The Story War, Famine, Racism and destruction. These things have always been apart of the lives of those who occupy the lands of Allneart. Those who wish to survive needed to be especially strong or clever.
The Giants. Creatures shaped in the way of smaller animals like deer, hawks, fish and many others. Once docile creatures, large enough to have their own eco systems. Able to hold forests, lakes even villages and towns. Became aggressive and destructive. The races that resided on these giants were forced to leave after the water became a dark violet and poisonous. Along with powerful monsters that killed and ate all in their way. Many of those who lived off the Giants had their cities, towns and villages. Were crushed under the hooves, talons or tails of the giants. Many races then formed uneasy alliances with one another to try and take back their homeland. They fought bravely. Managing to drive the a number of giants away from many civilizations. But the momentum was soon stopped short. You were born in the free city of Onóir. You don't remember much but as small children you were put away deep underground in a large area that could hold a little over five hundred stocked with food to last ten years or so with underground wells. There you were raised by a select few of scholars, Cooks and a few soldiers who had been sent down to watch over you along with the other young children. you learned many things about how the world was and about the giants. Along with math, science, cooking and combat. Some even learned magic. You also were told you were put down here by duke Fitzgeralds orders. They also told you of a large purple fog that had formed on the horizon the day that you went underground. When your city was attacked by a flying giant hawk. After it sounded as though the fighting had stopped a scout was sent to check things out. When he came back he was very pale and coughing up blood. Before he died a few hours later he warned that the purple fog covered the area above and was toxic. Sometime later a small hole was made at one of the entrances with glass blocking out the fog. But allowing the elders to check if the Purple cloud was still there. Many things were tried. They dug further through the underground to see if they could come to a spot that was clear. But no luck it seemed the fog now covered the landscape. They tried blowing it away with magic, but it still remained. Now they check daily to see if the fog remains. It has now been fifteen years since you have been down here. Living off dire rats, insects, stored fruits and flour along with wine and stagnant water from the underground wells. One hundred and five of you remain that is one fifth or so of the number you came down here with due to sickness, malnutrition, suicide and murder over various things. All the ones who taught you are now gone children that were born rarely lived save but a few. It is about that time now for someone to check on the fog. Goal Rebuild your city and take back your land from the giants.
Play style One of you will become the new duke. If that position interests you let me know. If multiple players want it I will come up with a contest to see who gets it. The duke or whatever they decide to be called. Will be charged with tasking other players with quests, responsibilities. The Duke will also have to make those game changing choices. I probably don't need to say it but this game will be heavily player driven. The world is capable of evolution in technology and even how races view one another.
This will run on the Pathfinder system. Skills 20 point buy. Level 3 Unchained Class skills. HP Hit points max per level. Classes All Pathfinder classes available. Races All Pathfinder race choices available. Wealth Will start at zero. Don't worry you won't need it yet. Equipment For starting equipment I am going to allow players to pick the basic items, armor and weapons your class requires for you to be useful. Just make a list of the equipment you want and I will look it over and say yay or nay. Players 4 to 5. Post rate Within two days. This will not be first come first serve I want effort in those backstories. I prefer players heavy into detailed roleplaying. Not just in combat but in every avenue. |
