Triglav grew up poor, the son of fishermen in the decadent city of Caliphas, capital of Ustalav. In his late twenties, he fell in love with an aristocrats daughter. Disapproving of the relationship, her father framed Triglav for theft. Her father bought the judge and of course Triglav was convicted. The judge gave Triglav a choice. 5 years in prison or an equal amount of time serving in the army. There was an orc invasion from the Hold of Belkzen and Ustalav needed more men on the front lines. Triglav naturally chose the latter.
Triglav's mother had taught him how to harness the power of the red dragon that ran through his veins, and, as a sorcerer herself, she instructed him the ancient tradition of Varisian spell casting and power of the magic tattoos. These skills served Triglav well on the front lines and his ability to fire blast orcs to ash was valued by his comrades.
After the war, Triglav set his sights on one thing. Power. Attracted by their gaudiness, cunning, and use of subterfuge, Triglav traveled to Cassomir to join the Taldor faction of the Pathfinder Society. He sees this faction and organization as a stepping stone to greatness. The opportunity to gain the networks, knowledge, coin, skills, prestige, and fame required in his pursuit of nobility and lordship.
