Background:

Up until just over a year ago Tyrion was happily married. He lived near town just at the edges of the surrounding woods. He and his wife, Mara, had son at and early age but lost him due to illness. There had been a fever that had run through the town. It was a common illness that plagued the town from time to time and the local healers were well versed in creating the necessary elixer to fight off the fever. Unfortunately there had been a drought the year before and most of the herbal ingredients were in short supply when the outbreak occured. By the time Tyrions needed the elixer there was none left. The illness itself was not always fatal but his son was young and strong enough to fight it off. He and his wife never had another child. Tyrion didn't blame the the towns people. Who but the Gods could have foreseen the outbreak of sickness happening at such an inopportune time? Far from doing nothing Tyrion took it upon himself to see to it nothing like this would ever happen again. He kept himself busy learning from the local healers as well as the druids, rangers and forest wardens of the Bronzewood Lodge. He would help them clear debris from forest paths and collect herbs for the town. Eventually his wife died too but his time from natural causes. A druid by the name of Werth, who had taken a particular shine to Tyrion over the years, invited him to become a full member of the lodge. Not seeing any reason not to Tyrion accepted the offer.
