I am going to be playing in a apocolypse game coming up in a few weeks . We are starting at 16th level with 8 mythic tiers . I am looking to find a way to be a for lack of a better term to be mostly like animal type companion. I am seeking a shapeshifting type char that allows me to stay in shifted form mostly. I think i should prefernce this somewhat to say my fiancee is also playing and is playing a nymph like char from the grundir forest near the land of the linnorn kings . My thought was to be sometype of shifter that helps her gaurd the forest. My thought was to be a dire tigeresque form most the time . I am torn between using the ring of continuation that basically makes any spell transformation type last 24 hours so it would be rare we would be in human form . i guess think of it as ladyhawke the movie . We are both more into the whole rp scene rather than making our chars maxxed out though we do both enjoy as well at least making a difference in fights . My thoughts are to be either a druid obvious choice of coarse .. A shaman with spells that i can use like dragon form 3 etc .. or my latest thought was a nimble guardian monk because they get to change into a feline at 7 th level at will and the Dm has said it is considered as wildhshape for purposes of the game . The monk will also allow for flurry of claws :)
So if anyone can give me advice or somewhat an idea of this i would be greatful .

thanks for all of the opinions. I will look at the unbreakable fighter archtype see how or if that can play into my character . i was thinking a level or 2 of paladin using the oath of vengence archtype so i can get a couple more smites even though i know the dmg isnt great , the bonus to saves, my chr being fairly high , and acess to detect evil and smite may make it worthwhile i thought.
The Gm said if i wanted to go DD I could use the eldrtich heritage fat at lvl 3 and perhaps take draconic as the bloodline . not so sure how all that works if im an abyssal bloodrager but will look into that as well .
I think dipping for any class from bloodrager may be bad idea although as i stated I do think paladin fits though LG doesnt suit my character history . lol .. thanks for the good feedback.
Anuy feats I should look into for this build ? i was thinking tribal scars for added htpts and such. power attack of coarse cleave . not sure what other would work well so welcome advice

so you think it'll be best to simply stay bloodrager abyssal and not dip into dd .. i never thought to look at it from that perspective. thanks. do you feel dipping into any class will be useful , perhaps 2 levels paladin or fighter 4 levels , that way you do not lose the bab. a smiting bloodrager could be fun I reckon and since they do not have preclusions on alignments

I am going to be playing in a jade regent game with my fiance and am looking for info regarding the best way to combine this class. My race will be ulfin as she is going to be playing a shaman and we are basing out character history on such. My questions are regarding using eldritch heritage abyssal and other things concerning this build . I am liking the nuance of it and flavor just need advice from those more in the know. My initial plan it to level 5 levels bloodrager then go into dragon disciple at 6th level . Do i stay in dragon disicple or after 6 levels go back to blood rager . Do i need to dip a level of sorcerer to make it legal since my bloodrager bloodine is actually going to be abyssal . We are going to be using a 20 point buy system so if anyone has free time and likes creating characters using this concept it is greatly appreciated .

Well I actually simply had a concept to be a paladin oath of vengence to get nmore smites per day and the added saves from a higher chr. I have a background story of a savage from the north basically that has been tamed somewhat by a beautiful elven princess and has become a paladin though some of his savage ways still remain . This character is for the jade regent game . I am not too worried about being the biggest or baddest damage wise as i prefer and am more of a roleplayer by nature but i do not want him to be a hinderence either fighting wise. I am better suited at making range archers than melee for pathfinder and am seeking advice of feats melee need to be good and do a decent amount of damage . I do plan to rage and smite frequently. My other thought is to go with the playtest class bloodrager though again I'm not up on melee close combat feats so either way I will need advice . thanks again

could you not go fighter viking class to lvl 4 as they get rage at lvl 4 as well and you can gain extra feats from the fighter class to gain extra rage feat . Then take levels in paladin as you wish .

My background story is of a Ulfen decent but as the Aasimar race. I plan to to scion of humanity as a racial feat from Aasimar as well as being an angelkin to have my stats +2 str,+2 chr .
I am going to take the archtype viking from fighter and combine it with the paladin class. My though is of a viking warrior who can rage (vikings get rage at level 4 ) as well as Smite evil beforehand. I will also be able to cure my own fatigue using lay on hands and a paladins mercy . Vikings also get bonuses to their shild bonus as they level as well as a nifty intimidate power that begins as a move action but becomes a swift action at level 10 .
I havent really looked much past this area and am needing some guidance and help on feats to take or that would help in building this character . I know intimidating prowess would be awesome addition but I am usually more range so the melee feats aren't my cup of tea . I will wlecome advice on feats , traits , and an all around level progression of how many levels paladin and viking to have .
Thanks in advance for the advice . look forward to hearign from those with more experience
The thought of an axe wielding raging smiting intimidating paladin is just to hard to pass up :)

any advice out there for this type of build ?
