You'd think there'd be a limit like with resurrection spells, both due to the limits of mortal magic and because after thousands of years you'd think Pharasma would have judged them and sent them to their afterlife location.

The Tech Revolution book says there are a TON of advertisements in Absalom Station, but doesn't list any specific brand names, companies, products etc. Can someone help me think of some? I assume most of them would NOT be for weapons, armor, and other combat stuff, given that most of the population of Abasolom Station are civilians and never do any fighting.

Are witchwarper bonus spells really supposed to be based on wis instead of cha? They are the only caster class I've ever seen that uses a different stat for bonus spells.

In particular, have you ever had someone cast a save or die right away, and had the boss fail and die?

Do the beams require ranged touch rolls to hit? I always assumed so, although I just read through the text and it doesn't explicitly say anywhere.

If not, how would it work? I was thinking they'd get a -20 penalty on survival checks to figure out where they're going.

Do they just go back to being normal animals?

Title says it all.

I think it would make sense to do so if they are a really tragic villain to start with.

Is the listed amount of racial hp what a character gets at 1st level in addition to whatever hp their class and con gives? I think so.

If not, what level would it be? I would say 0 since it doesn't give you any mechanical benefits.

In terms of the official artwork I mean? I think blue dragons look way prettier. I always found the DND version kind of ugly TBH.

Would a half-drow be treated as its own ancestry? Or would they just use half-elf stats and look different?

Like the troglodytes are called Xulgaths now. I'm guessing it's so the name can be copyrighted, as "troglodyte" is a pre-existing word found in the dictionary, so you can't copyright it.

Its base damage is 1d12 for small and 3d6 for medium. What would the next step up be?

Just wondering

I would think so, as there's no mechanical difference.

If the giant is only like 12 feet tall I could see stabbing it in the femoral artery or something, but what about, say, Mogaru? A human would only come up to like his ankle joint. How could hitting him there kill him?

Since it's 2e I thought I would start a thread about this. I decided to make stats for Carrie White (from the movie Carrie). Feel free to comment or post your own stats for other horror characters

Carrie creature 8
unique cn medium humanoid human
Perception +16
Skills Crafting +16 (sewing), Intimidation +18 , Occultism +16 , Religion +18
Str +4, Dex +2, Con +3, Int +6, Wis +4, Cha +0
Blood Splattered (Emotion, Fear, Mental)
Carrie is covered in blood which makes her permanently Sickened 1. By spending at least 5 minutes and using at least 2 bulk of water, she can wash it off. This removes this trait, but also removes her Frightful Presence.

AC 24; Fort +13, Ref +15, Will +21
HP 100
Speed 30 feet
Melee [[A]] dagger +15 (piercing,), Damage 2d6+8 piercing
Occult Spells DC 27, attack +22; 4th Confusion, Telepathy (at will); 3rd Impending Doom, Mind Reading (at will), Paralyze; 2nd Mind Games, Shatter; 1st Bane, Fear (at will). Kinetic Ram(at will);
Frightful Presence (Aura, Emotion, Fear, Mental)
30 ft DC 25

Would your average person even know what a halfling or gnome is?

I've never been sure if this is a deliberate pun, or just a coincidince.

What are those.. things attached to her mouth supposed to be?

For Desna, I was thinking something like this poem: http://ceadserv1.nku.edu/longa/poems/rf-star.htm maybe with a few words changed to better fit the setting.

I know it can only be 1 square foot and 6 characters, but does it even have to be writing? Or can it just be a "logo"? Furthermore, if you want it to be bigger or longer, can you just cast it multiple times on adjacent squares?

Do they just automatically work?

By this, I mean a spell that causes a lot of pain but doesn't do damage.

They can in real life.

I know a lot of people do that when they are first starting out, which seems reasonable to me, as it's easiest to play yourself, so to speak. I would say it's only bad if you make all your characters really similar to yourself, as that's pretty unimaginitve.

I always pictured the most powerful fire elementals being white or blue instead of normal fire color, since really hot fire in real life is usually those colors. Does anyone else picture this?

It says you can't make magic items, but doesn't say anything about technological, so I would guess you can if you have all the raw materials.

By this, I don't mean because they are dangerous in-game, but because something about them freaks you out on a personal level. A few of mine are

1. Any undead that can turn you into an undead as well. It seems like a fate worse than death to me, plus in most cases you are a slave to the "parent" undead until it's destroyed
2. Broken Souls, both due to their powers (especially torturous touch), and how horrifying the concept is.
3. Kytons/Velstracs, as they're all torture experts.
4. Nightwaves. Sharks are pretty scary to begin with. Now imagine one that's really smart, evil, and the size of a blue whale.

There are some that have an ability that lets them make multiple attacks for only 2 actions, but says that each attack has to be against a different target. Why? Did they just think it would be too powerful if they could all attack the same person?

Is it just one?

We have the Book Of The Damned (evil), and the Chronicles Of The Righteous (good) both as sourcebooks and in-game artifacts, but no Concordance Of Rivals (neutral), other than the sourcebook. Has anyone made stats for it?

This is a conversion of a monster I made a long time ago in 1e: https://paizo.com/threads/rzs42hta?New-devil-idea-blue-devil
It's my first 2e monster so tell me if I did anything wrong

Blue Devil (azuragon) Creature 10
LE Medium Fiend [Devil]
Perception +19
Languages: Common, Infernal, Telepathy 100 ft
Skills Arcana +17 , Deception +19 , Diplomacy +17 , Intimidation +22 , Religion +19 , Stealth +17
Str +3, Dex +2, Con +4, Int +0, Wis +1, Cha +4
Slowing Claws: (Magical, Emotion, Mental)
Anyone hit by the blue devil's claw attack must make a dc 26 fortitude save or be slowed for one minute. A creature that makes a successful save is immune to that blue devils slowing claws for 24 hours.

AC 27; Fort +16, Ref +18, Will +22
HP 175;
Immunities cold, fire, fear Resistances: 5 physical (except silver) 10 poison Weaknesses: Good 10, Chaotic 10.
Speed 30 feet
Melee (one action) claw +17 (Magical), Damage 2d6+5
Melee (one action) horns +20 (Magical), Damage 2d10+8
Spells DC 29, attack +21; 5th Crushing Despair, Cone Of Cold; 3rd Agonizing Despair (at will);

Blue Devils personify sadness and despair. They look like the stereotypical "skinny guy with horns" type devil, but are a deep blue color. Most of them serve Eaqueo.

Let's say you cast Create Demiplane at 10th level, and critically succeed. Mine would be like a HUGE mansion (about 4000 feet long and half as wide, according to the rules), but would also have a garden-like "outside" area. It would also have the good alignment trait and low gravity.

The one in the picture has it's mask on, and there's no description of what they look like underneath. Considering it's a good idea to try to take off and/or destroy their masks (due to it making them weaker), I'm kind of surprised they didn't at least have a description. Anyway, what do you think they would look like? Since they are aberrations, I imagined something weird, like having more 2 eyes and having them spaced evenly around their face, as well as having a mouth that opens horizontally instead of vertically. They are aberrations, after all, and the rest of their body looks pretty "normal" for something that's meant to be an aberration.

I would say so, though I can't for the life of me think of how you would actually word the wish without using metagame concepts. Any ideas?

If multiple people are involved in killing a linnorm, who gets the curse? I was thinking it's whoever gets the killing blow, but it could also be whoever did the most damage.

For anyone unfamiliar with the term, it means a language that's no longer spoken by any country (such as Latin and Sanskrit in real life), and is mostly only known by linguists and scholars. Are there any languages like this in Golarion? And, if so, why did they die out?

Are the velstrac sexton's chains considered archaic or not?I would say no since they are made out of shadow.

The rules say a person who has been petrified by a basilisk can be unpetrified if they are covered in basilisk blood. I know it has to be a recently killed basilisk, but does it have to be the same basilisk that petrified the person or not?

All of the main caster classes (mystic, technomanceer, and witchwarper) are spontaneous. Are there any classes that have to prepare like wizards or clerics?

Since you usually don't track the dying condition for monsters/npcs and just have them die at 0 hp, I'm a little confused as to how it would work. Should you just track dying in the case of monsters that have it?

I know it's finite, but it doesn't seem to say anywhere how big it is.I would guess only as big as Australia or no.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I would say so, as even a level 20 caster can only cast it once (or at most twice) a day.

Even though they are described as metal boxes, I usually imagine them looking like black heart-shaped gems with a light (the lich's soul) inside. Since it can be any small object (I think) I was thinking a lich might use something worthless (like a rat dropping) as one, as people would never suspect it unless they happened to cast detect magic (and who would think to do that on a rat turd to begin with?)

Going by the Core Rulebook, the "baseline" seems to be roughly akin to PG-13. I'm wondering what other people here have done.

Any level 3 cleric can cure deafness, so it doesn't seem like there would be any need for them. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention.
