About Vas Varg'sden

Vas Varg'sden was born to the Goblin Chieftain Joddog and the village's witchdoctor Droas. It was prophesized that their union would bear a son, whose prowess would be legendary. They expected a great warrior, instead - they were given a runt, whom they named Vas.

Vas was born weak and although not sickly, he looked frail. While Joddog and Droas were disappointed by his appearance, they loved him.

On his first natal day, Vas vanished from his playpen during a powerful thunderstorm. Joddog and Droas were worried and when the storm abated, sent warriors to find their missing son. Just as the warg and dog riders were about to disembark, a very large grey wolf with red eyes appeared. It was the spirit of the Varg, a legendary wolf which sired the great wargs which all goblins ride. Atop the Varg, was Vas who seemed natural in riding it. For some reason, the Varg claimed Vas as part of his pack.

When asked why he left his pen, Vas said that he heard a deep howl (which no one else had heard). He followed the howl, and through rain and wind found himself in then great wolf's den. There, he found a great wolf tending to his numerous children. He was licked dry by all the wolves in the den and he was fed deer meat. When the storm stopped, the great wolf bid his children goodbye. His children all left. He in turn took Vas upon his back, and they rode into the wind - going back to the village.

Vas spent the next two years learning to ride the great wolf who had chosen him. The two are inseparable. Eventually, Vas gave his wolf a name - Howler.

The story of Vas Varg'sden spread far and wide . While Vas hasn't actually done anything yet... the expectations of an entire tribe grew.

Vas left his village to find out what Fate has in store for him. And in his brief travels, he met the Pathfinder Mokka Knutt who recruited him.
