They were supposed to meet up the next day, after James finishes work. To go see the sights as it were.

That is the trouble when everyone, except me, are playing paranoid characters. That is not a criticism. I have played characters that are more paranoid, and for good reason. When Raven is off the the stage, he is not trying to be flashy. He would dress down, but of course, that won't stop the attention, since he is basically a nova incubus. He really was trying make a friend with James, because as he said, boredom is dangerous to him. Plus, he is alone, one night stands are one thing, friendship is another. He he is a social character, and could be the public face for the group.

Let's see what happens on the next day anyways, as James isn't likely to write someone off right away. Besides, I kinda figured that the two of them likely had a fair bit of small talk in between our RP'ed bits. Otherwise it would have been the weirdest day ever for either of them ;-)

So let's see what our GM cooks up for the evening, and let's let James and Raven finish up their evening? :)

Up to you to be honest, running him as an NPC might work though, as you can then control the options in that regard.

I'll agree though that Steven and Raven didn't seem to get on that well, but that might be more due to the setting. Admittedly though, they do seem to come from VERY different viewpoints in that Raven seems to want attention (and his powers certainly run in that direction), whereas Steven and the others are trying their best to stay under the radar.

Same here, everything should now be calming down again. Time to get back to the games, I hope. ;-)

Steven grabbed a pen, wrote down his number, and threw down a tip for the waitress. After all, sometimes you had to reward perky.
Having sone so, he got up, downed the last of the beer and went out the door, taking a right and heading on home. No rush after, if the mood struck him he could be home faster than any car. For now though a bit of fresh air was in order.

What time of day is it at this point? With this being sort of an off time for Steven, I figure he'd probably want to head off at some point, for some sleep before his dayjob got started.

"Understandable, I suppose. I have to admit though that I chose to move to Tulsa specifically because it seems like a place where nothing happens.
Anyways none of my business. Whatever floats your boat."

"Any ideas then what you'll be doing in the meantime? Like, are you planning on going for a radio DJ gig or like a TV host or is that still up in the air?
Can't say I know anything about showbiz really, so I don't know how these things work."

Steven leaned back so that the waitress could hand over the beers and plates of Tacos.

"Thank you love, much appreciated."

Grabbing another taco, he dug into the meal once more.

"True, but as a rocker, doesn't trouble find you anyways? I mean, it's not exactly a quiet occupation after all. At least not if your fans and colleagues from this evening is any indication. No offense intended."

Steven drained the last of his beer, and grabbed a toothpick.

"While I'm at it, I know you picked Tulsa out of a hat, but I'm assuming this wasn't the intended last stop of the tour. Isn't that going to cause trouble with your agent? I mean, some of those guys aren't above a bit of strong-arm tactics, from what I've seen at the club."

He looked back up at the XWF match where Duke was currently busy tying the Mitoid Meathead into a pretzel and stuffing him head first down a dumpster.

"Hopefully my life will take an interesting turn. Like I said, boredom is dangerous for me. The things I do when I'm bored, would make the front page of the tabloids.

"You know, the Chinese have an old saying "May you live in interesting times". To them, it's a curse. And to be honest I can understand that. Me? I prefer lying low, had enough excitement to last me a lifetime. Don't get me wrong, if someone needs help or trouble finds me, I'm not one to back down unless I'm in way over my head. At the same time though, I don't need to go looking for trouble."

Saying that, Steven downed the last of his beer and waved the waitress over, the cute perky one, not that sour git who originally seated them.

"'Xcuse me love, would you mind getting us another round of beers and tacos please?" He gave her his best smile, knowing full well that she'd have forgotten all about him, except perhaps his accent, in the morning. Especially with all the attention Raven was attracting.

That done, he leaned back, and looked up at the tv, where an XWF match was going. Looked like Duke was kicking the crap out of some Mitoid wannabe. Ah well, hopefully the special stipulation match that was coming next would be more interesting.

Just wanted to say I'm still here, but kinda failing to find a good way to segway into the action. And there's only that much Smalltalk you can do with someone you don't know. ;)

The man didn't seem to be in danger of dying right there, but Jane was no paramedic. He just groaned in response to her assurances and fluttered his eyes at her. She heard the sirens then. They weren't too far from a fire station; the ambulance would probably be there in a minute. It couldn't be from the girl's call, it was way too soon. It had to be from Edwards dialing 911 when Jane had gestured for him to make the call.

Going to be intesting if that turns out to be Steven's call..

With a smile Steven picked up his beer, saluted Raven and took a swig, idly considering ordering another round of Tacos. Even on the best of days, his appetite was still on Nova levels, rather than suppressed.

"So what do you think you'll be doing here in Tulsa? I imagine that you're not exactly planning on starting a new band, considering what happened here. And I'm thinking that you're not really one for construction or security work like myself?"

"Don't you ever get tired of all the attention Raven? Or, I suppose, being a rock star and all, you're used to it?"

Steven looked pointedly around the restaurant, indicating the interested men and women with a pair of raised eyebrows.

"Agreed there Raven."

To the waiter: "2 large beers please, and two of the biggest tacos you have. Been a long evening."

Assuming we can see the driver as well, if not please ignore:
"Will you look at this idiot? Drink driving really ain't cool, even at this time of night. Don't know about you, but my cell's out of charge, so can't even call the cops on this moron's ass."
And even I can't run fast enough to catch that one, without someone noticing.

Kinda put my actions on hold for the moment, until someone else makes a move. As said, would seem appropriate for the group to meet up, unless our Storyteller has other plans?

"Sounds good to me. If you're buying I recommend the Triple Volcano on their menu. I like 'em spicy and that one's got enough spice and meat in it to last a week."

It'll also give you hairs on your eyeballs, but he'll figure that one out from the name. If not, we'll there's beer to chase it down with.

I open the door of the taxi for Raven, and wait for him to get in.

To the Taxi driver: "To the taqueria my good man and step on it, we're hungry and thirsty."

I don't mind either. My own preference for referring to own character's actions though is first person. Don't care about the tense really, as that'll depend on the situation and possible outcomes.

Well, there's Tulsa best taqueria just nearby. They should still be open. Great tacos, and they serve beer there too.
They sometimes show some of the sports news there as well, I think there was a boxing match on tonight.

Not much to be honest. Mostly just a lot of swearing at you. And beyond that. Nothing important, even if there had been I'm good a keeping secrets. Part of the job and all that.

As for entertainment, well depends on what you're looking for really. I'm new here myself, so haven't checked it out much, though I did pick up a tourist brochure.

Unless it's public knowledge, he won't know that Raven's a nova, he won't have heard that part of the discussion.

Seeing the lead singer leave the back room, I nodded to the rest of the security guys to show that I'd take this one, and they could keep an eye on the rest of the bans.

"Raven? Excuse me sir, but if you'd follow me, we've arranged for me to take you to your hotel by taxi. I assume, given the reaction of the rest of the band, that you've arranged for separate accommodation?"

"Red, sir, do you want us to get hold of a couple of taxis and send the band to their hotel? Perhaps send that lead singer of theirs to a separate hotel? It doesn't sound like he's any too popular at the moment.. And I assume you'd rather not have any incidents?"

Can't say the band was to my liking earlier, but they impressed the crowd and for the most part, bare the odd drunk or two, the crowd had behaved. Even so it'd been a long evening and all I really wanted was to go home, grab one of the import beers, throw myself on the bed and watch a bit of telly before falling asleep... But it seems Fate had a different plan for me tonight. Guess the night's still young.

Oh, no, I'd happily take that. I'd just missed that part when reading up on the Mega-stats. :) Will be updated now. :)

Could you call out which Mega-Stamina enhancement he has? And I think you forgot to add his Mega-Sta to his soak numbers. Should be at least 5/3 with Sta 4/Mega-Sta 1.

While you're at it, could you also write out- either next to Mega-Dex by the Abilities or down near the Nova Point expenditure list- that he has the Enhanced Movement enhancement? I see it in your movement calculations but I like to be able to see things at a glance without looking around.

No Mega-Stamina Enhancement. Just the one dot in it.
