attacks with the natural weapon. In other words, if you can flurry for four attacks per round, with this feat you still only make four attacks per round... but any number of those attacks may be with the selected natural weapon.

I always thought the whole idea of a gun tank was to plant the tower shield in the ground, using it for portable cover, and fire a gun from behind it. If the shield is planted, don't you have both hands free?

Edit: Nevermind, I guess I'd misread the total cover aspect of tower shields, you don't actually plant them apparently. Still, not a bad idea...

Liberty's Edge

Playing an established character is never a good idea. Your character could be inspired by a preexisting character, but to say he actually is that character is always a mistake.
