Liberty's Edge

Speaking to Laori, "If you have a safe way off the island, I guess that puts you ahead of us. We were just going to have to work on that.

If Sal wants to go with you, I'll have no problem, but for my piece of mind, can give me a sacred vow that you will keep him safe, treat him well, and if his muse has left him, his art takes him in a new direction, or if he wants to leave, then you will release him somewhere safe with the money for the paintings?"

Liberty's Edge

"We just rescued Sal from one of his "fans", what surety can you provide that going with you won't be more of the same?" Firdall asks Liori.

Liberty's Edge

Firdall contemplates the phrase "Blessed by Zon-Kuthon" and shudders.

Liberty's Edge

Firdall takes another look at the picture, then points to the man in the picture, and speaks to Liori, "He certainly makes an impact. I noticed that you seem to recognize him. Who is he?"

Liberty's Edge

Smiling at Laori, "So, what can you tell me about yourself? You seem pretty ... chipper for someone that appears to be a follower of Zon-Kuthon."

Liberty's Edge

"Ahh, it seems your fans are everywhere." Firdall remarks to Salvadore walking up and clapping him on the shoulder. Continuing in a low whisper "but you might want to be careful of this one, she seems to worship Zon-Kuthon."

Turing to Laori, "Sal seems to be in something of a slump recently, but I have a few of his pre-slump works here if you want to have a look."

Meanwhile Firdall keeps an eye on the Girl, and tries to figure out if she is telling the truth, or if this is just an act.

*clunk* *clunk* *clunk* Firdall carefully sets down the paintings in the hall and leans them against the wall.

He then turns to look at the newcomer.

"Hello there, it is always nice to meet another friendly face... "

Firdall voice trails off as her words sink in and he takes an appreciative look at Laori.

Fridall gives a reappraising glance at Salvatore, then gets ready to cast a healing spell in case the new girl gives Sal a hug.

Liberty's Edge

Firdall replies airily, "In polite society, it is considered rude to abandon a gift, and I am certainly leaving them here for Pilts, he is not worthy of them!

Then in a more normal tone, "Besides, if we are eventually heading over to the Arkona Mansion on a diplomatic mission, it might be best not to go empty handed."

Liberty's Edge

Firdall claps Salvadore on the back and says, "Well, we'll escort you there, and then find you somewhere to hide, or a way to get out of Old Corvosa. Lead the way!"

Firdall then helps carry some of the better paintings that we recovered.

Liberty's Edge

"So where to? Drop Sal off at his place, then head to the Arkonas? I think we checked out the Vencarlo house already, but we could swing back there if you want."

Liberty's Edge

So is that building explored, or is there another floor? I see a staircase.

Liberty's Edge

"Well, pack anything you want to take, and we'll escort you out once we've swept the building. I don't want you running into any more trouble."

Firdall will then advance and so a quick search of the storage.

Liberty's Edge

Firdall changes back into the form that Salvador would know best, then wanders out into the hall and checks on the door across the hall. He listens for a second, and checks it for traps. If He doesn't hear or find anything, he'll open the door.

Perception Traps: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33

"Oh,I forget my manners."

Firdall transforms into the face and outfit that Salvador would have known him by.

"It IS good to see you again.

Pilts is gone for now, his crowd dispersed, and it looked like most of his thugs were killed. But he is still alive somewhere.

Taking a look at the painting.

"I see what you mean. The technique is still there, but something is missing compared to your older works. Maybe you just need a change of atmosphere. .... Or perhaps it is time to evolve as an artist! Try different techniques, different subject materials, maybe even a different medium, and see if you can find your old, or even a new muse waiting for you! With your talent, there must be other ways to evoke emotion than horror."

"At the very least, there are some of your older works outside you can take with you once we are done searching the building. Do you have somewhere to go where you will be safe?"
