I wanted to ask before getting something in mind, except I want a scroll or 5 of fly, SMIV, and maybe a couple other things.
SOOOoooo do we want wands of CLW or anything? Unk can craft the wand if someone else can supply the CLW or whatever they'd like xD
Also, anyone willing to help Unk craft a headband of intellect?

I'm not completely clear about the divvy yet. I presume Unk will start getting full shares starting now or next time, but there isn't an easy way to see what that would be on the sheet. I guess I should just assume 2855gp of stuff for crafting/buying? That'll pay for the materials for a headband and a couple scrolls :D

How'bout these 6 questions then, assuming we don't just move on:
1) is anyone capable of purifying the monolith
2) is physical destruction an effective method
3) is the monolith related to the Minkaian forces who are trying to kill Ameiko
4) will it cause us problems later if we fail to purify it
5) do we currently possess the means to purify it
6) could a earth or fire: 1d2 ⇒ 2 fire elemental burn it to purify it

"-Yes no questions... so what should we ask first... I guess first of all: Can anyone purify the monolith? Would smashing it to rubble purify it? Uh... any other ideas for what we might try? I could conjure a fire elemental or something to soften the earth beneath it..." Unk begins rambling.

Before they head out in the morning, Unk goes to see Koya to ask her if she can divine anything about the monolith, and especially if they can do anything to it before they move on.

Dunno if you want to have a whole back-and-forth or just summarize, but I'm leaning towards the latter.

"Well, there are daggers. We could pull those out. We could also warm up the bodies, maybe burning them and burying the ashes properly somewhere the earth is more permissive might help." Unk muses.

Now that the bodies are unearthed, Unk tries to think of any rituals that might require a magical dagger to be left in the grave as he reaches down to pull one of the daggers out to see if that helps.

Looking at these rolls, the order doesn't matter, but Phantom Steed comes before Unk in the dictionary, so I'll do that order:
Reflex vs cold: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Reflex vs cold: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 17 by itself is enough to disappear the horse...
Reflex vs cold: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Unk finds himself pelted by cold and suddenly without a horse!

"Hoarfrost spirits! I foresee that we'll vanquish these foul undead!" Unk announces as he guides his phantom steed with his knees. It takes him around the edge of the clearing.

He conjures a Flaming Sphere which starts burning at the closest 'spirit'.

Green has a Flaming Sphere on top of him, assuming no shenanigans that stop Unk.

Seeing the beast crash into the steppes, Unk lets out a sigh of relief.

"Just as I had foreseen." He explains before looking around to see who needs help being dug up.

Snowball lands in front of him and jerks her head up towards the two remaining glowing balls of righteousness and light.

"Oh, right. Help dig up our caravan." he orders before starting to dig snow with his hands.

Curiously, he actually finds the best spot that needs the most digging...

Feeling Snowball's panic, Unk wastes no time.
"I foresee hostile forces approaching!" He announces.

He immediately conjures a Flaming Sphere (DC 17) on top of the nearest ridge, hoping to frighten away whatever it is.

Not going to burn it immediately, though I could evoke the sphere on its square if the map is accurate xD

--- On the way through the hills earlier ---

As the caravan passes through the hills, Unk uses his extra time at night to catch up on some scrolls he brought to study.

namely: the scrolls of SM1, SM2, and Fly that Unk has from character creation. Yay blessed book xD

After the third night, Unk runs out of things he brought and asks others in camp if they have any magical tomes or scrolls. Most people get asked at least twice.

--- Afternoon of Sarenith 22 ---

Unk has been remembering to conjure a Phantom Steed to ride for most of his shift on guard duty, though it only lasts until 6 hours after they start each day.

I'm not sure about lunch breaks, but I'm guessing until shortly after lunch he'd have a horsie?

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7
As usual, Unk is... oblivious until premonition strikes.

Also: Unk is mysteriously not waterlogged :D
Regarding the loot: Unk has 3 spare sacks and a Handy Haversack. Is it safe to say that we don't care to go into the details of precisely how we get the loot back?
BTW- does the waterlogging mean damage similar to Warp Wood? I feel like it might.
I ask because apparently Mending works on damage, but not things that were "warped or otherwise transmuted", though I wouldn't be able to target an 8lb heavy crossbow until next level anyway...

"So uh- definitely no captives, then..." Unk explains sadly, as Snowball does a lap in the air to dry off after the last load is pulled out of the water.

Unk leaves the twine that they used to pull up the Breastplate in the snow and turns to go, carrying a small share of the loot.

"I foresee more ice in your future Ameiko, but I can conjure a ball of fire if you'll move somewhere dry. Or would my wand of healing help more?" Unk says to Ameiko. Clearly it isn't sinking in that she can heal herself just fine.

"I foresee much trouble if we continue searching for the things that did this. I do not foresee us finding survivors." he announces grimly.

I feel like we'd be lucky to find even one person, though I can imagine whatever did this might try to keep something fresh for later...
Also, if we don't search we definitely can't find survivors xD
So that's my vote to give up on the poor villagers.
