Vetra nods and walks with her to be a bit of ways from the others so she could listen to Shezen. She'd listen and nods slowly to her words. Her hands would come up and rub her snout for a moment as she considered her words. She didn't like the situation that was developing within Shezen's clan and she had to give it some thought. Also she never ever heard of a purple scaled kobold, the idea of a kobold as purple caused her some mild alarm as it was... impossible? No, just never heard of.

She looks to Shezen, "I'll help you find that relic. If you need my help, I offer it fully to help expose Tartuk. You'll have my word."

Vetra's muscles tensed when she spoke about what they were doing to her, feeling that anger bubble up once more but she calmed it, trying to ease her feeling son the matter. She watched with sadness as Shezen moved to the body, but her sadness turned to surprise when Shezen breathed acid upon it. She blinks then, shaking her head before stealing her resolve. She'd begin looking for anything that looked like a relic, starting with the chieftain's hut.

She'd find the small ivory statue depicting a crouching horned devil. She picked it up and gave it a quick study before leaving the hut and looking to the others with pleading eyes. She moves to assist Shezen with collecting the hides and follows her out. She passes the party members with a soft voice, "Allow her to grieve, I'll be with her just outside."

Vetra follows Shezen with the relic and some of the other skins of her fellow clan mates and begins helping her set up the pyre. While doing so she would offer comfort to Shezen where she can before broaching a subject. "I'm sorry for you lost. It angered me to see what they have done to you, to them." Her voice was quiet and soft, still speaking in draconic. "I'm tired of seeing our kin treated this way... so many enemies..." She pauses and looks to Shezen, "I'm here for you if you so choose."

Vetra smiled in the kobold fashion when Shezan calmed down and replied, though when she said not to trust anyone from her clan it caused her to pause. She tilted her head showing curiosity from it. Her eyes quickly took in the extra details that suddenly become more apparent. She wanted to approach this conversation really carefully as she began to reply to Shezan. She had to admit, she liked how jet black her scales were.

Clearing her throat she began in draconic, "What do you mean not to trust anyone when we return to your clan? Is there something... wrong with them? I want to help our kin, help you Shezen." She says earnestly.

She pauses for a moment, "You have beautiful black scales, they do not look like the others." She compliments, "They are truly a magnificent color."

The gold kobold nodded her thanks to Mehaila as she came over to heal the kobold. When he quickly reacted to the sight of Mehaila she would keep her movements slow and careful. She did not want to startle the kobold or scare it further.

Vetra would be quick to begin speaking in draconic to the frightened kobold, "It's okay, your safe. We came to kill the mites for your Sootscale clan. Do not worry, we won't harm you. I want to take you back to your clan, return you home to be with the ones you know." She began, her voice coming out gutturally soft as she forced her vocal chords to not give that usually high pitched voice of hers. He opened her arms, extending a hand as she slowly stood to give a helping hand. She exposed her neck slightly to show she meant no harm and posed no threat to the black kobold. "I am Vetra Nemrax, from the Nemrax clan. I've come to help your clan with these evil creatures who have been attacking your people. Come with me and I can take you back to your clan safely. You have my promise and my protection."

Vetra spat a wad of blood down on the corpse she was hovering over. That deep primal rage slowly subsided as she breathed heavily, pure hatred dripping off of ever nerve of hers. Her wound's hurt, she was battered and bleeding but she didn't care at the moment. The only thing she cared about was her kin. She felt the anger of all the ones who had been killed, suffered and died at the hands of the mites. Snarling she looked around, looking for more to kill, more to destroy but all around her was nothing but death and destruction. It was one her eyes landed on the unconscious black kobold, who laid bound on the floor that her rage subsided.

Growling she turned quickly and immediately went over to the bound black kobold, quickly speaking in draconic, prayers, whispers to Apsu, anything to help save the kobolds life. She'd make quick work of their bindings and immediately call out to her party, "Someone come and heal this one! Please!" Her voice was distraught as she called for aide, it was clearly apparent. She would already begin to do what she could to stabilize her kin. Her heart was racing now that the adrenaline had subsided and she was now worrying over the beaten kobold. She would worry about her own wounds later, she wanted to save this one. Any attempts to heal her first would be swatted away angrily with her insisting on her unconscious kin receive the help it needed first. While she tried to keep the kobold comfortable, putting its head in her lap she would be whispering prayers to Apsu for guidance and aide.

Vetra honestly didn't know what to make of the discussion and how it derailed so quickly. When it stopped becoming about the settlement they wished it to be she had backpedaled out of the conversation quickly. She couldn't understand Mehaila's reasoning with the Drow, she's heard stories from her clan but never seen one herself but the blatant denial of their existence because of the evil they represent hurt Vetra. She couldn't help but wonder if that's how most people view races who are 'evil' then them. She frowns and silently eats her stew before getting up from the campfire as quickly as she could before taking a little patrol, watching the area's as the conversation divulged into the argument at hand. She made sure to be away from that as far as she could for now.

She was happy to know that Delan would be sticking around, why? She rightfully couldn't put a finger on it but it made her calm to know that he wouldn't be leaving them any time soon. Her thoughts then drifted to Moira, frowning as she almost felt guilty, guilty for the fight she caused with her but she just couldn't get a read on her. She didn't want to be enemies with anyone here but she felt their relationship was strenuous at best and it only bothered her further.

Starting from her thoughts when Moira let out a yelled out, causing her to jump slightly but she kept her eyes on the woman for just a moment before letting out a slow sigh. She was thinking of approaching her but she didn't know if now was the right time. Out of just fear of being attacked again, she would end up taking the first watch, regardless of who else was keeping a lookout and would poke whoever was next before crawling into her own tent to try and rest.

Verta snaps out of her trance on the gem when Lyra moved to seal the cave. Letting out a sigh she moved to finish working on the camp, helping set up the tents and campfire while the others watched Lyra. It was when the subject of a settlement came up Vetra quickly chirped up, "A place of acceptance and justice. My kin should be welcomed, should be allowed admittance and a trial. I am fine if we remove those who do not work but my kin, the ones I left behind, they can help us, especially with the mining of that." She gives a short nod to the... thing that was just sealed.

Looking to Mehaila she nods a little, "Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but everyone should respect each other enough where it isn't a problem. Everyone will learn how to get along and live peacefully, in time. But I want this settlement to be a home for my kin." Her voice was steady and serious. She wasn't asking, more of informing what she wanted. She stood there, watching everyone's faces as she spoke, "If... that is an issue, then I understand and I will find other lands to settle. I want a home for everyone."

Vetra was just really confused at why everyone was displaying a range of emotions about Moira stripping and going into the lake. She wandered closer to listen in to what was being said, drinking in all the details. She'd give peek at the stone and her eyes would go wide at the gems... it was so shiny! She'd have to fight a sudden urge to grab them and just, hold them close to her. For whatever reason, they were becoming irresistible to hold or touch.

She'd approach Lyra looking closer at the orange diamond that she cleaned up being drawn by the beautiful color. She wouldn't say anything but would be hovering close, just entranced by the gems beauty and the revelation that they just became incredibly rich incredibly fast. But that diamond she held, it just... drew her in curiously as her bright blue eyes watched the refractions of the sunlight bounce around in the gem. The world just seemed to melt away the longer she stared at the gem, almost forgetting where she was.

Vetra was glad to have a good night's rest, feeling a bit refreshed and thankful she got her own blood out of her leather jerkin. She rode along with the others, this time keeping close, even to Moira of all things. She kept her eyes on the surrounding lands and would hum a little during the long day of travel.

When they began to pack for camp and Rosa called out something she would scuttle over to try and peer into the waters to see anything. Frowning she think's for a moment as she watches the water and then looks about everyone else. "Don't know about you... but I'm not a great swimmer and I might just look like an afternoon delight to whatever's in there." She shakes her head for a moment before clearing her throat, turning to finish setting up camp as there really isn't much she could do at the moment as she thought over what she could possibly do.

Suddenly she stops, looking back to the lake as she felt something nagging on the back of her brain but she just couldn't place it.

Vetra, once the blood rush and adrenaline was fading she seemed to slump down to the ground on her rear. Now confused and well... still pretty angry at the attack. Snarling she shakes her head, trying to clear it but it only made the world spin a little. Huffing she crosses her arms and stares at her feet for a moment.

When Delan spoke his prayer and she felt another wash of energy flood her, bringing that familiar rejuvenating warmth once more. She looked up at him, blinking as she studied him for a moment as he left. Feeling conflicted, she wanted to pursue him and speak with him but at the same time, she wanted to give him the space he needed. Sighing she elects to give him some space now, her hand coming up to her throat and rubbing the cut that nearly ended her. She had never been close to death before and it honestly scared her. Pulling her knees to her chest she turns to look at the fire.

Eventually, she looks to Rosa, "I think watches are going to be important. We should be a bit more mindful of it... we don't know these lands and we do not want to get caught off guard like that again... I... I don't want to come close to death like that again." Standing, she brushes herself off. "I'm going to stand in the rain, try and wash my blood off of myself..." With that she moves to stand outside, entering the rain as she begins to pat herself down. She turns her head to catch Delan and finally made a move.

Approaching slowly and carefully, she frowns as she what position he was in. A pang of worry and empathy washed over her. "Delan..." she whispers, her hand coming to touch the top of his head as she stood before him, trying to giving a reassuring pat. That's how they do it right? Well, that's what her old friend did and it always brought her a great amount of comfort. "Thank you. For saving my life." She says softly.

The kobold, seeing the grig fall snarled and pivoted, turning to the last grig that remained on the battlefield she takes a step forward to ensure she was in range and holds out a hand, pointing towards the twisted fey and began uttering a string of arcane words in draconic as a current of red energy balled up at the tip of her finger. Suddenly she grinned as the condensed energy exploded out in a cone of flames. She aims it just enough to keep it from bathing her own allies in the blast.

Burning Hands, 10 Dmg, plus 5 against vulnerability totaling 15 damage.

Everything was happening so fast that poor Vetra couldn't get a handle on it just yet and it seemed like she wouldn't get that chance at all as she felt the grig's claws rack across her throat, gasping as her hands came to the wound as blood flowed freely. Her vision blurs as she fell to her knees, trying to refocus herself and steel her will though she felt the darkness creeping into her vision and her limbs begin to grow heavy. She gasps, trying to call for help but she just couldn't without pain suddenly searing through every nerve in her body.

Anger filled her, a primal rage that suddenly flared in life as she forced herself to her legs, staring defiantly at the Grig. She wouldn't let herself be put down like a dog. She wouldn't accept that this may be the end. Her lip's peeled back, revealing her fangs as she let off a snarl.

She felt life spring back into her limbs, her weight lightens and the creeping darkness suddenly abide. Vision clearing as she felt the magic that coursed through the very fiber of the world move through her body from Delan's touch. The warmth flooded her and she felt something tug on the inside, she felt the sinews of her flesh reconnect and the scales bind back once more. The staunching of the flow of crimson blood that stained her front and the refocusing of her will. It was everything she needed as she let out a guttural, although high pitched, roar as Vetra lunged at the Grig, losing herself to her primal nature.

Blue arcane energy suddenly sparked from the corner of her eyes before she lunged with her claws flashing. Her body twisting bringing her weaponized tail into bare down upon the fey creature, and if she had the opportunity she'd sink her fangs into the beast, unleashing a full onslaught of her natural attacks upon the creature that dared lay a wound upon her with unerring accuracy.

Vetra was nodding off as the fire dwindled and her group slowly began to drift, but the sudden warning caused her to look up and turn to look behind her, but it was too late as she let out a scream of pain as her scales were parted and blood flowed freely. The sudden attack, pain, and fear suddenly overwhelmed her as she suddenly felt a rising anger suddenly flare up in her throat. As she stood, she opens her mouth to yell out in draconic, "You little Shi-" she began before a sudden bout of flame gushed from her yelling mouth that turned into an eruption of fire, catching Vetra by surprise as she spewed forth the flames.

Vetra listened to Delan but she didn't quite respond, suddenly felt a burst of anger flash through her. Everything was so confusing, so odd and out of place, she just couldn't find her barrings on anything. It frustrated her to no end. She felt the need to kick the coals, knock things over, yell up into the sky but, she refrained, channeling it all in for now as it was nor the time and place. Her fists clench as she let out a puff of smoke as she sighed, which took her by surprise. She sat there a bit stunned for a moment as she looked between the group, shaking her thoughts away for a moment.

"Thank you Delan. I have some things I have to think on." Her voice was a bit strained, it was obvious that the kobold was experiencing a sudden influx of emotions and feelings and her voice betrayed it as she settled herself near the fire, peering into the flames with her knees coming up to settle against her chest.

Although it may seem that Vetra was not paying attention to those around her, on the contrary, she was soaking up every word that was spoken. Her eyes would finally shift from the flames as she turns to look at Lyra for a moment, a frown settling on her features. She also caught the playful words spoken by Moira and for some reason it made her... feel different. She couldn't place it but her hands dug into her armor as she tried to settle the tumultuous storm that was now raging inside of her. She kept herself separated from the conversation for now as she tried to settle the feelings that raging within her.

Vetra's eyes looked up to the half-elf for a moment, thinking about his questions as she looked at the cooking fire. Sighing softly she would glance to him, "There are many things about my form that I noticed... that I stand out from the others... the scales obviously but not many if any have horns like mine," she'd point to her head. Most kobolds had small nubs if any at all but her were pretty impressive for a kobold, and looked very close to what a miniature version of a gold dragons horn crown would look like. "I've found that I've been a bit... resistant? I think that's the right word to fire, kobolds normally aren't..." she'd then suddenly place her hand in the cooking fire to prove her point, not letting it linger too long but just enough where normal kobolds would cry in pain, she'd pull it out to show that her hand was hot to the touch but there was no visible damage for the short amount of time she had it.

"And now... I feel this... warmth growing within me I just cannot describe." She frowns, her brow furrowing as she focused back on the cooking fire intently. She suddenly seemed to get flustered by something that ran through her mind. Sighing she sat back down for a moment, frowning. "I don't know... It's... frustrating. I don't even know my purpose. Perhaps I should offer prayer to Apsu tonight... hopefully he will answer me..." She seemed to be getting lost down a whirlpool of thoughts as her shoulders began to slump slightly, growing silent.

Vetra nods to Delan's request of helping getting food going. She listens quietly as she helped stoke the fire, processing his words for a moment as the silence began to hand in the air.

"I'm happy, that I was able to give you a chance. I saw something in you that I know that might've been overlooked. I know that look." She looks to Delan then, her eyes soft, "Thank you Delan, that mean's a lot to me." She'd place a hand on the man's arm before refocusing herself back on the dinner, hoping that maybe her helping out with the meal will ease some of the tension between her and the rest of the party.

"Sometimes... I don't even know who I am... I'm not like many kobolds, something is different and I don't know what... and with all this... mystical magic happenings, I'm just unsure what is really going on." She starts unexpectedly towards the end of the cooking, "I need friends because I feel something changing about myself and I do not know what to make of it." Her voice was quiet again as she helped stir the meal, whatever it was, despite the quality of it she felt her mouth water as her stomach growled audibly.

Vetra was in a daze from the lightning bolt; it had taken the wind from her and it was hard for her to recollect her barrings and reorient herself. The suddenness of what transpired has caused her to lose all of her direction. It took a bit longer than the rest for the kobold to get back to her feet and righted, blinking away the white spots in her vision as she shivered.

Vetra felt utterly helpless, being covered in mud and soaked to the bone. She just could only stand by and watch the others try and help Lyra. The least they needed was a kobold attempting to help by creating a crowd around the injured woman. Vetra was worried about Lyra and her familiars; that feeling surprised her and only caused her to withdraw slightly. Her hand unknowingly going to the snout of the horse that had bolted only moments before.

Vetra felt helpless again. She began to hate that feeling. Though worry and fear were the more prominent things she felt right now, she did feel a bit of anger brewing once more. She was overwhelmed by it all and it just didn't help the matter in the least. Firming herself she looked around trying to find something to assist with. Spying the horses she quickly moved to gather them all, bringing them off to the side so they wouldn't interfere with the proceedings and accidentally get hurt by the lightning encased druid.

When Delan questioned her about her safety and health, she could only mutter out, "I-I'm fine. Is... Lyra going to be okay?" She asks in a soft, diminutive voice, her eyes peering around the bard to glance at the druid. "So many things are happening... I just don't know what to make of it anymore. My certainty in what I'm doing is waning." She blinks, surprised she admitted that, looking up to the man for a moment before shaking her head.

"Please, just make sure Lyra is okay..." Vetra says, locking eyes with Delan, "That's how you can help me." Sighing she reclines back against the horse, unsure of what to do next. Before Delan would move to attend to anyone else, she'd suddenly ask, "How can I help?" in a rather weak voice.

Female Gold Scaled Kobold Fighter/Magus 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 20, T 17, FF 14 | CMD 22 CMDF 16 | F +4, R +9, W +3 | Init +8 | Low-Light Vision; Perception +6

Vetra yelps in surprise as she lost control of the horse, holding fast on the reigns. She yells out for help but her voice was quickly drowned by the storm as she struggled to bring the horse to heel, though she quickly learned the error of her ways as the horse twisted and turned, bucking as he began bolting into the forest. With her holding onto the reigns she risked the fate of being dragged by the mighty steed. Reluctantly she lets go of her firm grip on the reins, letting the horse bolt with a defeated sigh. 'Great... now I'm going to get flack for losing my mount,' she chides herself.

She shivered, the rain cold and her leathers soaking wet, rain slicking off her scales as she rushes forward against the wind, digging her talons into the ground to resist being thrown around like a rag doll by the wind.

She'd catch up just in time to see Lyra hovering in the air, the thundering lightning above caused Vetra to jump slightly. She couldn't hear the agonized screams from the druid, all she saw was the female hovering doing something. She quickly tries to ascertain what she's doing.

Spellcraft 11 to figure out what Lyra is doing or what is happening.

Vetra is quick to follow the suggestions of Lyra, quickly getting up and shrugging off her feelings for the time being. Despite the danger of the storm that was brewing, it's a nice distraction for her. She'd immediately try and help her horse through into the forest and make attempts at calming her steed as she stuck with the rest. She didn't have much equipment and that she has been in a neat little backpack on her. Kobolds and horses never really got along and she wouldn't trust her few meager possessions to an animal that could suddenly bolt with everything she owns.

Once she was with the group she gives Mehaila a furtive glance with a little smile, as it had to find its way to her lips regardless, "If I could calm the weather, I think I would always make it clear skies with a nice cool breeze." She gives a nod to Lyra, "As she says, taking cover is the best thing we can do..."

When Moira offers up to scout ahead she bites her lip for a moment, considering to help but realizing her being alone with Moira would possibly not be a good situation to put either of them in. Sighing she resigns herself to just waiting for results. Not much she could do at the moment as well so might as well keep herself with the others.

She couldn't help but watch Delan as he cast his spell to aid his allies. Something suddenly rose in her chest and that suddenly inkling of a feeling confused her as she watches the mist around the pedal grow and leave a trail as he headed off with Moira. Her brows furrowed slowly as she now had something else to question and scrutinize. Now was not the time for thoughts like this, so she casts them off before beginning to follow the rest in following the trail left by the scouts, offering a little whisper of guidance to Apsu under her breath as she struggled with her steed.

'Life is messy and confusing. Do not lose sight on your focus Vetra,' she repeats in her mind over and over again, clearing out all other thoughts that didn't pertain to surviving this storm and these wild lands.

Vetra kept herself quiet and kept herself at a bit of a distance from everyone. Her mood had been soured, her attitude towards the party had soured as well. She wasn't sure of herself nor the people around her.

Due to this, she had been about ten feet from the group, keeping a watch out on the lands around them. She was shivering all the while, bringing her arms across her chest to try and keep herself warm. She did not like how the weather was turning and gave a glance to the group as the cooking fire was smothered in the gust of wind.

She wasn't willing to acknowledge Rosa's presence yet. She wasn't going to attempt to speak with her for at least a couple minutes. Keeping her eyes forward and her mouth clamped shut for a moment. Rosa's persistence paid off as the gold kobold posture slowly relaxes as she let off a soft sigh. She tilts her head to the side, eyeing the women for a moment. "You must understand then, how painful it was for me to see that reaction to them. What if I was there? What if I wasn't introduced to your sister before showing up? That would've been what I'd be experiencing, instant distrust. It's what I always feel..." She pauses for a moment before looking forward as the silence grew once more.

The silence didn't last long before Vetra breaks it with a wavering voice. "It's hard for me to even speak or approach my own kin," Vetra's voice cracks slightly as her grip on the reigns tightens.

When Moira spoke, Vetra bites her tongue. She couldn't trust herself to say anything more on the subject nor to Moira. It was not because of anger, but a deep sadness. Lifting her head up she stared directly ahead, feeling her cheeks moisten as tears slowly fell. She really couldn't express what she was feeling to anyone right now, not with her emotions running amok.

Vetra simply 'Tsks' and looks at the group with narrowing eyes. "Forgive me if I speak with heated words, but I'm the only one who has suffered enough from the beginning with prejudice of my kind. And they don't even know what breasts are, they heard you conversing amongst yourselves and they took 'show them your breasts' as a threat, for all intents and purposes it could've been a weapon. So do not pretend that you did not make the first step in causing them to rile up. I'm finished with this discussion. Your races do not understand the barriers that have existed between us nor what my kind and I suffer on a daily basis." She turns from the group and spurs her horse ahead of them about twenty feet, keeping herself well away from everyone so she could be with her own thoughts.

"Just like every other time, Vetra..." she speaks to herself in a soft voice in her native tongue while looking ahead. Her shoulders slumping as she glances back to the group. A sharp eye from the others could see a visage of pain and doubt before she looks away from them once more and looks ahead. "Is there any hope?" she mumbles to herself, "They may never understand..."

Vetra curls her lips back at Moira, flashing her many pointed teeth. Turning her horse to face her, "When humans and any other larger races immediately attempt to kill us, what do you expect the reaction would be? Hmm? They saw us all as threats and rightfully so, I'm sure most of you were itching to pull a blade on them before I spoke up. Because we're not beautiful, nor are we like your kind, every race's first impulse is to kill the other. Many Kobold's have been killed by your fairer races by going places you should not be. I will not tolerate your insults to my kin." Vetra growls with a low rumble as Moira walks off, eyes narrowing after her.

She gives a soft 'huff' with a slight trail of smoke lifting from her breath. As the others pledged their assistance in helping her kin which soothed her temper but did not quiet it. Looking to Mehaila she shook her head slowly "Not the tree, what lives in or around it. Beasts that kill them without a thought. Much like the rest of the world views me and my kin." Shaking her head with a slow sigh, she shifts her weight in the saddle.

"They described them as smaller than my kin, ugly by kobold standards with blue skin and bald heads. Resistant to steel weapons and are from the fey I presume, they mentioned them not being from this world. They tamed the great beast, which sounds like a large insect. They make frequent raids into their territory, indiscriminately killing them and using my kin as clothing. My kin attempted to beg for mercy but they kill them outright," she pauses looking to Moira for one final moment.

"Bother because that is how we bridge gaps and find solutions." Her words were hot, "I want more allies then enemies and my kin would do well to finally have allies then either being killed indiscriminately or subjugated by a chromatic." With that she turned her horse and began to ride away towards the east, her eyes set forward as she worked on her temper.

Vetra smiles, nodding to the Kobold. "Thank you. I will return before time has passed and will bring you what is yours. We will be dealing with those bad humans soon." flashing a smile, grateful that they could make some arrangements before standing and slowly backing away from the kobolds. Once she was a respectable distance she mounts her horse and returns to the group.

"They pointed towards the east, from the sounds of it we should not have an issue in finding it. I want to get going and finish the deal I made. Having allies will be incredibly beneficial." She'd give them a once over, "From the looks of it you all understand draconic?" It wasn't a far stretch, hearing them discuss the tree.

She studies them all for a moment before shaking her head, "I'd appreciate it, when I deal with my own kind, that threats, visible or no, aren't displayed. It makes it harder and it's hard enough." She gives Moira a pointed look. Vetra's face was a bit unreadable but she didn't seem too pleased.

"I gave them my word that I will do this task for them. I understand if none of you wish to partake in it due to my kin's... legacy of sorts. But I'll hold my word."

Vetra blinked, doing her best not to laugh at the word breast being used by the kobold who had no idea what they were, it reminded her of herself long ago. Though she kept eyes on the kobold speaking. Giving a short nod, she continued with a quiet voice so the kobold could only hear her.

"Yes, we been picked on, too many enemies. Time to fight back and make us all powerful and strong." She pauses when he propositions an offer. A smile would spread her lips as she gave another nod. "Yes, I will get you your things and bring back what is yours. We have an agreement?" She'd offer the kobold signature of a handshake, dipping her head and splaying her hands. She'd hold that posture for a moment before asking one last question.

"What are these enemies under the Great Tree look like?"

She'd slowly nod, "Not all, some are of others. We are looking for a home. I do not wish to be your enemy. I want to extend a hand of friendship and possibly an alliance. There is no need for violence between us and your tribe." Her hands would remain in plain sight, but her eyes would catch the hesitation among the others.

"We came to help others. Big bandit lord is a threat to everyone here. I'm here to slay the bandit lord, make the lands safe." She'd pause for a moment, keeping her voice soft and silky smooth. "I have many kobold kin who seek a home, with no threat. I want to settle these lands for kobold kind... I want to make these a safe home for us."

Vetra would come up slowly, taking a seated position at the point that the kobold indicated with his eyes. She'd recline on her heels, ready to move at a moments notice if the black kobold attempted to make a violent move towards her. She'd place her hand's palm's down on her knees, her eyes looking towards the black kobold with attention.

"Let's speak." She'd begin in draconic.

Vetra frowned as she then moves to dismount from the horse. Her own tail twitching as she studied the kobold. Taking one step forward she'd try once more to speak with them. "We don't want to fight. We're the same, let us talk, yes? Help eachother make clans and kobolds stronger."

Vetra barely would give the group a nod turning to the other kobolds. She would raise a hand and try and speak to them in draconic, "We won't touch your radish patch. It's yours! It's good to see other kobold, I haven't seen my own kin in a long time!" she'd move up slowly, but only enough for them to see that she was a kobold.

"I'm Vetra. What clan are you?"

"Oh..." Vetra replied with a tinge of sadness as she was pointed to and saw the black scales. She would sit silently for a moment, seemingly conflicted before turning her head to the others. Letting out a short sigh shed close her eyes for a moment.

"They will most likely react poorly to me. And all of you if they see. I'll go in alone, you stay back a little bit. I... don't want to kill them... but... they might try to attack me..." She would pause looking over to the fat kobolds. "Okay? I will only want to resort to killing them as a last resort. Please?" She would give them a pleading look.

Vetra was litterrally too distracted to see what was happening or what the others were pointing out. It would take a moment for here to realize someone said her name. Suddenly she realized what was happening and the hearing the word kobold really perked her up.

"Wait... what?" she'd ask, spurring her horse to stand next to Moira and Rosa. "Where? Color? What are there colors? Where?" her questions were quick and quiet as she tried to stand up on the horse slightly to try and see where they were.

Vetra was left stunned, speechless and confused. She looked around warily. She didn't trust the peace she felt, she never felt peace like this and it was frightening for her. Her arms wrapped around her chest, as she looked up to the others.

She would immediately notice the obvious tattoos that would be visible like Rosa's or Moira's. Though she would not say anything immediately but her stare was obvious.

In almost an odd way she'd point her finger up to Rosa's forehead and simply say, "What's that?" in a surprisingly calm voice.

Vetra blinked then quickly grabbed Lyra helping her sit straight. "Lyra! Cast something, anything! Uh...." she paused watching the vines shoot through the cleric eyes widening. "She's overloading with magic!" she finally sputtered out. Unsure how to help Lyra or the Cleric.

Vetra has been on the edge of the group, being rather reclusive and withdrawn for unknown reasons. She had elected to be the first to take the watch for when the group rested for the night. A rather odd mood for the kobold as she just watched the group converse.

There wasn't anything from then kobold until a sudden green flash appeared, the kobold quickly running over. "What's going on?!" Blue magic sparking at her finger tips. She's look to Lyra quickly, her eyes quickly scanning over her body trying to deduce anything that she can.

If she finds anything she'd quickly point it out and retrieve it, if not she'd mount her horse with some difficult before clearing her throat. "I believe I'm ready to continue." Vetra looked around quickly once the vines were defeated. Dusting herself off she came towards the lake's edge, seeing how quickly the water deepens she'd opt to stay out of it.

"Is she going to be alright?" She calls over to Domitian, concern lacing her words, betraying her feelings for just a moment before she cleared her throat.

Vetra grinned as her claws cut through the vines quickly. Though the chaotic scene that would suddenly unfold around her caused her to jump, more out of shock as the grass started to grab at her limbs. She'd quickly move out of the way, picking up her feet quickly each time the grass attempts to grab her. Not the most graceful way of avoiding it but it worked!

Growling in frustration Vetra would lash out at the nearest vine to her, striking out quickly with all the strength she can muster.

Vetra cursed in draconian, the strings of guttural language flowing out of her like a river as she she quickly jumped off the horse and rushed towards the vines. The little gold kobold sought out the nearest fine, muscles tensing as she struck out with one claw, before a single thick string left her mouth, her next claw attack coming in suddenly flaring with a sickly green aura as she dug into her instincts, attempting to keep the vines occupied.

Survival: 16 = 16 Rolled in Discord

Vetra was curious as to what the vine was, so she was keeping back behind Mehaila for about twenty feet or so. Far enough in case if there was immediate danger she could either bolt or assist the elf. Something deep an internal flared as soon as Lyra shouted about an assassin vine, stopping her movement quickly she back pedaled about five feet, watching Mehaila carefully.

Vetra was riding the entire time on the outside of the conversation. Not really knowing what to really make of the situation, though having to sweet talk her way out of a lot of situations with humans, she thought about offering her two cents but the conversation seemed to then have gotten heated. Deigning this to be a human... or well other matter outside of what the Kobold felt she could offer any input that would hold any ground.

She'd keep alert, scanning the surroundings making sure that during their conversation they wouldn't come upon anything that would be remotely interesting, though she'd mull over the heated conversation that was taking place.

When Domitian spurs his horse forward, she'd do the same, but keep to the left of the group a bit as she kept a steady watch. "Keep steady..." was all she would voice out from the outskirts of the group as they moved forward.

Vetra would nod slowly, her eyes constantly scanning the horizon around them. "I... live in forests for a long time after Papa died." She'd go quiet for a second. "Lost my home when he died, so I was in the forest for a long time before meeting more kobolds who are just like me. Gold, without a home. Ended up encountering plenty of fey's that call the forests in Brevoy home."

Vetra would nod and silently move alongside them. Though she eyed the directions that they pointed out, she couldn't make anything out. Trusting her companions she would click her horse to move forward, immediately following Lyra's advice on the matter.

"I spoke to plenty of fey's in my time. If they speak, let me try and speak to them first?" She suggested to the group.

With the guard appeased and the situation calmed, she gave a wink to Mehaila before turning to Lyra and returning the charter carefully. It'd be best for her to keep a hold of it, not risk damaging it when she could easily get into a scrap. "I'll be sleeping upon the ramparts. I like to keep an eye on things." She said with a smile, not wanting to burden Oleg at all. She'd keep her ear open for the other conversation but she would grab her pack and the potion of cure light wounds and already make a small nest up in one of the towers.

She would join the others for dinner and any celebrations that may happen, but she would retire for the night to her little nest in the tower after helping everyone store and take care of the horses and plentiful loot they have found. She'd keep an initial watch at first before finally retiring to sleep.

Vetra slowly turned her head to look at the guards, trying to keep a low profile for now. Humans tended not to take too kindly to a sight of a kobold right away. 'Dragons hoard! Options... What are my options' she quickly thought as she tried to evaluate the situation. For now, she would try and keep a low profile but not be suspicious about it. Though when Domitian began speaking, Vetra visibly cringed. Weighing her options she slowly got out of the cart, making her self as non-threatening as possible, as she slowly walked up, preparing her voice with a soft throat clear.

"I'm very happy to see the fine men of Brevoy out here protecting those in need. Sir, you have my deepest thanks and respect. Lyra, please could you procure the charter for the fine Lieutenant? I know the ride must have been long and tiring. Besides the charter, is there anything else I can help you with? I'm sure our lovely host Svetlana has filled your bellies, she is quite the generous hostess, don't you agree?" Vetra's voice took on a sweet, soft tone. She was playing up the demure stature of herself and with all of her movements were careful and slow.

Vetra blinked twice, confused at the sudden and blunt offer that the elven lady made. Shaking her head quietly she would finally get to her stew after identifying some of the items. She'd shovel the stew down and then offer to take the first watch of the night.

Assuming nothing bad happens or she sees anything of note.

At the end of her shift, she'd wake the next person and then get some sleep. In the morning, she'd help Moira pack the wagon quietly and then quickly jump up in the back. The horses weren't much her thing and she tried to keep herself as diminutive as possible to not spook or scare the horses with her presence. She'd glance to Moira for a moment, letting her eyes linger but she wouldn't say anything. During the ride, she would pull her tail weapons onto her lap and begin cleaning and repairing them.

Vetra releases her spell and immediately rummages through the loot, setting a new pile of the items that were emanating magical auros. As she did so she’d announce to the group, ”The staves have enchantments, both the handaxes, this string of pearl beads, the liquid, scroll case and the silver sapling is obviously magical.” She’d look to the group but before spending time to identify them she’d wait until she got to the new camp.

While the food is cooked she’d quickly focus on the following, picking each up and just concentrating quietly.

First she’d pick up the necklace and cast detect magic, uttering words under her breath as her hand would sustain a soft glow. She’d sit their patiently while casting, waiting for the full longevity of the spell to return the information about the item.

When that was done, she’d step through the next two staves, repeating the process with each one, then the handaxes. Once that was done she’d cast upon the scroll case.

"Ah, elf, sorry, the two races tend to... uh... blend?" She smiled awkwardly, "I don't mean to offend." She'd offer quickly before finishing the duties of the loot garnering, and then moving on to the bandit with everyone else. She, however, watched the work be done, admiring Moira's grit, it was actually something the kobold wouldn't balk at doing.

Vetra quickly helped Moira with the seeds, giving her any she found while she was foraging. With the most of the procession, Vetra stayed silent and observed. She was more intrigued by Moira's actions and rather impressed. Begrudgingly accepting that the human had smarts about her. Honestly the more time she spent with the human, the more she grew to appreciate her.

The gold kobold would continue to watch everything, drinking it all in as this was new to her. It intrigued her and the fact of the holy water that was poured only caused her to step closer to the proceedings. It was then she started slightly at the sudden ghostly screaming rising up from all around her and with the wind suddenly picking up.

She was left a bit stunned looking at the forest around her, already in a defensive posture as she thought they were in danger once more, but after a moment she relaxed just slightly. She looked at the odd plant growing from the grave, which only prompted her to suddenly dispense one of her spells to detect magic around her. She was a little on edge and wanted to get a better read on the area around her. Her eyes glowing just slightly as she quickly made a gesture with her claws to make the required signs before holding two 'fingers' up as she closed her eyes, focusing on the spell to get as much information as she could.

Apologies for the flip-flop on how Vetra speaks, still trying to hone in how she talks.

Vetra sorted through the loot that they pried off the guards and saw a piece of armor she had interest in, it looked like it may be better quality then what she had, but it was apparent she would need to get it adjusted to fit her. Setting that aside along with the two staffs, music box and the unusual waraxe for priority inspection along with the vials. When that is done and the bodies were dumped into the small grave she'd walk over to the group near the bandit.

As she comes into sight she'd wad up a spitball and spit it out on the grass below the bandit. "Why is he still alive? Did we get everything out of him that we needed?" Her hands twitched slightly, she was uneasy around the bandit and she just wanted to end his life. "Charter has already sealed his fate. If we don't need him much longer, I say we kill him and dump his body with the rest."

Vetra huffed slightly annoyed at the dangling human, though she pushed the urge to slash at his face for no apparent reason, he just looked like he had a really punchable face. Mehalia's hand on her shoulder caused her to blink out of her intense focus on the bandit before giving her a nod. "I help, yes. Prevent undeath. Sick things."

The gold kobold would go with Mehalia and help her perform the rites and drag the bodies. When they found a soft enough ground to dig easily she'd begin digging the hole big enough needed. Before any bodies were lowered into the hole, she'd do a very thorough check of the bodies for anything of relevance or use. While doing so she'd give a glance to Mehalia for a moment, before commenting "You bow skills good pretty human." She tried to compliment as she was digging through the armor and weapons on the bodies, searching for pouches or hidden hideaways.
