Apologies gang - as GMF stated I'm working on the crunch that fits my vision of Tobir. Couple that with work doing my nut in means my brain's fried! Don't wait for me as it could be weekend before I nail things down and knuckle up my games. Til' then I'll not apply any bonuses to rolls as I'm not sure the skills he'll ultimately have.

As Hathok steps toward the newcomers with a growling tune, Tobir stoically eyes the group attempting to discern what he can;

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 15

Tobir acknowledges the details and advice with a nod toward the clerk.

The half-dwarf walks to one of the stools and parks himself, waiting patiently for their guide to leave them before he potentially speaks...

Tobir barely reacts to the barked orders, just listens intently as if marking the words as he too slips on the signifier armband.

When the clerk exits, he shoots a quick look to the others speaking in a flat an slow voice;

"Right lads, like it or nowt, our collective fates 're bound together. Leastways for 2 weeks..."

With a scarred hand he gestures for them to follow the administrator;

"Master Fulldwarf... best befittin' if you lead."

Tobir just hangs back, keeping a stoic air of quiet defiance as the others make their complaints and plays audibly to the Crew Chief.

Steady lads. Nowt to be gain'd by rattlin' 'is cage.

Like Hathok, he too attempts to discern what he can from Ugin's words;

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Tobir impassively takes the disdain, merely offering a nod to the clerk as he accepts his assigned duty.

Within the holding cell he sits stoically, at Hathok's jape he smiles weakly;

"Keepin' out t' fire has long been my problem friend. Name's Tobir."

As the halfling and dwarf speak up, he nods to each,

"Master Fulldwarf. Master 'alfling. Pleased to make your acquiantances."

The scarred-half-dwarf then turns his stoic gaze back to the bigger half-orc;

"Aye. I've strength an' a will to aid should ye need it."

Ditto on the assist

Tobir came full circle and ended up a Skald (Instigator & Urban Skald archetypes). 7 DEX will be interesting lol, but I've weighed up the build and it fits for him to have ruined hands and physically react slowly due to the burns he received. It's offset by his sheer toughness so hey-ho.

I'm hearing a Northern English/Geordie accent when he speaks, so will try and illiterate that in his speech.

Presume we have no gear or starting coin GMF? - did want Tobir to have some Union tattoos evident on his personage if that's permissible?

Tobir moved forward slowly up the line. He was in no rush, and stoically accepted the sideways looks and whispers regarding his burn scarred countenance.

When called forward, he was momentarily distracted by a nearby half-orc (and fellow neophyte) threatening tone.

The bald half-dwarf almost smiled;

That's the way of it lad. Make 'em earn their stipend.

Turning his attention to his own bureaucrat's question, he answers slowly in his low, accented voice;

"Tobir Drosschilde*. Former toiler for thee Clinker's Union. Now a man o' letters."

* Drosschilde is a defacto Imperium surname given to illegitimate Half-Dwarves.

All cool - just needed some focus that's all.

Will be running Tobir as a Bard (Demagogue) - with the Burned Drawback (should make for an interesting dynamic with Ol' Slaghammer :)

Former member of the Clinker's Union, Tobir was a toiler (labourer) until an industrial accident/incident in which he was the sole survivor resulted in injuries caused him to no longer be able to work.

With no income he set about bringing the unscrupulous forge owners to justice (nobles/high ranking merchants). While he found new purpose (and respect) amongst his fellow toilers, his actions in rabble rousing drew the attention of the authorities and those in power. While his firebrand (pardon the pun) status meant he could not merely be "disposed of" - he was found guilty of sedition (and exiled as a result).

- that's the crux of my concept. Half-Dwarf bard seems suitably against type for me lol, and I've plenty of RP to run with.

Can hammer him into whatever setting we're running with or redact into a familiar one.

Appreciate the patience all :)

No worries - am working on him as we speak. WIP profile :)

Crux of his background is a former slag/scrapper who earned the displeasure of a noble. They arranged for him to be paid in molten dross in punishment - if he could carry it he could keep it.

The stubborn half dwarf managed the feat in defiance, but it cost him the use of his hands. They are ruined (hence his 7 DEX).

No longer able to work, he turned his will toward representing the Scrap and Dross workers - earning repute as a champion of their causes and resolute spokesperson.

Spitballed ideas, but will keep chipping away.
