As far as other questions go,
I usually allow most prestige classes and races as long as they are from official D&D books and are somewhat relevant to the game (if you come up with a creative back story it helps).
If its from another source I'd just need to look at it to make sure it wont unbalance the game especially where feats are concerned.
I'm not a huge rule hound by any means, and I ususally just play to have fun.
I try and give out XP for good role playing to encourage it and I like to keep my players on their toes.
I tend to run low magic campaigns when I run home brew stuff, but since this is a published adventure there should be plenty for everyone.
