Zart the Lost is a somewhat enigmatic individual who always preferred to sit back and watch rather than get involved. He naturally gravitated towards the life of a summoner and now commands even greater power from the shadows than ever before.
Zart does not make friends easily and his eidolon, Raamanti, is his only constant companion.
Character Background:
When he was a child, Zart the Lost was always passed over. He never quite fit in. Growing up in an orphanage is hard on any boy, but it is even harder for one who has strange milky eyes and who constantly seems to blend in to the shadows.
Eventually, a passing arcanist identified the poor boy as a Fetchling and adopted him. Ying the Magnificent (or so he styled himself) was more interested in Zart's heritage than Zart himself, and Zart had more or less free reign of Ying's laboratory. That is where he noticed that he had a knack for magic, and summoning shadow things in particular.
Zart found it easy to stay unnoticed most of the time, but when forced to speak proved eloquent and compelling. In general, though, he far prefers to stay out of the way. He was but eighteen years of age when he married the love of his life, Lutetia. She bore him a single child, Donna, before dying shortly afterwards from complications arising during the birth. Donna meant the world to Zart and he raised her to be much more confident and forthright than himself.
Sending Donna to school was a stressful experience for Zart. He always felt she was too exposed. His worst fears came true one day when she did not return from school. He has spent every day since then tracking her down.
