For my first (non-society) 2E game, I have decided that I would like to make an Anadi Liberator character to play as an allegory (and a little fantasy wish-fulfillment) on an aspect of my early-life experiences: surviving residential-school genocide (and hopefully thriving afterward).
My idea: An Anadi - who is just starting to be more aware of and knowledgeable about her ancestry and heritage (including spider form) - decides to take up the Cause as a Liberator.

If anyone would like to suggest Heritage, Archetypes, Feats (and trees), I am open to ideas, since I am trying to absorb a lot of information within the next 2 weeks.

For Heritage, I am currently considering between Snaring and Spindly, and the Hybrid Form racial feat is looking pretty tasty, even if only thematically. Ward as a Background is virtually a must.

I've been following along a non-Society group playing as space pirates and serving occasionally as the "player" of the AI of their ship when I could make it to sessions. I'll be able to join the group properly soon, and I'll be continuing my role as that AI - in a fresh Android body. (think Rommie and Doyle from Andromeda, or Android/Suki from Dark Matter)
I know redundancies are inevitable, but I want to choose a class and role that will help round out the existing group that makes sense for a "ship" to take on. The group currently consists of a Human Envoy (captain), a Vesk Soldier (the frontline), a Lashunta Mechanic with a scattershot and a Combat Drone, a Lashunta Technomancer, and a Ysoki Operative (Ghost type.)

Any suggestions on what to pick for my Class?

I'm going to use this thread as a means to share and improve upon Homebrew races I've made for Starfinder

To begin, I have 3. The Uvrom are an aquatic hivemind race loosely based off of the Belize rainbow squid and hermit octopus. The Dur'yeng are a hulking race of humanoids based loosely off of pangolins and theropods. And the Thuholni are a goblin- or gremlin-like race of tinkerers based loosely off of monkeys and morphology of chameleons.

I noticed that the Hover Drone does not get the Hydrojets mod.

Does that mean the Hover Drone is useless in an aquatic setting?
Or is there a method of converting the Fly or Land speed to a Swim speed?

I really hope it's the latter because my campaign is about to take players to an underwater setting, and if the Hover Drone is useless when underwater, our Mechanic won't be able to bring his A game until he levels up again.

Also, why can the Hover Drone take advantage of the Excavator mod but not the Hydrojets mod? That's pretty nonsensical to me from both a fluff and a balance perspective.
