Maccha is healed and looks embarrassed to her friend, muttering thanks in response.

Can't believe I almost got knocked out by a door...

Her self-pity moment is interrupted by the flying acid flask hitting Believer. Not knowing how to proceed, Maccha moves to the door where Tessa is, while trying to remember anything that could help against the spirit.

Is this door also locked?

Maccha puts her hand on Believer's shoulder as her friend breaks down and tries to get her when she falls, hugging her friend. She hears Believer's plea and nods, going to the body and undoing the shackles, checking if there are traps.

I am assuming Take 20 on these skills, but here are the rolls if need be

Maccha's eyes widen at the sight and she does not have the opportunity to take it all in before Believer and Llewela share their observations.

This is horrible, this is... she cannot even finish thinking, covering her mouth with her hands as if the teeth were going to be removed as well. She weakly agrees with Tessa.

"I will... Wish me luck." no point in letting the poor girl be a bearer of bad news.

She leaves the storeroom and meets back with Zea. "Hey Zea... I'm sorry that we've put you through so much already, but I need to ask some questions. Were... the wounds... similar on the other bodies?" Maccha avoids speaking about the teeth at first so directly, but steels herself to bring it up if need be.

Maccha barely blinks as Tessa hits her with a barrage of anxiety. Figuring out about half the words she said, Maccha could assume the rest of them. While Tessa was crying, Maccha was stealing peeks of what she could see written down.

This isn't that bad.
Well.
Not to this extent. Just... very bland?
Sure, Maccha, but that's not something you should just say.

Maccha cleared her throat and tried her best "I don't think anyone's expecting a deeply intelectual and touching essay about the horrors of Thrune. A lot of people already agree with us and the fliers are just to show there are people out there that agree with them... even if they feel like they cannot say it out loud."

"Also, you cannot get better if you stop doing it, you know? I don't think people are going to laugh at you. We have maybe two groups of allies and they are both criminals..."

Maccha sighs heavily before trying to get in character as they knock on the door. They are sized up by the one guarding the entrance. That's good. They are not immediately trusting us, sure, but also not leading us into a trap themselves.

"Found these ones..." she shakes Believer, the "prisoner" she is holding. "... Skulking around, probably smuggling something or the other, said something about mint? Whatever. I was told us to leave them here, something about leaving them in charge of Kossrani's crew." she nodded to Llewela, leaving some space for her to add something, if she so wished.

Bluff: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Maccha was nervous, so she improvised Kossrani's name, hoping there would be no internal schism among these very small group of guards.

Maccha sees the pandemonium breaking out on her peripheral vision, web spells, fire... But no matter, Kossrani is a tough warrior and needs full focus. Thankfully, he has focused on Aoede by now. Taking advantage of this, Maccha attacks twice on his back, aiming for the little spaces between his armor.

Maccha listens to the horrible story without blinking.

What horrible circunstances.

Maccha was never really interested in comparing tragedies, but it was clear Tessa got it much worse than her. And, yet, it's "just" another story of life under Thrune. She moved her hand in the direction of Tessa to give a conforting touch but stopped midway and the hand went back in the pocket. Too forward for the touching, she is in a bad state.

"I don't know what to say." she started, not really knowing where she was going with it "I'm sorry. We are here for you now. And also here to stop Alekto from messing with you."

She sighs and turns to Aoede "You are asking too much of me, however. I will obviously not hurt Tessa's body, but for me to feel compassion for a devil... They could have done anything else other than, for example, immediately antagonizing everyone in the room and try to humiliate Tessa."

Maccha relaxes her shoulders and yawns. "With that said, thanks for the both of you. You helped us even in these dire circunstances. I'm really tired and I think everyone would be better with some rest." she turns back and heads to bed.

Maccha reads the letter and gets a little bit cross-eyed. Certainly a lot of proper nouns. The name Silver Ravens does not sound completely unfamiliar but she does not even know from where, until Believer says it is related to the Rose of Kintargo.

She looks around, feeling out of place. Heroes? Once again, she remembers being knocked out by two Chelish Citizens. Chellish citizens, not soldiers or even with Dottari basic training. Just two ruffians with a mace. And that was what she was:A ruffian with daggers, I guess.

The other four seemed better suited for the job. One of the twins was extremely competent and composed and the other, while very openly nervous, basically saved Rexus with her magic and was also hardcore! She wanted to cuff the guards after getting them naked!

Believer also had powers and so had the Half-Elf, clearly from Milani herself. I wish The Everbloom also granted me magic.. She shooed away those thoughts, that was unfair to Milani. An ex-Asmodean like herself did not deserve such privilege.

Regardless of all her doubts, she knew that when the revolution came calling, she would answer. She just nods and lets the others guide the conversation, already having her decision made.

Maccha follows the man to the Tooth and Nail. She never had the opportunity to ask if that was one of the places her mother once cooked at. Maccha had been here before, but not enough to consider herself familiar with the place. Still, Old Kintargo's strange mix of buildings always felt like home.

She listened intently to what the man who introduced himself as Rexus Victocora said. She quickly tried to remember if she had ever heard that name or at least the surname.

Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Maccha did not want to interrupt, but many questions flooded her mind. Why did he follow us? Is he a contact from the others and I just happened to be around? but the mention of the Night of Ashes stopped her thoughts in her tracks and she felt someone's hand on her back. Her own Night of Ashes was a long time ago.

She remembered the smell of burnt wood and flesh, The black smoke blocking the view. The symbol of Asmodeus and of the Thrunes. And those infernal dogs. The rest of his speech brought her back to reality for a while.

She was waiting for this opportunity ever since that day, caution be damned.

"Yes."

Maccha quickly takes a peek at the three people fighting they were supposed to help and see they handily deal with the Chelish Citizens' Group members.

I have greatly overestimated my abilities, they don't need help nor am I able to offer any... And the Citizens have ceased playing nice.

Maccha had in her head she would be able to win with a hand tied behind her back, only using the hilt of her daggers, an idealization of Milani's teachings. But this was a matter of survival. Her friend helped her by knocking one the assailants down and she would be remiss to let the opportunity go to waste. As they stand up, Maccha attempts to stab them.

AoO on Red, lethal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

The dagger perforates them, but it is not enough as they attack Maccha who steps back, making them barely miss her nose.
If I actually missed, disregard this!

The distraction makes her not notice the other Citizen attacking her, burying their mace on Maccha's ribs. "Believer, r-" she does not manage to finish her sentence as she loses consciousness mid fall to the ground.

Macha has 4/9 HP and took 5 nnonlethal damage. She is, therefore, unconscious and I cannot take any actions.
