Am back in civilization but likely won't be able to post until after work tomorrow, so some point within the next 24 hours!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Back in civilization! But I won't be able to catch up until after work tomorrow.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I'll be going quiet for a few days over Easter while I go camping. With luck I can post by mobile, but I'm hesitant to make any promises. With the school holidays fast approaching down under, however, it should be smooth sailing after that. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Just a heads up that I'll be camping over the easter long weekend and reception is incredibly temperamental. I have plenty of downtime to post, but may not have the means to do so from the 25th-28th. I should be able to squeeze in plenty of posts before that.

Holy hell, this is my favourite so far.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Oh, thanks for the heads up!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Thats right! My plan is to use the rebuild rules to hobble together a paladin before I gain this last chronicle. :)

I loved the rack on her back! I can see why it had to go, but it was just so wonderfully excessive.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Was I the only one who didn't know what was behind that door? Looks like we needn't have worried regardless.

Thanks for a great run! I'll get my character updated posthaste. I'm umming and uhing whether I should continue, as with my new job regular posting has become a challenge. However, things are getting much more settled at work and I am cautiously optimistic and quite keen to see this series through. Thanks for everybodies patience thus far. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Have a spectacular trip, boss!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Thank you, Doc, for so many years of commitment to this game. It's been a wonderful ride. This game has been my longest on the boards by far, and I really went out of my comfort zone in playing a character as reserved as Seldon is. I think it payed off immensely and thank everyone for making this game what it is. I feel I've really grown as a player.

My own posting may be spotty throughout the year, but I've dropped down to very few games and would love to press on. (I've been dying to sink my teeth into Hook Mountain Massacre and beyond as I've GM'd the earlier adventures)

I'd hoped if the dreaded "real life" did strike that I'd be in a place where I might be able to fill the GM shoes, but since starting up at the school I don't think that's the case. I'm open to continuing all the same.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Hrm, a little hiccup in the boards, I haven't been getting updates in the gameplay thread. I apologise!

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I'm finding it hard to pay the Red Raven reveal any mind in the mad frothing excitement that the Hell's Vengeance player's guide's sneak peak of the Duergar iconic has instilled in me. I love how squirrely and shrunken and otherworldly he looks and can't wait to see more.

The talon motif has really sold this particular design to me. The devil's in the details! Thanks for sharing so much of your design process with us, Mr. Reynolds. As somebody whose very earliest character concepts had their beginning in a sketchbook, it's awe-inspiring to see just how many niggly little details you can squeeze in.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

That's great news! Glad things are turning around. My own work situation has definitely been crazier than anticipated (I've dropped most of my PbP's on the boards to keep up), I can definitely appreciate how busy you're going to be in those first few weeks. Keep us posted though! Hopefully you can still check in. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I'm sorry folks. This has been a week or two coming but it's probably time I withdraw from this game. This job came as a surprise and six posts is all I've been able to manage so far. That's not the kind of standard I'd like to hold myself to as a PbP gamer, and it wouldn't sit right with me taking credit for a scenario I've hardly been able to participate in. Each time I get on top of my other games I've slipped further behind here, and I fear I won't be able to keep up with the pace of PFS play until six weeks from now in the school holidays.

I really hope we do get a chance to play with each other then, however. I've really enjoyed this game, even as a spectator. All the best for the rest of this scenario!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Also I had way too much fun being a goblin. This was a very funny game all around. I've never seen it be such a success at the table. I think these kind of antics are uniquely suited to tabletop.

Thanks everyone for a game that kept me chuckling from start to finish. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Sorry for the delay! My details are as follows:

PFS#: # 84608-4
Player: Twigs
Character: Serana, She-Wolf of Broken Bay (L1)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I apologise for the delay, I've just gone from a 4 day workweek to a 38 hour one. I work casually as an aide, and with two days notice before the school term started offered me the position full time. I also work Saturdays, so basically I've been grossly overcommited on the PbP front. I've dropped out of a few games and am trying to play my PFS games to their conclusion but it might be a week or two before I really settle back into daily posting. Feel free to bot me, but I'm going to do my best to stay on top of things.

But hey, fundage!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I apologise, everyone! To expand on the above, I work in learning support and with two days notice I was offered a full time position as an aide for a new support class the school has opted to start up. As a sixth year undergrad, I leapt at the opportunity for some regular income. We had an empty classroom, no resources, and students at several different levels of schooling and ability to integrate, so we've been really slammed. The short notice left me rather overcommited on the PbP front, as my workweek went from 5 hours at my other job with sporadic casual shifts to a proper 38hr workweek, with a massive adjustment to my sleep schedule to boot. It really took the wind out of my PbP sails for a while there, but things are finally settled.

I'd hoped to post last weekend, but didn't find a window. Most afternoons I've simply been exhausted and uninspired. I'm ready to get back to my regular posting rate and squeeze as much out of the rest of this scenario as I can. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Apologies all! Two weeks ago I took a full time position at my casual job (teachers aide work), and going from a 4 hour workweek with the odd casual shift to a 37 hour week and a massive change to my sleep schedule has really taken the wind out of my PbP-sails and left me rather overcommited on the games front. I got offered the job two days before the school term so hadn't had a wealth of time to prepare, and with few resources avaliable to us (including a completely bare classroom) we've had our work cut out for us getting things set up.

In short I've fallen frustratingly far behind in my PbP games. Feel free to bot me, but I'm really commited seeing this scenario through (even if my posting has been so spotty for it's beginning). I've set aside some time tonight to catch up (about 8am at present). I'd hoped to find the time this weekend, but
exhaustion won out.

tl;dr there's been an exciting and exhausting change in my situation but I should be caught up within the day. I hope.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Hope for a speedy recovery.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

That's a great idea! For continuities sake, I'll do that. Thank you. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

What are the rules RE: purchases with pregens? I'm fairly sure I have to run her as written, i.e. I can't apply a chronicle to her, but I haven't been playing PFS for too long, and shorter still with pregens.

I would like to continue though! I am settling in at my new job so should be able to prepare something tommorow evening (~24 hrs from now). If I can't check in I'll continue as Lini, treasure or no, as I wouldn't want to hold things up.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Holy hell, that encounter certainly turned around fast. Really nice work, Darathys!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Thanks for the heads up! :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

As a side note, Ayo is spectacularly entertaining and I will continue to favorite all of her posts.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I work in learning support, and I got surprised with a job offer early last week, a full time position from what had been monthly casual shifts. We have to build a support unit from the ground up with limited resources, so things have been pretty wild. Couple that with the fact that Serana's stats arestill in limbo and I haven't got quite a grasp on her character yet, and the postmonster eating a demoralizing amount of drafts (posting from mobile can be horribly unforgiving).

I apologise for the roleplay I've missed so far! I'll keep up with the combat and hope to redeem myself later in the module. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Oh, drat! I'd intended to create a core character in that spot after commencing the game, but the concept ended up becoming a standard one instead. I'll set something up under 84608-8.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Tempting to attempt sleight of hand here to claim a prize between us (as the player with Sleight of Hand ranks and all...) but I'm usually hesitant to steal from fellow PCs and allies.

We've been the most-endangered crew members for most of the voyage so far, but additional compensation might not be worth walking the plank. Perhaps I'm just not chaotic neutral enough. Any thoughts, guys?

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I've just started work at a new school, but I don't expect too much slowdown. I'll keep you guys posted if things get too crazy. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Argh! Three days of no internet, just as I start a new job. I'm all caught up now, I apologise for the delay. I can usually post by mobile, but as I'm learning new rules for a lot of Shardra's posts I like to be able to sit down and nut them out a little longer.

All caught up!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I've found only my pathfinder society games having any momentum, so I've signed up for far too many games to compensate. Had a few days of internet trouble on my end but all set to go now. I've just started work at a new school which is looking like it'll be complete chaos, but nothing that should keep me away for any great length of time.

If that's a nudge in our direction, I'm happy to pick up the pace as best I'm able!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Apologies all! My net has cut off for three last two days, am looking to get reconnected.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I'm not really certain, as it isn't explicitly covered by the Handle Animal rules in that it isn't a trick per-se, but part of the pre-packaged sets of tricks. With the attack anything trick, an argument could be made that Droogami is "combat trained", but I dont know of any rulings on that front. I'd be curious to know as well. I've only played with animal companions being automatons in the hands of a player character. There's a surprising amount of depth to the rules that I had never learned about until PFS, which is delightful.

As for ride checks, I had intended the DC 5 to be the "Guide with knees" function. I probably could have been clearer on that. The above ruling seems good to me, and Lini's actions aren't too important to her at this level. Droogami is pulling most, if not all of the weight.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Still on the drawing board for concepts but with only one active PC I'd like to create some new characters I can get excited about, but nothing has quite stuck yet. If nothing does, I'll check in on Monday with Harsk. My indecisive streak has kicked in hard, and an afternoons workshopping and three notepad files later I'm still not 100% decided.

Apologies if I'm holding things up!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I'm in! I've been making a game of playing all of the pregens, but it's probably high time I started levelling a new character. We'll see what time/inspiration permits.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I'd be interested to know as well! :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I'm always blown away by just how short these scenarios can be. Thanks for running! I wish it weren't over so soon!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Open spoiler tags! Too late to edit that post, but the open BBcode ate my dice roll. Mystery solved I guess.

My homegroup has a proud tradition of using lego, cardboard miniatures, and/or m&ms for a low budget game, but one of our number has recently splurged on two kickstarters (several boxes worth of) reaper miniatures so times are a-changing. The Dwarf Forge stuff looks incredible.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Thanks! :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Apologies for the quiet spell, the day marking my incremental decline... er, twenty-third birthday rolled around, and my hosting duties and the ensuing food coma kept me from checking in. All caught up!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

How does a paladin get their hands on a familiar? Misaki's build looks really interesting. I'll post purchases and spells prepared in the gameplay thread and have my profile short-handed and combat ready when next I'm at my keys. (Might be a day or two but I can post from mobile.)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Hahahaha, that looks phenomenal! Enjoy.

Is there interest in Serpent's Rise?? I could be coaxed into running it again. It's the scenario where you play Aspis Agent pre-gens.

It's no trouble! I'm not the most prolific PFS gamer, there's a good seven seasons of content I haven't played and a one off suits me best.

I may need an extra day or two to prep once we're ready to start. I mostly do pencil and paper, and I mean that literally. Being relatively new to PbP, I don't have all my PC stats in the computer. So once I talk to the group about what PC to bring, I'll first need time to type it into the machine.

Based on the latest update to the sheet I'd say the 4-5 subtier is the go? Looks to me we've got a 4th level rogue and a 4th level pregen shaman (myself) if that helps you out at all. :)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I'll gladly jump into the Part 4 table if it means getting it off the ground. It's been well over a year since we've played together now, Panic. However I haven't played any of the preceding scenarios and would have to play a pregen unless we played at first level. While I might spoil the scenarios for myself, I've mostly played Season 0 content and there's more content than I'll ever get to sink my teeth into so I'm not overly concerned.

I've joined the signup sheet.

Ah! I'm more disappointed than I expected I would be. I'll have to get my fix some other way. I'd love any feedback you could PM me.

Good luck to all in the next round of recruitment.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Small wonder why this Hjort didn't like Pathfinders very much. ;)
