Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

It's over two weeks since we've heard from the GM. I'm going to keep checking the board, but I'm not going to post til he comes back.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh laughs merrily.

"How, Viorela, is a man, or anyone for that matter, supposed to know what a woman wants? Especially if they've just met and she isn't forthcoming with her interests?"

Suddenly aware that his tone is more confrontational than he'd meant, Tosh adds:

"Not that you should be forthcoming, I merely wonder at the female mindset."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Where is everyone?

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh will wait around for a while before going to be.

I hope this plan of ours works. I haven't been hunting in a long time.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh regards Borhald with equal measures of shock and amazement.

So we're hijacking the hunting trip and we're not even trying to be subtle? Ok. here we go.

"You are a very direct man Borhlad. However, I trust you and everyone else at this table, so I am with you."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Ouch Viorela ;)

Tosh listens intently to Virolea and the rest.

"I believe we have finally shaped our theories into a plan. However, how do we scout and/or lure goblins while keeping the noble safe and unaware?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"The more we dig into this, the more I wish my mother were here to see the future for us...I just don't know where to go from here."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"Though a fiction, there is enough fact here that I think we must try to locate this "Viskanta". I do not hold out much hope to find him, but maybe some of the old timers remember him? What do you all think?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Once safley in the dragon, Tosh ushers everyone into the most private corner booth he can find.

"It is imperative that we all look at master Tactfoot's new book."

He looks expectantly at Andwell.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"Ah ha ha! Well done Borhald! Well done, indeed!"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh give another little bow to Drokkus as he leaves.

Once they are alone, Tosh says, "Well friends, should we retire to the Dragon to discuss what we've found?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

I've been wondering that too...I hope not, his character is great.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh lives it up at the curtain call. He bows, smiles, and blows kisses.

Backstage, he thanks Drokkus for the opportunity. His smile fails when the halfling and big men stroll up.

This can't be good.

Tosh rushes up to the halfling like an adoring fan.

"Yenrry! Wow, I have been following your career forever! You're why I got into show business!"

Vors, at the man's accusation, goes red in the face, steps close to Drokkus, and jabs a finger into the man's chest.

"I did not ask for this! You wanted me to be your stage hand, and I helped, thinking you didn't have anyone else to do it for you. I'm a farmer! You want someone good with ropes, then enlist a sailor next time! If you wanted a show to go off without a hitch, you should have hired professionals, instead of trying to increase your fame by rubbing elbows with the heroes of the hour! I did the best I could. If that's not good enough for you, then you and your theater can go to the Hells."

Vors stands defiant, eye to eye with the man, waiting for his response.

Yay! Righteous Pally anger. So much fun.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"Alas Drokkus, I think not. I have a wandering heart you see and I think the people of Sandpoint deserve a more stable celebrity. Perhaps I can fill in another time."

Tosh bows deeply and stands beaming.

That felt good. I really needed that after my pitiful performance against those goblins.

Perform Oratory 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Perform Sing 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Not too shabby! I am ready for the show.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh will walk around the theatre district with Tactfoot for an hour promoting the show.

Tosh eagerly attends rehearsal and recites his lines with feeling and passion. When the song comes, Tosh struggles through and makes his apologies, saying he'll be better this evening with more warm-ups.

When the right time comes, Tosh'll see what more info he can get about the controversial play and its playwright.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Diplomacy to gather information once in the theatre. I'm specifically looking for info on Tobyn's daughter and the goblin attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"If you think we are up for the challenge Master Drokkus, then I would not be so bold as to deny you. This good halfling and I will study hard."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh starts to wonder if Drokkus is coming back 8)

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh stares at the eccentric man in muted bemusement.

Not ideal? He scratches is chin absently.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"I'd better go see master Drokkus. If you're not careful, these actors will rope you into some play or another."

Tosh laughs, knowing he has as much a flare for theatrics as any stage master might!

Vors Malcroft wrote:
"I'd completely forgotten the hunt. I suppose it's good we decided to come here. Though if this person has managed to unite the goblin tribes against Sandpoint...we could be in trouble. They weren't the most effective fighters, but in greater numbers..." Vors trails off, his brow furrowed.

Tosh goes slightly pale at Vors' musing.

More goblins? I was useless against that handful...Maybe I should have left Sandpoint like I'd planned. I'm no use to these heroes.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"This information is precisely why we have come to you sir. We think it would be a great boon to learn what you know."

Seeing Ameiko disappear so swiftly, Viorela glances towards the kitchen for several moments before turning back to the others.

She pops the last couple of melon cubes on her plate into her mouth and tosses her cloth napkin onto the table.

"Shall we, then?"

Off to Hosk!

"I will go with you Viorela. Perhaps some of us who did not speak to Zanthus yesterday should do so today?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"Vors is right. But i do think we should keep our ears open for opportunities to find out more about the cathedral fire. I can't help feeling there is something to it."

Have we lost Vestad? I haven't seen a post from him in a while."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

I'll take option A

Health roll 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

and BAB goes to +1

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

I really like the step process. I've been waiting to try it out myself. Good times!

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh thanks the barmaid with a gold sovereign and turns dejected back to his companions.

"I'm afraid our proprietor has retired for the evening. We'll have to talk to her tomorrow. Any ideas on what we should do now?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh sighs.

"Very well then." Tosh grabs the attention of the first waitstaff he sees and says,"Please tell Ameiko that we need to see her when she has moment."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"I agree with Borhald. I think our strongest lead so far is to uncover whatever we can about Nualia. Again, I wish I had my mother's intuition..."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"According to Zanthus, Tobyn and Nualia were quite close at first, but as the years went by, they grew distant. I'm not sure what to make of it."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"As much as I hate to even think it much less say it, we may need to lean on Zathus. He knew Tobyn well, maybe best, and he lied to Vestad and me about how well he knew Nualia, Zanthus adopted Aasimar daughter. That was before admitting that she and he didn't get along. He later speculated that the fire started in her room. Morever, Nualia's body was completely incinerated. No remains, no grave marker."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Upon arriving at the Dragon, Tosh orders some food and a glass of wine. When everyone is settled together, he asks.

"How did everyone do?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

I have never played Runelords either and I am enjoying it.

That being said, I am very easy going and would gladly continue, switch, or play both APs.

I second GM_Todd's GM style being excellent. Well done sir.

Tosh offers the priest a tissue and says,"Please, if this is too difficult, we can come back another time, but if you feel you can continue, can you tell us how the fire started?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Zantus and Vestad:

Diplomacy 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
"Thank you for your indulgence good father. We are assisting Sheriff Hemlock with the theft of Ezakien Tobyn's body. We have not been able to discern the reason for this desecration as of yet, but we were hoping you might be able to grant us insight into the sort of man he was. Where did he spend his time? Who did he invest time in? How did he come to adopt...I'm sorry her name has fallen from my mind, his daughter? These are the sorts of things we need to know. Can you help us?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Zantus:

Diplomacy 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
"We all mourn today's losses father. We do have some business with you: more a question really. I think, however, that it can wait a while if there is something we might do to help here."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"Maybe we should split up so as to cover more ground. We can meet back at the dragon in a few hours? I will speak to Zantus and discover what he knows of the previous priest. Vestad, will you accompany me?"

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"This is one time I'd appreciate my mother's gift. Seeing what heppened here and its potential side effects could prove useful."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"I remember Ezakien had an adopted daughter. Her name escapes me. I wish I could remember more!"

Tosh squeezes his eyes shut as if the fading light of day somehow impedes his memory.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"I'm getting no where with this song and I'm growing frustrated. I break might be nice. I will accompany Borhald and Viorela."

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Tosh nods along with the conversation, but he is obviously more engrossed in his mandolin: plucking out notes, changing them, and humming to himself.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

"Sheriff, everyone in Sandpoint respects you and the work you do for this great city. Since you ask it, I cannot and will not refuse to aid in any way I can."
