HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
My work schedule recently increased unexpectedly, and I just learned that after the holidays it will be increasing even more. I mentioned earlier that I was having trouble following the complexity of this game due to being so busy. Now I feel like I really don't have the time to do it justice. There are too many great RPers and NPCs in this game to be saddled with a silent/boring/uninvolved Urias. So, I'm going to respectfully withdraw. Feel free to use Urias as an NPC for as long as you want. Hopefully my work schedule will relax in the future and I'll end up in some more games with you guys. Thanks, DMRaven! Best of gaming to you all (and merry Christmas)!

"It's none of our business," Urias interjects. He's been nursing ciders all night, but drinks them slow enough that all he feels is a languid warmth in his belly. "Getting caught spying on him is definitely going to get us in trouble. What we're doing now doesn't break any rules I'm aware of."
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Urias would wear his armor, unless it's offensive or prohibited.
"Seems nice," Urias comments. He feels slightly out of place in his armor, but has always been a 'better safe than sorry' kind of guy. He orders a cider when the group sits down. "I can pay for my own drinks actually. I was able to find some work these past days."
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
"That's fine by me. I'm not much for fancy places anyway," Urias says to the younger man. "Lead the way Ardis."
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
"I hope so," Urias says in reply. "I'm looking for paying working to fill my free time with. I'm not from a wealthy family and I anticipate having issues paying for my books and equipment in the future if I don't get some work. Do you have anything that needs done?"
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Urias is tired of scrounging for silvers in the town. He goes around to each of his teachers, asking them if there is anything he can do to earn some extra money from them.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

"That's a yes," Urias replies, with a smile.

"Hello! I was uh..well, we've been living together for almost a week and..I still don't really know much about any of the cohort. I..know I'm kinda far down in the rankings now, but I'm hoping to catch up! Would you like to go out for drinks tomorrow evening with me and a few others? I'd like to get to know the cohort's top ten a bit better."
"Sure. Are you paying?" Urias replies.
Goes to look up Ardis in the NPC codex.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Looked there, but didn't click the attitudes link. Thanks!
I want to stay rank 7, so I won't challenge anyone.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
I did not know how to do the money, now I do.
I'll just take 10 and get 1.7 GP if that's okay. Is there a more profitable way to earn $?
Is there a ranking list somewhere?
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Urias lets the battle rage drain away from him, and then nods to Vorin. "Fair enough. You got me pretty good yourself!"
I'll continue to try to earn cash, unless there's a lesson on day 6 that involves a skill Urias isn't trained in. In which case he'll study for that lesson instead.

As far as I can tell that spoiler is empty?
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Day Four
Urias seeks work as a bouncer or guard, hoping to earn some cash. His intimidating frame and demeanor make him good for the job.
Do a day of labor using Intimidate. Trying to earn a little cash.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Day Five
HP:12/12 NL:4
AC:11
Forsaking his earlier plan to wrestle his opponent into submission, Urias settles for merely smashing the ginger youth in the face with one of his beefy grey fists.
Unarmed strike (Rage, Power Attack): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 6 - 1 = 14
Nonlethal Damage: 1d3 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9
The pain of the punch he took, and his rage cloud Urias's senses, and his blow is powerful but poorly aimed.

HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Daen - I didn't see. To be honest there're so many NPCs and so much dialogue flying around in this game that I have a hard time following any of it. It's even more difficult since the whole thing is taking place in "flexible time", for lack of a better word. What I mean by that is there's no: "Okay, it's this time, you're all here in this room. This is what you see, this is what's happening". I've mainly just been reading the DM's posts, assuming that we're not even in the same places at the same times (because that's what it feels like). It wasn't an intentional slight.
I've got too many games going on to put in the amount of time here it would take to remember and understand twenty odd NPCs interacting fluidly with six PC across ever shifting scenes. I'm just trying to make sure I'm doing what Urias needs to do to keep the game moving forward and not hold anything up. It's also why I've largely been avoiding talking to anyone. I have no idea what's happening, so I have nothing intelligent to say :P I'm hoping to survive the training period part of the game, and then get more involved when we get to more traditional adventuring where there's a single timeline, one scene at a time, and fewer relevant NPCs mucking about.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
AC:11
Urias faces off with the red haired boy, shirtless and with his fists bound in light wrappings. Once they are in position he nods to Vorin and waits for the signal to begin. As soon as he hears the noise, Urias darts forward swift as a hunting cat, and tries to grab the smaller man.

Grapple check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
No AOO on me since he's flat footed. Hopefully he's a dex based character, otherwise no chance that succeeded.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Urias will study for magic/alchemy class the next day. He's worried about being too dumb.
Urias socializes little with the younger scrubs. He spends most of his time with his nose buried in the copied volumes he'd purchased with his last coin.
Int check (study bonus): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Despite his hours of study, Urias performs only averagely again in the magical theory class. He can answer the most basic questions, but then gets lost quickly once the more difficult concepts are introduced. Who would have thought there'd be so much damned studying to be a knight!? I'll never be good at this stuff..
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Wisdom Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Urias performs only average in the religion class, despite his studies the previous day. I've got to do better than this if I'm not going to be a burden on our cohort. Urias tries to hide his shame by remaining silent unless called on.

"Thank you, sir," Urias replies, taking the books gratefully. He leaves and returns to the barracks. He begins to study for whatever training they have in store later that day.
My action for the day will be training for the next class.

"I only have one gold piece," Urias says honestly. "I will bring all my future business to you, and point others your way if you agree to that price. I do not really want to get you in trouble, but I am a bit desperate."

Scriptorium
"You will give me all the books I need for this term for the price of one gold, or I will report your forgery activities to the publishers of the works you are pirating and to the proper authorities. As a former bandit, I know the look on your face, and I won't be had," Urias informs the shop keeper, plunking down his one and only gold coin on the counter. Hope he goes for it....I'll be screwed otherwise.
"You know very well it's a fair price."
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
In class.
Urias raises his hand after the reading list is handed out. Once he's called on he says, "Sir, I don't have that kind of money. How might we earn some gold while being scrubs? I wouldn't want to be lax in my studies, but if I leave here to earn money I will miss my training."

Elyssa grabs Eckart's hand and tugs him away with Kassie. Jalen requires some coaxing, but follows as well as the cohort walks off. Behind them, Leo starts laughing and shakes his head, calling out before walking off himself.
"Deal, but I refuse to serve my cousin and I am not wearing an apron!” With a smirk to Allie, he adds, []b”I may just get Septima to do it. She's not very strong willed. “[/b] After a slight pause, with the group almost out of hearing.. ”You pick unusual friends, half-breed. I hope you have chosen well."

Day Two
==========================================
The second day of training starts much like the first. Scrubs are woken at the crack of dawn and dragged down to Fisk's torture arena. Several miles are run around the outside ring while obstacle courses, punching bags and various unarmed attack forms are drilled into them. "I will not have my cohort be the failure." Fisk grumbles as he jabs poorly performing members with a long stick.
Each day the characters have to attend combat training, but they only need to make a check for it once a week.
After two hours of training, the characters are rushed off to a gender-separated bath areas and encouraged to move quickly. Afterward, they are directed by a servant to the Crusader War College and their tactical class. The room is small with several two-person desks scattered in loose rows. A middle-aged man with a large belly and numerous scars limps his way to a podium at the front.
”Welcome...to your history lesson. I am Professor Comell...in this class you will introduce you to military history.” He lets out a great sigh. It...
Int check: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Urias sighs before his introduction. "I am Urias Lastwaller, and really the only things I know about Lastwall history are that my family have been here since near the beginning and that we stand against the orcs and the remnants of the Whispering Tyrant's influence..." The big aasimar shrugs. "History was never my strong suite."
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Still here, but busy IRL at the moment.
Urias stands by watching. No need for me to get involved in this...
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Urias will study for the combat training course to get the +2
If we can take 10, then 15. If not...
Climb: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 = 12
The trainer sets Urias to climbing a forty foot long rope over and over again for several hours on his first day of combat training. The first few times are relatively easy, but after that it gets tough. Even for the strong Aasimar it's brutal. By the end of the training Urias is shaking badly and feels like he's going to puke.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Do you want us to roll now?
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
"I like you, Kassie. You have fire in you. Sorry again I had to punch you out. I hope you do pay me back someday, I've never been put down by someone your size before," Urias says from his bed with a chuckle. "So how many of the rest of you are from Lastwall like me?"
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Urias will just hang out in his bunk resting until we're given further instructions.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
"I hope there won't be too much book learnin'. Not my thing either," Urias comments. He positions his things on the bunk for #7. "I'm sure we'll be told what to do. Officers love to give orders to their soldiers."

As Kassara swims back into consciousness she becomes aware of conversations around her, nd realises that she's lying, bloodied and bruised, in the dirt. Opening her eyes to find Allie crouched over her, she gives a weak grin. Well sis. I think I've successfully ruined the family name, and it only took me thirty seconds! Even mother said it'd take me a week or more." As she woozily looks around she realises that she's drawn quite a crowd. At Jalen's question she smiles prettily at the handsome recruit, reaching out. "Oh, I'll be fine Jalen. I was just trying to give the rest of you a false sense of security. I would appreciate a hand up though. Thanks. Now where is he?" she looks around until locating Urias and then pushes past the others towards him. "Well done Urias" she says with a grin, holding out her hand to be shaken "you've got a punch like a ton of bricks! Certainly put me in my place! Just wait until next time though, and we'll see what happens. As Cilys steps up to join them Kassara gives her a weak grin. "One of us'll get him eventually!" she then turns to the rest of the remaining group. "Well, As you've heard by now, I'm Kassara Tilernos, call me Kassie. This is my sister, Allie. Its sure nice to meet you all. Just don't let that sorry display of mine make you too confident. I'm not usually that bad in a fight!"
Urias offers his hand to Kassie for shaking. "I am Urias Lastwaller." He grins at the girl's spirit, and no longer feels bad about knocking her out. "I'm glad you're not upset. I would prefer to save my fists for the enemy, but I'll do whatever Fisk asks. Glad to meet you all."
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
"I meant nothing against her sex. Simply that I am much larger than her, and her only advantage would be speed. For which she needs a weapon. I have no problem fighting with women," Urias says, attempting to clarify. His memory takes him back to several pitched fights he had been in with Elmoyra before she died. "No problem at all." I just don't see the point in such an unequal sparring match.
Seeing that the girl he'd knocked out was being tended to, he watches the others heading off to the dorms. He waits a moment longer to see what the other recruits around Kassara do.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Yeah....pvp can be annoying. Sorry to have to beat on you!
Same attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 - 1 = 23 (0_o)!
Damage: 1d3 + 3 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 + 2 = 9
A second punch from the big aasimar drops Kassara into unconsciousness. Urias stops roaring, and immediately kneels at her side, seeming to deflate. Breathing hard, he leans over her. “I do not like this,” he says checking her pulse.
Take 10 on heal for 10.
Seeing that she will be fine he gently scoops her up and places her on a nearby table. “Sorry,” he mutters to Allie, looking fairly ashamed of himself. He turns to Fisk with a glint of anger in his eye. “Any more knightly tasks for me other than beating unarmed women…sir?”

Damage: 1d3 + 3 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 + 2 = 10
Urias dodges Kassara's punch. Well, this doesn't seem to be very fair. Oh well, too bad for her. I will do whatever I need to to become a knight, even if that means punching out a little girl. Urias roars, and his left fist shoots out like a meteor. It cracks Kassara across the jaw, and she staggers for a moment before recovering. Urias barely notices, losing himself in the battle-rage. His veins stick out from his skin as his heart pounds at a fever pitch, and he roars over and over like a madman.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
So we provoke AOOs from each other every time we attack as well, unless you happen to have improved unarmed strike.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Urias nods to Kassara and takes off the gauntlets that are part of his armor. He steps into the circle. When they square off, she reacts a hair quicker than him.
Waiting my turn.
HP:12/12; Rage 6/6
Urias steps forward. Urias is an intimidating figure. He is taller than most men by a hand or more, and has shoulders as broad an ox. He looks like a classically-handsome, hairless human carved from matte-grey metal with pools of mercury for eyes. He wears medium armor, and has a huge two handed warhammer on his back, along with a backpack of gear. He walks over to Daen. "Do you think I could have number seven? It's my lucky number." The aasimar's voice is deep and rumbling. Get your head out of the clouds, Urias. You're the last one to choose!
