"Wait for me!" Tristan jumps the chasm as well.

Tristan peers down into the chasm. He drops a lighted stone down there to try and get a sense of the depth. "Perhaps I should go first." he suggests "If I don't make it across at least this damned ring will keep me from falling to my death."
Tristan will check the box on top of the wardrobe for traps before searching it. He also suggests that they search the rest of the room and take the thunderstones from the skeletons hands.
Once we all fall into place, Kells leads the group back to the tube and rises back up into the main room. Once there he pauses to look at the sarcophagas. "So do you think that we can turn this and make a different lift tube work in one of the other corridors?" "Well we won't know until we give it a try." says Loriel. "Let's try turning it to the right first, then left if that does not work." He gets in place with Kells and some of the others and they attempt to rotate the sarcophagus in place.
He hurls the other flask of holy water at the nearest skeleton.
Tristan clears the muck away from the doorframe and proceeds to carefully search the door for traps (). Then he will attempt to disarm, unlock, open the door as needed. "Everyone ready?" He asks before opening the door.
Tristan nods at Gashelle's suggestion. "Maybe we will get lucky and find a scroll to remove the curse." he sounds unconvinced. Tristan leads the way south back to the previous room and then into new territory. He begins searching for traps when they cover new ground.
"Mushrooms from hell?" asks Tristan skeptically. "Well you were right about one thing Gashelle." he continues, "This ring is definitly cursed. It feels like I am trying to move through a room full of pudding." Tristan tries to take the ring off. "We Should search this place. Try cutting open the fungus and also searching through the rubble over there." He indicates the fallen rocks in the corner.
Tristan will lead the way down the north hallway to the next room(T2).
Tristan takes the arrows and puts them in his quiver. "I can put these to good use, I think." he says. "Shall we continue on?" Tristan peers down both hallways. Unless he spots something in one of the halls, he will lead the way down the lefthand (eastern) hallway, checking for traps as he goes.
"Oh, this looks interesting!" Tristan casts detect magic and consults with Gashelle and Eltariel on the possible use of the items.
"Leave the chain shirt by the door and we can pick it up on our way back out." suggests Tristan. Then he goes over to have a look at the box Eltariel has found.
"Well that was exciting!" pants Tristan puting his rapier away. Digging in his pack, Tristan pulls out the flasks of holy water. "I have both flasks of holy water here Gashelle. Perhaps someone else would like to carry one of them?" He places one in his belt pouch and offers the other one up.
Tristan tumbles away from the foe attacking him. Then he moves to the large creature and flanks with Avinar if possible and attacks.
Gashelle looks down the hallway to the tunnel entrance, and the darkening sky. "Etariel, c- can you heal us any f- further before retiring?"
Tristan over at Gashelle somewhat embarassed. "I'm sorry Gashelle, I didnt realize that you were still hurt. I can manage another spell tonight." Tristan casts cure light wounds on the half-elf warrior.
After examining the scarab with the others, Tristan asks "So what does a scarab of golembane do, exactly?"
Tristan looks back to where the others are waiting at the bottom of the shaft. The elf maiden seemed to to keep looking their way. "I don't know, you seem to be doing pretty well on your own." "Although, I will say that you have to do something sincere to show her how you feel and not be afraid to look like a fool in the process. Sometimes fear of rejection is worse than the actual rejection. Mind you, this advice comes from a man who has been run out of town by 12 year-olds throwing rotten turnips when I was experimenting with my 'puppet-show phase'."
"Well maybe we should search the crayfish cistern as well since we are already wet." "Also do you think you could manage to catch some of the little buggers for dinner?" he asks Eltariel.
"The creatures seemed to acutally be made out of the water!" Tristan says, "If I were to guess, I would say some type of minor being from the elemental plane of water, perhaps?" Tristan completes his search and finds the golden scarab. He casts detect magic to confirm that it is the source of magic that Gashelle noticed. "I found something, but examining it can wait until we get out of this hole." he says. After being healed by Sasha, Tristan trudges back to the others. "My thanks, Sasha!" he says "Whatever those things were, they pack quite a wallop!"
"Is everyone alright?" Tristan asks in dim light of the flooded passageway. He will resume his search for the cause of the glinting light.
Tristan will go ahead and cast his cure light wounds for the measly 3hp then.
Tristan takes a step back from the creature and casts cure light wounds on himself.
Tristan takes step to flank with Avinar if possible and attacks the creature with his rapier.
Since the water is shallow enough to leave his arms free, Tristan exchanges his dagger for his rapier. Then he makes his way down the flooded passage, checking each footstep for a hidden drop off that would plunge him into deeper water. When he reaches the area where he saw the glint, he stops to search the area throughly.
When he reaches the bottom, Tristan waits for the others to descend the slippery stairs. Tristan points down the left hand passageway "I saw a glint of metal down that way. Be careful, it could be another clockwork construct." Tristan then draws his dagger and lowers himself into the water. If it is shallow enough to walk he will proceed slowly down the passage towards where he saw something.
Now, that Avinar has joined him in the tunnel, Tristan turns and makes his way down to the waterline, checking for traps as he goes. . He also picks up a small stone or bit of debris and casts light upon it. Assuming they make it to the water without setting off any traps, Tristan tosses the light stone into the water to try and determine how deep it is.
On the way back to the cart room, Tristan gives the Burning Hands wand to Eltariel. "Just be careful where you point it, won't you?" he asks. Taking off his heavy pack, he finds a dry spot to set it down. Then walking back over to the previously hidden passage he climbs up on the cart and into the passage way. "Who else is up for a swim?"
The strange piercing cry draws Tristan's thoughts away from dinner. He closes his eyes and listens intently to the sound, trying to determine its source.
After examining the wand, Tristan says "This seems to be a wand of Burning Hands, as far as I can tell." Tristan goes back over to the cistern and eyes the swimming crawfish. "Do you think we can catch some of these Eltariel?" he asks. "If I recall correctly they are very tasty when boiled in beer!"
Tristan looks over the wand embedded in the clockwork arm of the smashed statue. "I may be able to get it out of there, if I just turn this like so, and pull this cog over to the left ..."
Tristan reaches for his lute instead of his weapons this time. Singing an epic ballad, he inspires courage in his comrades.
Tristan looks around at his new companions. "Shall we call it a day or venture a little further?" He asks, "Keep in mind that we still need to find a secure place to sleep for the night."
Tristan casts detect magic and examines both the clasp and the metal box. he then searches the box for traps and then attempts to either unlock the box or disarm any traps as needed.
"Perhaps, or some experiment gone bad. This looks like the remains of some kind of alchemical laboratory." Tristan muses.
Tristan moves over to the overturned wardrobe and performs a quick search of the contents for anything useful.
Considering the two passageways before him, Tristan decides to take a look down the passage on the right hand side. "Let's have a look down this way, shall we?" he says over his shoulder.
"Hmmm, I guess sometimes a statue is just a statue." says Tristan. "Well lets have a look down this next tunnel." Tristan proceeds cautiously down the tunnel past the statue, searching for traps as he goes.
"Tristan? The hole up th- there." She gestures with the glaive, thrusting the blade a couple inches into the moss. "Is it s- safe?" The half-elf warrior's question draws Tristan's attention over to the opening. "Help me move one of the carts over there." He says. Then a few moments later, standing on an upturned mine cart, Tristan searches the tunnel opening for traps.
Gashelle clasps her elven comrade-in-arms on the shoulder. She almost manages a straight face as she says "Tristan, m- make sure you r- record Avinar's heroic fl- flanking." "Duly noted m'lady." Tristan confirms with a completely straight face. Tristan looks over the items found in the wrecked mine cart. Picking up one of the metal flasks, Tristan asks the others "This appears to be holy water, do you think the miners were concerned about meeting the undead?"
Tristan swings at the cart as he dodges out of the way.
Tristan moves back to engage the cart and attacks again.
Tristan, turns back to face the way they came. The animated mine cart was now behind him. He quickly moves next to the enchanted menace () and strikes with his rapier.
Tristan jumps up on the loading dock () and draws his rapier (). Can he get a better look at the gnome statue from here?
"Alright then, here we go." says Tristan. He moves carefully but quickly across the slippery algae to the loading dock. From there he tries to get a better look at the statue.
Or perhaps Tristan knows some lore regarding such slime.
Tristan nods, willing to continue on for at least a while longer. He continues down the corrido , alert for the next trap.
Avinar pats Tristain on the back "For someone just comming along for a story, you have saved our hides many times now, I thank you". Tristan grins at the elf's compliment "Why thank you Avinard!" "You may have noticed" Tristan chimes in as he renews his light spell, "That I also know a bit of arcane magic. Nothing so fancy as formal wizard training mind you," he rolls his eyes as he teases Eltariel, "but I have picked up a few tricks here and there. Also, I do have a pretty good knack for using magical trinkets."
Tristan once again casts detect magic and examines the silver ring attempting to discern it's magical properites. "Hmm I am not sure what affect the enchantment on this ring might have."
