Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

"Welp, all's well that ends well. Or some such." She pats down her staticky hair, and sings a happy little tune.

Day Job = Perform (Sing): 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (16) + 27 = 43

Liberty's Edge

"Not all that glitters is gold. Not all that shines is treasure. Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line. And don't try to out-snake the snakeman."

Yitza's visage is haunting... both fey and ancient, and her voice is hollow and cold. Her wisdom should be heeded. Whether or not they can understand all her connotations.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34

"Hey there, guys, maybe if you help us get this key thingy moved and leave it here with us, we can help you get outta here?"

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza continues singing, but on the chorus, she glares at the enemy elf and her voice takes on a disturbing harmonic as she casts Chord of Shards using her bardic performance:

"I've looked at jerks from both sides now,
both alive and dead, and still somehow
it's just their deaths I recall.
I really don't like you at all."

Any Joni Mitchell/Judy Collins fans in the audience tonight? No? Aww...

Chord of Shards:
Yitza targets the stabbity elf with the spell. Reflex DC 16 negates.
damage from Chord of Shards: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4

Yitza moves up near the party, but far enough back from the action to be relatively safe. She pulls out her crossbow.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza channels her inner bard, and...
Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
inconveniently forgets that the phrase "break a leg" isn't a staging direction.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza begins singing, and although the tune is somewhat wistful and melancholy, you still feel inspired.

"I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
from up and down, and still somehow
it's cloud illusions I recall.
I really don't know clouds at all."

If I'm interpreting roll20 correctly, half the party is standing on the stairs, while the stabbity people are up on the roof/upper floor at the top of the stairs? If so, I'll spend my move action to at least move up the stairs towards them, in case the way becomes clear.

Liberty's Edge

Yitza knows this much about the nature of these enemies:
Know(Nature): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Know(Nature): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
She'll tell you what she knows about the blood hags, but isn't sure about the other chick...

"Come on guys, like the song says... Our enemies are nothing but dust in the wind!" She starts singing to inspire the party, and pulls out her crossbow just in case.

"I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone.
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity.
Dust in the wind...
All they are is dust in the wind..."

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza gets a funny look on her face, and then tilts her head and shakes it. Some dust and a cobweb falls out of her ear.

"Sorry, must have gotten in my ears when I was crawling under that end table, looking for clues. What did you say? Permanently deactivates it? Er, yeah, maybe not such a good plan A. But we should head that way, to stop nefarious evil-doers and all that, right?"

Rolling well for in-game Perception does not preclude ooc perception fails from reading too quickly...

Liberty's Edge

Yitza squints into the corners, trying to see if anything was missed.

Liberty's Edge

"Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire!" Yitza sings, hoping to inspire the party.

"For some reason I feel like singing a little ditty called Humpty-Dumpty... That's probably not a good sign." Yitza begins singing to inspire the party.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

"Uhhh, I don't like fire or pea soup or fog to be honest... I'll follow your lead!" Yitza continues singing with an almost frantic energy.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

"Ugh, that fog IS actually thicker than pea soup... And now it's going to be burned pea soup. Blech!"
She sneezes, but then starts singing to inspire the party.

"Fog's rollin' in off the East River bank
Like a shroud it covers Bleeker Street
Fills the alleys where men sleep
Hides the shepherd from the sheep

Voices leaking from a sad cafe
Smiling faces try to understand
I saw a shadow touch a shadow's hand
On Bleeker Street..."

Idly, she wonders where Bleeker Street is... but shrugs, because it is a good song.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza continues singing. When she hears Gaevus' plaintive cry about being grabbed, she moves up, and gets ready to help if she can.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza keeps singing, but she tries to sense or at least guess the golem's intent...

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (8) + 27 = 35 "Wow, your head is thick as a brick!"

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza sings to inspire the party.
"On top of old Gest-y, all covered with glitter,
I lost my last spell slot, for casting too fast.
Oh casting's a pleasure, and getting hit is a pain,
so I'll just stand way baaaack here, and sing the refrain!"

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

"Leave when things are just getting interesting? Why so glum? This is when legends are made!" She bounces up and down excitedly, as she dances up to the group. "Oh my, this is all very symbolic. Your dreams are in there, you say? Why you must safeguard them, even as the society has been safeguarding them for you as you recover. Together, we are capable of so much more than apart."

Yitza smiles in satisfaction as they leave, then turns to look at the other two remaining mobs of Pathfinders. "Hmm, should we maybe head for Center House? The best performances are always at center stage, you know..."

She looks at the groups to see if anything stands out about their actions or moods.
Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34

Do we want to finish cleaning up the South, or help bring down the threats in the wilder parts of the grounds?

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza looks slightly sheepish to have been talking to thin air. "Well, you know us bards, we like to talk to hear our own voices... Eh hem, I know you've got your feet on the ground and your fingers on the pulse of this town. You know how to deal with this type. Same song, second verse." She grins widely to be encouraging, but looks slightly more creepy than she meant to.

"You know, this" Yitza gestures casually around them, "is what it looks like when things are operating within normal parameters. You don't want to see what happens when someone blunders into the things that are kept under close wraps and accidentally sets something off... Those incidents are truly hair-raising. But they make for great ballads!. Just sayin', ya might want to stick with just helping out fer now. But let me know if you decide to come back. I wanna watch so I can be the bard to gets the honors." Yitza begins humming a catchy tune as if she were already composing an ode to this poor fool's end.

"There's greater challenge and greater honor in working together. Blending our talents as Pathfinders is what makes this society great and allows us to go farther than any of us would have alone. Besides, working together means you can take down bigger bad guys!" She looks meaningfully at the rampaging statue that can be seen just past some trees.

"That was frosty cool... Nice swinging of the sharp pointy things, boys. So, we're ready to tackle the dead things in the mausoleum? No animated copies of the Necronomicon to be faced there, right Genta? I hope."

Do I/we see any other 'hot spots' on the grounds that could use our talents?

Yitza keeps singing, and does a disorientating two-step up towards Ksarress and Max.

For what it's worth, you both now have the Discordant Voice damage bonus. (That was a double move, and I'm done.)

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

"D-dragons? Owls, dragons, and snakes, oh my!" She casts Displacement on herself, and then begins singing merrily to inspire the party: "What do you do with a drunken wyvaran, what do you do...?" She comes up with some interesting if impractical solutions on each verse. One of them involves a spoon and peanut butter.

@Max: You, Ksarress, and Gaevus all have Heroism, and now Inspire Courage (+2).

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

"Errr... hrm. Hey, Gaevus? Don't actually kill Pathfinders. We can use words instead of swords to convince them of the error of their ways. Leave the talking to Genta or I." She glances down at the ground zipping past below them, and her pale skin takes on a green undertone. "Uh, thanks for the lift, Ivan!"

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

"Oh no, Mr. Scaly-fang Fluffers! We should go help. Er, unless there was a pressing need to get to the mausoleum? It's just books, right?" Realizing what she said, Yitza glances at Genta with a chagrined look, and then tries to pretend nothing happened.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza grins broadly when the head is lopped off. If possible, her grin gets even bigger when she realizes that Genta is still singing with her. She's almost bouncing up and down with glee.
"Gaevus, if you come over here I can cast Resistance on you next round." She reaches over and touches Max, casting Resistance (+1 to saves). Somehow, she manages to flawlessly work the words and gestures into her song, never disrupting the melody.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza picks up the "The Streets of Sothis", harmonizing and embellishing around Genta's sung spell. She steps up behind Ksarress, with her eyes glinting avidly, watching the strike that ends that nasty slithery thing.

The party has Inspire Courage +2 again.
She is casting Lullaby to try and help, DC 15.
@Gaevus - Yitza would have cast Heroism on your as we were healing up after the syrix squad. So, be Heroic. ;-)

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

"We definitely should help the wee ones first." With her short stature, you can probably guess she means wee in terms of the initiates skill-sets, not their age or stature.

Yitza is only down 3 hp right now.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza spits out the snow that got blown into her face, and gingerly moves across the jagged and slippery floor. It take all her concentration, but she keeps singing. Her voice has taken on a slightly shrill and ferocious quality, and she looks dangerously annoyed. "Who are you? Hoot, hoot. Hoot, hoot. I really don't care."

EDIT: I forgot haste let me move normally... I updated my position on roll20 and am now providing Discordant voice to Max and Gaevus.

"Well, that escalated quickly... Let's end this swiftly!" Muttering and moving her hands in the appropriate patterns, Yitza casts Haste on the party, and then begins singing: "Whooo are you, who, who?"CSI/The Who theme, with extra hooting thrown in. Everyone in the party feels more courageous.

The party has +2 Inspire Courage and is Hasted!

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza casts Heroism on Max, and then moves towards Gaevus next...
"Er... what kind of charts? Who trapped you?" Bluff(secret message): 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (13) + 27 = 40
Yitza gives a discrete, but very telling look in Max's direction. She thinks helping evil creatures isn't a good idea.
Do we know how 'classified' those star charts would be?

Yitza starts to move towards Max, saying "Max, I'm scared of those things. Be a hero for me and protect me from them..." Bluff: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (6) + 27 = 33
She's trying to get within touching distance to covertly cast Heroism on Max, but doesn't want to force the fight to start before it has to... Because she thinks it has to, given what she knows of the syrinx.

"Wait, Gaevus got his fingers stuck where? I've got to try this..." Yitza dashes over to the trap area and irreverently begins sticking her fingers anywhere they will fit. Her fey luck holds for the first few traps, which she accidentally disables, before she finally gets sets off a trap. Despite (or perhaps because of) being covered in a layer of glitter from the explosion of the trap, Yitza is rather pleased with herself, even if she didn't complete the task.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
If it's allowed, she would have hummed a happy little tune as she ran over, inspiring competence, and adding a +3 to her skill check, putting her at a 26.

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza feels bold and marches up to the biggest, scaliest, mangiest critter in the circle of cages. Using her sternest voice, she addresses the creature. "You, mister scaly-fang, have been a very bad... thing. And do you know what happens to very bad things that make messes like that?" She points imperiously at the smelly pile of offal in the corner, where several large flies are buzzing lazily. Fuzzydog, even safely behind Yitza, begins cowering in sympathetic fear. Yitza leans forward and whispers menacingly, albeit so quietly that none but Mr. Scaly-fang can hear her.

"Ooo, are there fluffy kitties at the animal taming event?"
Yitza looks overly excited about the possibility of baby animals, and Fuzzydog lets out a short bark of agreement. The pair gambol over towards the gardens. I'm assuming it's where the zoo/menagerie was in the gardens, from when we played the other side of this game...

Liberty's Edge

Female Gnome Bard 10 Init+1 / HP:83 / AC:14/13/12 / Fort+6 Reflex+9 Will+9

Yitza comes up to the storytelling circle just in time to catch the end of Genta's recounting. She launches into the rousing chorus from the song she's been writing about the party's adventures. Each adventure gets a verse, or two, if the rhymes are good or the deeds particularly daring.
"We've been wild Pathfinders for manys a year,
We've spent all our money on spells, buffs, and gear,
But now we're returning with gold and fame galore.
And we will ever stay in the wild Pathfinders' lore.

And it's No, Nay, never -- No, nay never no more
Will they beat the wild Pathfinders -- No never no more"

Perform(sing): 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (3) + 27 = 30

It wasn't her best rendition, but she thinks the audience liked it well enough. After leading the ring in several rounds of the chorus, Yitza gracefully bows out. Now that her vocal chord's are all limbered up, and her ego is flushed from performing, she feels like giving the obstacle course a try. She dances and hums on the side lines until it's her turn. Since she overheard others talking about Gaevus's feats in getting through the obstacle course, Yitza feels inspired to try even harder. She uses all of her fey grace to avoid the obstacles, although she looks slightly comical facing obstacles several times her size.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (9) + 20 = 29

"And a crime scene too? How can I resist! Try all the things!"
Yitza dashes over to the crime scene. In her impatience and enthusiasm, she seems to be channeling Gaevus' mannerisms. When it's finally her turn she squints her overly large eyes and looks very intent. "I spy with my little eye... Aha! I know who dunnit!" She turns to the person running the competition. "You, sir, you committed this ghastly reconstruction. Well done!"
Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21

Spying the party starting to gather at the lore symposium, Yitza dances over. "I know things, sometimes!" She thinks deeply, and then tries for an insightful comment...

As the others wander away, Yitza is revealed, having been staring off in the direction of a faint tune. "I could swear I've heard that song before... Oh, hrm, what was that Gaevus?" She looks around, realizing the others have left, then addresses Elfira. "Did you say something about fire? I'm rather fond of Blistering Invective, but I don't get to cast it as often as I'd like... Too busy trying to keep that crazy halfling from getting karked. I don't suppose there's a good drum circle for dancing, or a rowdy pub-sing I could find around here?"
