Looking at the information he has gathered Thomas wonders what it means and how best to interpret it.
I'm a bit lost, are we waitning on anything special?
After arriving home in his haven, Thomas drops down in the chair before his laptop and starts with a simple google search to see where that takes him.
"So we'll meet again tomorrow evening and head the Englewood?" Thomas asks. He leaves the casino after copying Cecillia's number. "I might depending on what I find."
"I might be wrong but what do we know about this place? However it seems you prefer a direct approach so let get going. And I doubt it will be that simple Titus."
"I'm sure it would be a good idea to explore the crime scene, but isn't to night a bit hasty, what do we know about the area?" Thomas responds to Cecillia's suggestion. He continues: "I would suggest a night of research and a field trip tomorrow."
"I believe that it might be best to begin tomorrow." Thomas answers and continues with a smile: "A little work wont hurt you."
"We should properly find a place where we can talk the plan through? Do any of you have a suggestion?" Thomas asks as he looks around the room.
"An exciting proposal" Thomas says as he drinks a little from a few of the herd. He continues: "I say lets look in to it and see where it takes us." This is almost like following the tail, not quite but good practice, he thinks to himself.
"Prior experience?" Thomas inquires.
Having been quiet listening and watching Thomas smiles at the banter: "A waste of vitae in my opinion." He faces Jack: "Why have you summoned us?"
Quentin raised a valid point in the gameplay thread, how much blood do we have?
Should the character be taken through the paths of faith?
Yes, I found the chapter where they describe status. How are we going to do that? I'm thinking his sire could be / become his mentor. Do you require the mentor merit for that?
Gm could you give some pointers on what you would expect if I were to take status ordo dracul and later follow up with their discipline?
"There's a difference between idle and observant," Thomas smiles in response and continues: "I think you have me mistaken, my enlightenment comes from understanding, not Wicca."
Smiling at Quentin's remark Thomas replies with a smile: "Not at all impossible" "Certainly not the most convincing trial I have seen," Thomas adds discretely after the proceedings are over. "Titus two free pieces of advice. He is the prince so be careful what you say and there are broad interpretations of the first tradition, especially if a prince wants to remove enemies."
"A most regrettable practice the death is so much more than a sacrifice." Thomas comments at Cecillia's answer. Turning towards Titus Thomas shakes his head "Properly not, we only have 3 traditions. It's more likely he broke local law, perhaps endangering the new peace." He then smiles: "You would be thee perfect leader of your covenant."
Thomas rolls his eyes as the Archbishop begins his prayer Order instead of improvement, do they never learn, he thinks but keep his mouth shut. "Now that was something not expected," Thomas says as the accused confesses. Turning to Quentin: "That depends, I didn't hear a confession of breaking the traditions, so it depends on how our archbishop decides to rule, a most exciting question." At Cecilla's remarks Thomas looks a little surprised: "A sacrifice? Is that normally part of a sermon?"
That has got one of the few time she has been ignored, Thomas smiles to himself seeing Jack pass by Cecilla the first time. An interesting offer, perhaps the option to see change in effect, or direct it a bit, Thomas reflects on the offer.
Smiling at Quentin's question Thomas elaborates on Cecillia's answer: "I keep forgetting that you're not familiar with Chicago. I believe that to be Wild Eye Jack. One of the movers and shakers in the city, a truly rare occasion to see him here." while gesturing discretely towards Wild Eye Jack.
Thomas turn at the statement and looks a little bewildered as the whole Elysium turns silent. "Is that who I think it is?" Thomas asks in a low voice. "A most interesting evening indeed." he remarks to himself. Seeing Cecilia move towards the famous vampire Thomas watches excited to see what happens.
Thomas stands with Quentin looking at the crowd of gathered vampires. It has been a long time since he was in a place with so many vampires last. This is certainly different from the covenant meetings, they were down right cosy compared to this. Looking around he feel the beast stirring wanting to at the same time attack and flee, he forces the man to take control and moves into the room. I wished I had spent more time here, I don't know anything about who's who. He thinks as he heads over to the other dragons. "Good evening brothers and sisters." he says while nodding to the ones he know and continues in a lowered voice: "This might be a night of change to come?"
In the Impala: "Well yes I do." Thomas responds with a cold smile. "And I'm sorry but that just isn't my kind of sport." he adds apologetic. "I hardly know the woman," he answers the question and deflects: "I don't have much of a story to tell"
In the Impala: Thomas has followed in silence trying to assess the latest man to join them. He frowned on the episode with the fans. As they reach the Impala he lets his hand slide along the boot. "It's a fine machine," he says admiringly. As they drive he asks Titus: "So Titus was it, I don't recall having seen you here, are you also new to the city?" He pauses shortly and continues: "You seamed to be famous, mind if I ask for what?"
At the United Centre: Thomas flashes a discrete smile and responds: "Somehow I get the feeling you've both been out a little while. The club sounds like a good idea. Besides I don't know if this Carrie Underwood is anywhere close to Johnny Cash." Somehow the smile doesn't make you feel warmer, this man is just wrong in a scary way.
At the United Center: As Thomas closes in on the to he feel a different pull. His beast struggles against every step closer. Again he trumps the beast. One of these days he is going to break free again he thinks. He comes within hearing range just as the man finishes speaking. Not remembering any of them from his few contacts with the kindreds outside his covenant, he decides to introduce himself. "I don't believe I have had the pleasure, I am Thomas Earthborn." he says while extending his hand towards the two.
At the United Center: So many vessels Thomas thought while he waited in line. Initially a little shocked by the thought he laughed to himself still able to feel shocked that would change like so much had. Well that is how my life is now. he reasoned as he took a step forward. Then he felt it the beast roared inside him. There were someone else here, someone like him. He wanted to tear them apart. He forced his beast back pushing it away from the surface and turned towards those who had provoked the reaction. The man and woman were standing there speaking. He moved a little closer eager to listen to their conversation.
Days of war: After having fought his new state of being alone for almost a year Thomas was marked by the experience. His was slow to accept his guide to this new world, the woman who shattered his future plans, his sire. She kept him away from much of the kindred social scene and most of his contact with other kindred were with other dragons. Thomas was because of this not the first to know about the war. He followed his sire to the site of the anti-prince when the Ordo Dracul was presented with the ultimatum. Not being a front-line fighter he played his part in hostile acquisition of other heavens, and the demolition that followed. Only once did he see real fighting and his blood powers proved their worth.
Born and raised in Chicago. Embraced 4 years ago, I am not sure how this corresponds to the Invictus fall from power.
