About Zariel Nightshade
Zariel and his family trace their ancestry to the Plane of Shadows. When he was young, his family opened a portal to the world of Golarion, and they all traveled to the country of Osirion in the Inner Sea region.
As a youth, Zariel explored the tombs and catacombs of Osirion, and developed a thirst for adventure and knowledge. During his adventures he encountered a witch named Alister Ravenley, and because Zariel was such an unusual creature, with an insatiable curiosity, Alister took him on as an apprentice, and taught him all about witchcraft. Eventually, Alister sent Zariel on his way, stating that Zariel now had to go out into the world to continue his education in the Art. So Zariel went to Absalom, and joined the Pathfinder Society, since it seemed to be a good organization to help him on his path to knowledge and power.
