Dr. Thide Zhaynnash, known to her associates as ‘Zee’ or ‘Doctor Zee’, was one of the only post-doctoral students accepted at the Starfinder Academy following the Scoured Stars Incident. Zhaynnash was offered the position largely on the basis of her extracurriculars, however, as her certified light aircraft piloting experience and remarkable social aptitude scores had her flagged as a candidate for the Academy’s field agent short course.
Zhaynnash proved to be instrumental to key first contact missions under the Wayfinder banner up to and during the Scoured Stars Invasion. During that action, Zhaynnash served on scouting, reconnaissance, and medical evacuation sorties aboard the SFS Ranger. The narrow escape of the Ranger during its final evacuation sortie proved to be a traumatizing event for Zhaynnash, and she has opted into a lighter duty rotation since that time. Zhaynnash has embraced instructor responsibilities at the Academy, and is believed to be developing a popular science work on societal capacity to embrace, tolerate, or reject catastrophic change.
