The computers modifier is from your sensors quality for science officer checks.

Thank you for providing missing puzzle piece that the computer modifier is from the sensors table modifier column. I missed the information when reading through starship combat.

Please let me know if I am on right that the +# any # checks per round is a translation for the Computer Table Bonus column.

Hello again to the forum members,

I have a new missing puzzle piece in starship construction which deals with computers and modifiers in the readouts on pp. 306-315.

1. Basic Computers:
a. Blackwind Sepulcher: Modifier +2 Computers
b. Thaumtech Omenbringer: Modifier +4 Computers
c. Idaran Voidrunner: Modifier +2 Computers

2. Advanced Computers
a. Idaran Mellennia: Mk 2 trinode Modifier: +2 any three checks per round.
b. Atech Immortal: Mk 3 duonode Modifier: +3 any two checks per round, +2 Computers
c. BMC Mauler: Mk 1 mononode Modifier: +1 any one check per round, +4 computers
d. Norikama Dropship: Mk 3 duonode Modifier: +3 any two check per round, +2 computers

Questions:

1. How do I determine the modifiers for computers?

2. Why do some of the samples not have modifiers when they have either basic or advanced computers?

3. Is Modifier for the advanced computer modes from the Bonus column of the Computer chart on p. 297?

Thank you for any help that can be provided.

Hello to the forum members,

I have attempted to recreate the Exoxian Death's Head Necroglider tiny interceptor on StarFinder Core Rulebook pp. 306-307 using the building starships process on pp. 292-305.

The only entry on the specification sheet I have not matched is the Modifiers which has a +1 Piloting.

The only component that has a Piloting Modifier I found is on the Thruster chart on pp. 296-297.

The T12 thruster provides this vessel with a speed of 12 and lists the Piloting Modifier as -1.

Being a bit confused my next step was to check the other nine sample designs with entries for Modifiers: Piloting. I have only been able to match three.

Checking through the book I have not been able to figure out how the modifiers came about.

Can someone please walk me through the how the modifiers are determined for Piloting.

A quick check of other Modifiers shows me that I will probably be asking for more assistance, unless the help received for Piloting allows me to figure out the others.

Thank you for any help that can be provided.

Hello Joana,

Thank-you for the link to the character and starship sheets and for advice on how to track topic threads. I have not figured how to use the RSS feed either. I will take a look at the link and hopefully will beable to fumble my way through.

Hello to all the forum members,

I am new to Paizo and StarFinder, but I have been a long time player of Traveller and got my start with the original D&D rule set.

I have failed to locate the downloadable StarFinder character sheet that is mentioned on p. 14 of the hardcover core rulebook I bought on 9/5/2018.

This is my second post asking about the character sheet. I hope someone here can point me to the link.

I am also hoping someone for someone's help on how to track topics with an email.

Thank-you in advance for the help.

Hello from WA,

I purchased a copy of the StarFinder Core Rulebook on 9/5/18 and I have started to read through the book. On p. 14 in the first blue shaded with a pencil block that states "You can find a blank character sheet at the back of this book or available as a free download at paizo.com"

So far my efforts to locate the character sheet has failed. Can anyone point to the place I can find and download the character sheet please?
