Born to wandering parents in Katapesh Zandibus spent his formative years building his legend - in his own mind - throughout the satrapies of the great empire of Kelesh. Making his way by using his magic to baffle and entertain he gradually improved his outfit by adding so much decorative trim and embroidery that the original fabric is barely visible. He is obsessed with tweaking and fancifying his ensemble.
He purchased Ambosius mostly because he found a beautiful saddle, but he soon found, to his own surprise, that he had a great connection to the little elephant. But now needing to improve both his own attire and Ambrosius's he finds himself in need of coin, preferably exorbitant amounts of it.
After consulting with some merchant friends in Quadira he was told that there was money to be made by those willing to join the Pathfinder Society to advance the Quadiran cause. So he set off for Absalom to offer the Pathfinders the opportunity of a lifetime.
