Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Things happen. You ran a great game and if you ever get the time back I'd love to join back in. I totally understand the work/internet shenanigans.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus gave a chuckle at the new fellow's words as he sheathed his blade. No worries about needing to fight me off. He gives a nod toward Kamlann, Unlike my hotheaded companion here, I don't give two gull-s$##s as to why you helped. Just glad you did and that's enough for me for now.

And as far as personal questions, we all got secrets in this group. Yours ain't probably no worse than some of ours.

Seamus gives a mocking salute to Kamlann before motioning forward. Lead on, oh Captain, my captain.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus continues his attack, hoping the creature might finally drop.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus continues hacking at the creature, knowing it isn't too effective but trying to whittle it away piece by piece.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus takes another swing at the monk, hoping to end this unnatural thing.

Scimitar attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

So any word on what's happening with Jelani or what the DM's thoughts are?

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Still around and kicking.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Knowing he will have no impact on the ghouls with his weapons, Seamus none-the-less moves up to help Syndir deal with the remaining monk. Hopefully he could distract it to allow Syndir to land a fatal blow.

Move action to go to W11 (already done on the map).
Then fighting defensively, I will make an Aid Another attack. It's against AC 10 and if I hit, Syndir will get a +2 to his next attack against the undead monk. And for fighting defensively my AC gets a +2 until my next turn. Checked and didn't see anything that said I couldn't combine the aid attempt with fighting defensively as they both just modify an attack.
Aid another attack(with fight def penalty factored in): 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 5 - 4 = 7, No damage on a hit.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

I'm here, I was only seeing the updates to the game thread, didn't see anything here on the OOC. And as far as the game thread, I've just been waiting for my turn.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Yeah I guess the map confused me. Looking at it now, there doesn't seem to be any baddies to attack directly, so Seamus will just scan the area and stay alert. AKA not do anything.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Even though it's proven ineffectual so far, Seamus slices out with his blade again, not wanting to leave Farid to the creature's devices.

No way to make my attacks magical or anything so just gonna keep swinging and hope I crit.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus moves quickly to the side to prevent Farid from being surrounded before slashing out with his scimitar. He knew the weapon wasn't as effective but it was best in these close quarters.

5-foot step left to prevent Farid from being flanked(already done on the map).
Then attack on undead diagonal to me with scimitar.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Hearing the commotion from further within, Seamus rushes forward and sees Farid amongst some curtains around the corner. He moves to the man's side, weapons drawn and looking for the attackers.

Double move action to get to S10 which I updated on the map.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

That being the case, Seamus just double moves towards the fighting, drawing his pistol as he goes.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Hmm, well my roll sucked so it probably won't matter either way but to adjust for simplicity, I will be attempting to shoot whatever baddie I can see either now or after a move action. If it is or is not in melee, please adjust my roll accordingly. If this is not possible at all, then I'll simply draw my pistol and scan the area for threats. Having trouble accessing the map at work.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus steps back from the undead beast and pulls his pistol from his belt. Lining the barrel up, he squeezes off a shot at the undead beast.

5-foot step out of melee while drawing my pistol as a free action.
Spending 1 Grit point as a Swift action to use Focused Aim Deed.
Pistol shot on undead(PBS and firing into melee included with deed)
Attack (vs Touch AC): 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 - 4 = 11, Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Yeah sorry bout that last delay on my part. Weekend posting isn't really easy for me. Trying to keep things moving though.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus grips his scimitar in his hands and rushes at the other undead creature. His blade slices out at the creature, attempting to cut it in half.

Charge to attack the remaining creature. If I can't charge, then move and attack. If not that, then just double move.
Attack (with charge bonus): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 = 26, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9, Bonus Damage if confirmed: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Just a heads up that I'll be out of town Fri, Sat and most of Sunday for a wedding this weekend with no computer access. Please DMPC me as appropriate.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seeing his blade catch nothing but water, Seamus struggles wildly in the creature's grasp trying to break its hold on him.

CMB to gain control of grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
If I succeed, I will release the grapple as a free action which should leave me a move action left. I'll use that to 5-foot step away from the creature.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Understood on the grapple stuff, reread the Pathfinder stuff on it. I think the other part of my confusion was in the placement of the corpses and my searching. I assumed I would have had to climb into the pool to search them, I didn't realize it was possible from the edge. Everything's squared away now and I'll figure out how to deal with it on my next action.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

I only bring this up because my hitting an AC 20 seems to have been a miss due to water. But if I'm being grappled by the creature, either he moved into my space or I moved into his per the rules but either way wouldn't this negate the cover bonus it receives from being in the water? How can I be on land and he be in water and yet he's got his arms wrapped around me? Just wondering cause if that's the case, there's no way I'll ever be able to deal with this.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus tries to shake his head clear as the undead creature held to him tightly. Slipping a hand free, he pulled his scimitar quickly from his waist and sliced at the creature holding him, trying to slide the blade between himself and it.

Quick Draw to pull out my MW Scimitar. (Or move action if you'd prefer, either way shouldn't matter.)
Standard action to attack with a light or one handed weapon while grappled.
Scimitar attack (with grapppled penalties included): 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 5 - 2 = 20, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Sorry for the delay, the game didn't have a "new" indicator next to it in my list so I just thought we were still waiting on something. Of course it was me.

Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus draws his pistol and moves towards the two floating bodies. Ain't nothing to be done for them but there's always the chance they could do something for us.

Scanning the area carefully for danger he then pats down the corpses, looking for anything of value as well as any kind of keys or other items that might help them inside the temple.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Sounds good to me.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Onwards and upwards.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus watched his companions' faces as the dwarf spoke. He'd seen many a sailor pressed into service the same way in the Shackles and it was always a toss up of how they'd react. After all most people never chose to be a pirate, least not the sane ones he thought with a chuckle.

Still, he'd known his fate as soon as he stepped foot on that ship and it was no weight on him that the others had decided to tag along. Some were probably regretting that decision but they'd just have to learn to live with that.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Sounds simple enough which probably means it won't be. Is there a specific monk I should be speakin' with who handles these things? Also, being new to the colonies I'm not completely familar with the layout of the area yet. Can you recommend someone to show us the way up there or provide directions?

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus simply nods. Oh belive me, I know who I work for and what that means for my future health. So what's next? What's the task?

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus takes a seat at the table, glancing around the tavern. He'd seen many establishments similar to this one and felt almost a little at home. Seamus smiled at the dwarf's words. Well I'm in no rush, but as you will.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus shrugged towards the men around him. Some more than others and not all happy about it but I'd say so at this point. We'll see how many decide to come with us.

Seamus motions to the dwarf and his entourage. Lead the way sir.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus didn't feel any real emotion at seeing the two men standing there on the docks waiting for them. A certain amount of apprehension sure, it's not an easy task returning from the dead and he'd given up on seeing the other man again. But he wasn't connected to them in any way so it was hard to care more than the immediate needs warranted.

I see you two dodged the headsman's axe it seems.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Huzzah.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Checked and responded.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus glances at Farid as he comes up. We're headed to Sargava. More than that, you know as much as I do.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

And I should, I'm running the Skull & Shackles AP on the boards and have read most of the info for the Shackles area, so it's really just a screw up on my part.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus felt his stomach drop, not at the location but at the name. Besmara's tit! Endymion! I'm in rougher waters than I thought if one of the Lords is involved. Seamus nodded vaguely at the captain with a mumbled. Thanks for the info.

Why in the hells am I being sent to Sargava? And for all of Dendragon's claims of creating the illusion of my death, it seems I'm not free of my Shackles troubles with that.

Seamus tried to think of anyone he might know in Sargava that could offer some info or help when he arrived, as he was clearly headed into further trouble.

Knowledge local: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Ahh, yeah that would elicit a bit of a response, wouldn't it lol?

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Yeah I'm still here, been watching the boards but I didn't think you were waiting on me. We're headed to Sargava but I didn't necessarily think that would warrant any significant response. I was waiting for the next bump of us arriving or something happening. Given Seamus's current predicament, any port is as good as the next. Unless the name Endymion was a reference that I totally missed and should be alot more worried or excited about.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Sorry for the delay.

Seamus heads up to the main deck and is greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of a ship in motion. Granted he was working at the request of a man who had shot him, he couldn't really be too upset at this particular moment.

Looking around the ship, he approaches what appears to be the first mate and gives the man a nod. Mind me asking where we're headed and what our charter is?

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus was planning on asking at some point in the future but not immediately no. He's been beaten, chased through the streets and shot in the chest. He's ready to just grab a bunk and deal with the particulars in the morning. :-)

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Ahh, gotcha. Well we're getting something alright, I just ain't promising you'll like what it is. ;-)

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

That's what I figured but Farid's post confused me for a sec so just to make sure we're all on the same page.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Alright I think there may be some clarification needed. I'm under the impression that Kamlann was potentially hiring me for help with something, not the other way around. I'm not paying for anything cause I'm the one being hired, as far as I understand it.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Given the hunter's abilities, I'd say it's safe to assume that their resources vastly outstrip our own and they're a dangerous and viscious group of people we don't want to have to meet. Always expect the worst and you'll be pleasantly surprised, that sort of thing.

As far as my services, we'll see what we can work out. My personal issues are my own and as such play no part in whatever work you need me for. Just know I do what I say I'm going to do and if we agree to an accord, then you can count on me regardless of what I have to do to follow through.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Seamus meets the other man's stare with one of his own. What's going on is I've been framed for something I didn't do and now I'm dealing with it the best I can given the circumstances. If that's not enough for you, we've yet to leave the port and I'm sure you'd be welcome to disembark. You've been a help with my problems and I thank you for that but they are my problems and I'll choose how much I let someone know about them. Best to be rememberin' that if you're to be in my company.

Seamus suddenly lets out a low laugh as he settles himself down into a bunk. To be sure though, that sand beastie wasn't after me so don't go blaming all of tonight's excitement on me. Seems the lot of us would do well to leave town, so I'd advise you to put aside your misgivings and stick around for a little while longer.

Male Human Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3

Yeah, Seamus heads below with the rest. Went with the implication from GT's post but yeah he heads down.
