Im a fan of star wars, and I watched the trailer, but really just trying to reserve any judgments or expectations until I just watch it. No expectations, no disappointments. :)

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

No worries. Btw, here is Zedd's level up info:

3rd level of Slayer

6 + 2 con + 1 favored = 9 hp

6 + 1 int + 1 human + 1 crew bonus = 9 skill ranks

Acrobatics +1 rank, Intimidate +1 rank, Knowledge (Local) +2 ranks, Perception +1 rank, Pilot Small Ship +1 rank, Profession (Aership Mechanic) +1 rank, Sense Motive +1 rank, Stealth +1 rank

+1 BA, +1 B Will

+1d6 Sneak Attack (can "study" a sneak attacked opponent)

Level 3 Feat: Precise Shot

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd looks around as Doc storms out.

"Much easier when there is just somethin' to hit or shoot..."

He grumbles to himself as he makes his way back to the bay, checking for any repairs Bingo will need.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

I have class and a test due tonight, but I will be upgrading Tiny ASAP. Probably with another level of Slayer

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd shrugs.

"It's saved my life before too. Captain has it under control. I don't see why it's a big deal."

Sense Motive DC 15:
Bluff: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15
Zedd is uncomfortable and clearly not telling the truth

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

"Ha! The weasel has a safe room! Shoulda figured he would."

Okay, Point-blank Shot and aerial combat. I have a couple thoughts on this.

First, we could use the feat as-is, meaning the gunner of one ship has to be within 30ft of their target to gain the +1/+1 of the feat. This is tricky, though, as that's basically Collision range.

Second, we expand it to the range increment of the weapon being used. This, however, is very generous because most combat will likely take place at this range ... making the feat VERY useful, indeed (more because of the attack roll bonus then the damage bonus).

Or, third, we just ignore it for aerial combat. I'm leaning in this direction. I don't want Point-blank Shooters to feel like they've wasted a feat slot, but given the proliferation of ranged combat via firearms at personal combat scale, I'm not thinking it's ever really a wasted feat, even if it can't be used from the cockpit or gunner position.

Love to hear opinions on this.

I am happy to accept whatever decision you make. For what it's worth, I certainly think it will prove useful even if only allowed with personal fire arms.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd brings Bingo into the bay in a smooth landing, and eventually joins the discussion with the others in the cockpit. He winces, still quite visibly wounded despite Ambrose's miracle potion, as he chips in his two cents with a smirk.

"Don't reckon I need to even voice my vote aloud. But just to make it official-like: let's pepper the bastard."

Pilot to Dock: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

[dice=Pilot "Dodge" Roll]1d20+11[/dice]

Move action if allowed: Favored target >>> Scrapheap Ship. Can I? hehe

Return fire at Scrapheap: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Dmg: 6d10 ⇒ (5, 4, 10, 7, 8, 2) = 36

21? Dangit! Again, if I can get close enough for PBS, its +1 to my attack and dmg. And another +1 to attack and dmg if favored target applies.

Tiny, too focused on attack rather than defense, executes an evasive maneuver, but does so too hastily. Then he banks hard, trying to bring "Scrapheap" into his sights to return the favor.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Nice! Didn't know how long it would take me to get into the fight. ;)

Zedd veers into the fight, trying to finish what the captain started. He unleashes a hail of bullets at Spitfire.

Gatling Gun Spray: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Dmg: 6d10 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 2, 4, 3) = 16

Dunno if I can get close enough to use point blank shot, but if so, that will add 1 to my attk and dmg. Piss-poor dmg rolling, eesh!

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd momentarily closes his eyes and takes in the quiet solitude of the cockpit. If his crewmates could see him, they would think he is about to enjoy a cup of tea and a soak in a tub, rather than a dogfight to the death.

His eyes snap open and he checks his gauges, gunning the throttle and tearing out of the cargo-hold.

Pilot Check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Does Bingo have any way to communicate with the Kestrel? I'm assuming no...

I just hope they saved some of these jokers for me.

Prof. Mechanic: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Tiny grins in his typical predatory manner as Bingo roars to life; he takes off in a hurry, trying to catch a straggler off-guard and get behind him.

Pilot Small Ship: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

Does that use up my whole turn, or can I still shoot (assuming there is someone in my sights)?

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd nods his head to Ambrose and downs the potion, heading towards the outflier.

Obliged. I'd love to stay for the fun, but I got me some buzzards to shoot outta the sky.

Healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Does the potion heal strain or injury? I assume Strain, but just making sure...

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Not sure what rolls / how many actions are required, but Tiny will med himself up out of disabled-ness, and hurry to get to Bingo and take off to provide support for the Kestrel. Lemme know when its time for me to start icing bogies. :)

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Don't worry Cap. The second I can get Bingo out and start lighting people up, I will. We won't leave ya behind.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd clutches his bleeding shotgun wound, his face a bloody mess, as he grumbles to himself and boards the ship.

Supposed to be a damn meet and greet. No trouble my ass.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

I swear I had been checking, and nothing, and then the board exploded in activity! :)

At any rate, Zedd will get aboard the ship on his turn. then if we have any kind of first aid type stuff he will head in that direction. I'm gonna wanna get in the outflier and fight off these bogeys, but I'm going to want to also not pass out the first time I shoot at someone. ;)

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

since im still disabled, and I think its a move action to stand up from prone, that's all Zedd can really do or risk passing out again. That, and as a free action grumble about that guy getting in a lucky shot, lol.

Move action: Stand up from prone

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Gah! Somebody do something! :)

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

well, fiddlesticks. avennnnnnge meeeeeeee!

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

does he have imp. unarmed strike? cause if not, that should provoke from me, right? last round I couldn't cause I AoO the trull, but just makin sure...

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Am I Staggered or Disabled? You said staggered, but I feel like you meant disabled, because I haven't taken any non-lethal dmg. Unless that is how the strain/injury is supposed to work. At any rate, either way Zedd will take a move action to change his favored target to the guy next to him that punched him.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

heres my attack of opportunity with my dagger-pistol. as to my turn, is there a medic in the house? otherwise im gonna drop. lol

Dagger, Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 1 = 19

dmg: 1d4 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

is that a typo, or does the trull have crazy armor on? my 9 dmg shot only did 3? :(

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Zeke grunts and steels himself, grinning as the female trullkin bursts into flames. He backs up to give himself some room, and fires his pistol.

If the bomb dropped the trullkin he will shoot the humie next to her. If not, he will fire at the female trullkin. My roll20 isn't working perfect, so I cant see any names of the enemies. but it did let me move Zedd.

"You fire that at me, you'd best make sure I ain't still standin'!"

5-ft move

Move Action: Favored Target

Pistol Shot (favored target, pbs): 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 23

Dmg: 2d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3, 4) + 1 + 1 = 9

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Here and ready to crack some skulls

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

FYI, it took me a few days to finally get my init post to go thru. Dunno if its a site issue or a comp/phone issue on my end, but if its a site issue that may be why some people still haven't rolled.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Not shy about his take on the matter, Zeke chimes in:

"We already got a job, friend."

Zeke spits out the word, clearly feeling anything but friendly towards this man.

"Cap, I don't like this guy. Don't like being strong-armed neither. Seems like the kind of guy who will repay us for our troubles with a bullet in the back, soon as we're done with the job. Already got a sniper up there waiting too, probably for if we tell him to shove this job up his s$@*hole."

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zeke, standing next to the Captain, crosses his arms with pistol still in hand. The large man exhales loudly in frustration, looking boldy at the Trullkin.

"Guilty until proven innocent, eh? That's the way of it then? Nice place."

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

I'm pretty sure stealth is different than things like ac and attack rolls for size mods. Small should be +4 and tiny (if gizmo is still reduced) should be +8

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd looks around, clearly much more uncomfortable as the prey than as the hunter.

"Cap, you want me to run point and do some quick recon?"

He nods his head in the direction of a dirt path.

Assuming Cap agrees with the back road/Zedd recon approach, he stalks ahead, looking for any "surprises". If not, or if he wants us to stay together, Zedd will stay close at hand, loaded pistol at the ready.

Obviously if Zedd notices any trouble, he will immediately come back and report.

Stealth (if needed) Armor Check -1: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 - 1 = 25

Perception (if needed): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd grunts in approval, reloading his pistol as he goes.

"Next time the Cap says run and you attack? Don't expect me to stick around and try to drag your fat ass out of a fire fight neither."

Eben: do we heal strain after the battle is over, or do we need to (4th edition speak-- shudder) "rest" for a bit? Not planning on doing that currently with the law looking for us.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Just reiterating that as soon as the Diori bails, Zedd is with the captain and out the back door. For some reason, "law types" always take one look at him and assume he's the instigator! ;)

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd circles the Diori, dagger held out and ready to strike. The big brute is so focused on his foe, that he appears oblivious to the mayhem around him.

"Leave now and I'll let ya keep your worthless life."

Ready Action to Attack if Wallace does anything other than withdraw/flee.

Dagger Attack with Power Attack, Favored Enemy: 1d20 + 5 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 1 + 1 = 25

Dmg: 1d4 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 7

Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 5 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 - 1 + 1 = 24

Extra Dmg: 1d4 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 8

Then, depending on whether the guy runs or tries to stay and fight, Zedd will either spit on the floor, or spit on what is likely the Diori's corpse after taking a crit to the face. He will then dart to Callum's side and get ready to split, noting Ambrose's apparent uncomfortableness.

"I wouldn't let it bother you, mate. He was a vicious c@*#, and I doubt he even has a mother to mourn him. Probably cut her throat for a few copper when he was a boy. The important thing is we got our pay, so I say we split before we get blamed for this mess."

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Studded Leather would work. Just like I didn't wanna walk around town with a huge gatling gun, I don't wanna have super heavy armor either. So instead of +3 to my AC, do I get half rounded up for DR? Looks like it, cause you took 2 off for the Diori.

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Um yeah, I wasn't sure if I was allowed to have any armor. First two things I'm buying with my share of the loot on the next job are armor and a sword. :P

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Zedd yells over the roar of gunfire and chaos of battle:

"Cap, you know I'm all for cutting our losses and running, but I ain't leaving the others behind! Not even that damn mutt!"

Zedd's eyes narrow as he looks at the small of the Diori's back. Never one to be concerned with honor, he levels his dagger-pistol and fires.

Move Action: Declare Favored Target--William Wallace

Std Action: Fire with PBS at Diori

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 25 -4 for firing into melee? not sure

Dmg: 2d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2, 6) + 1 + 1 = 10

5-ft move 1 square north

Zedd beckons to his chosen prey with his free hand, clutching the dagger-pistol with blade extended.

"Cmon, forget them! Let's dance!"

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Are the townsfolk "allies"? Trying to evaluate my flanking options....

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Ha! I see Ambrose and the dog, but I cant see the third person. Is that Gilly?

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

Cant... take.... suspense.... much longer.....

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

"Well, those guys shouldn'ta looked at me sideways. At any rate, I don't think these lot are trying to take us alive, so at least we don't need to worry about gettin locked up."

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

"HA!"

Zedd's harsh, barking laugh cuts through the sudden silence after hearing Biggs.

"Let me guess, you gave 'em all a small taste up front. Told 'em the pay would be much more after this one, simple job. Easy as pie, fightin' some weak ass marks."

The big man's voice picks up to a shout, so the men outside can hear him.

"I got news for you lot! Myself and the people with me? We're a hard group. And Biggs knows he don't have to pay you squat when you're dead! Any of you got a notion of settin' foot aboard Bingo, all I can say is: over your dead body!"

Quicker than someone his size has any right to be, Zedd appears next to Callum, a pistol in hand, grinning his ridiculous grin.

"Just like old times, eh Cap?"

Move Action: Stow pay envelope in coat pocket

Move Action: Slide up next to Callum in cover, drawing pistol in the process.

Position should be updated on Roll20 if I did it right. :)

I made a roll20 account a few yrs ago and just logged in now and it looks like it is still active. My name on there is "Dan B."

edited cause I messed up the ooc coding

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

I don't wanna SM on him to try to see if he's stiffing us, but I would like to use it to see if I can figure out why he's so jittery. Makin' my "ambush sense" tingle

Zedd studies the client carefully as he converses with Captain Rhen.

If he can use favored target "out of combat", he will do so to gain a +1 to S. Motive. Not gonna attack him, I swear! ;)

The large man can't hide his disgust as Grage scratches the bulbous boil on his nose, but Zedd's expression lightens considerably upon the mention (and receipt) of pay.

Quickly thumbing through the envelope, he gives a nod to Callum, indicating the 2k is all there.

"Don't matter to me what cargo we are moving. As long as the heat ain't too bad, and the pay is timely. When the law gets involved and people get too jumpy, specially them as have guns in hand, that's when the bodies drop. This deal though, smooth as silk, right?"

Then he grins his crooked grin.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 + 1 more (if favored target) +2 more (if Cal is aiding another)

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

My bad, should have said it expressly. Zedd didn't bring the gatty. He's content with knifing someone if things go south.

Regarding magic: duly noted. I was going to play Zedd off as not being terribly concerned about magic, treating it more as a tool to achieve a goal. But he certainly has enough Int / Wis to realize its a bad idea to mention it in front of "outsiders" when it isn't just the crew hanging around the ship. At any rate, I can tone down his nonchalance about the subject. ;)

"I'm with you cap. We wouldn't wanna be rude and keep em waiting. Heh."

hp: 31/31 | Strain: 0 | Injury: 0

I was wondering a similar thing. Do we normally all leave the ship when we land? It's obviously nice to get some "fresh air", but it feels weird leaving the ship unguarded.

Zedd adjusts his bandoleer and tightens the holster holding his pistol.

"If anyone's dumb enough to try to take this here bird, I reckon Doc'll just wave his hands and say a few choice words and make 'em give it back. I'm not too concerned about her. What I am concerned about is if we are gonna have any time for pleasure, or if this is strictly a business trip. This place doesn't look like much, but I bet I could find some trouble to get into if I looked hard enough."

The pilot grins his and picks his teeth with a filthy finger.
