If anyone has played Blood and Honor then it will be kind of like that. Also this isnt an official system so we can change anything if theres a problem.

The year would be split into quarters, each quarter the company takes contracts to fund itself and funnels capitol back in to grow before settling the books. In additiob, the players will have the opportunity to take to the field (using different characters or the same) on a particular job.

There won't be that much money management. More or less what you had to do for this game. Most complexity is front loaded into mech creation and mercenary creation (which also depends on if people are joining together under one banner or if people are doing their own companies). Its a hack job of Dark Heresy, Blood and Honor, and Mekton

Best Wishes to him.

Is anyone interested in picking up another scifi game with a vague system in the meantime? Itd be mercenary management with giant robots

Just checking in. If I don't hear otherwise I'll probably mark this game as inactive in a couple of days.

Ok so I set the comments up on my map

Turns out commenting from my phone is a pain so I'll do it in a few hours when I get home.

I am happy to help.

Just to make sure I understand what you want me to do: you want me to pull the info from my army sheet and set it up in the comments of the battlemap, right? Would it help if I set up a spreadsheet instead so that we won't need to repeat the process in the future?

Super smooth on my Pixel. It's exactly like XCOM gameplay wise. The major differences is the textures of your soldiers and the maps have been redone for the phone and some of the smaller cutscenes (like the little ones that play during an autopsy) are missing. It's a great port though. All the gameplay elements are the same, the maps are all the same size, all the content is there.

Ive been playing Enemy Within on my phone

Yes

I see. I thought the units that were color coded were fatigued. Does the color coding mean anything?

Please substitute Agents Thorn, Lee, and Sullivan instead of the three fatigued agents.

As an addendum to my deployments. Please disregard the task force deployed at 0452. Agents Freeman, Abbot, Roth, and Stone are to be deployed to 31° North 109° West along with that task force.

Thank you for the advice. I'm running all my knowledge off of XCOM the game which uses smaller squads.

Looking at my sheet I appear to have an 8 man transport and a 12 man transport. I will make an addendum in the gameplay.

Deployments set so unless I'm mistaken everything should be good to go.

Feel free to tell me if I've made a mistake somewhere.

TURN 2
Supplementary Field Reports:
0452
S. Agent Hammerfall and S. Agent Raven are deployed in conjunction with with a task force comprised of Agents Freeman, Abbot, Roth, and Stone and S. Agent Gospel to engage the enemy contact at 62° North 100° West (Canada). Standard seek and destroy mission followed by materials recovery.

1743
Task force comprised of S. Agent Glory and Agents Doe, Parker, Kane, and Thorn are deployed to engage an Alien contact at 31° North 109° West (USA). Standard seek and destroy mission. The Director has also issued orders that the field team observe and report the response of local military and law enforcement elements to the invasion and their fighting effectiveness.

I'll declare my deployments shortly

Ah, I see. I thought I had seen a precedence for the sparrows being able to take down small contacts on my own.

I have a good idea of what I want to do for my deployments but I wanted to know if I could rename and reorder my forces or if I have to stick with the callsigns Parker/Bradley were using.

TURN 2
Summary of BPRD Activities:

Canceled the construction of XCOM training facility
Such a facility is an unnecessary and wasteful artifact of the US military. Agents are trained as necessary on a case-by-case basis, either in the field or through other organizations. The construction of an on-site facility is best left to the military.

Status of Research Commission #A806
The Bureau has seized the R&D teams responsible for the inquiry into alien communications originally commissioned by Colonel Parker and General Bradley through the ONR. The team, lead by Dr. Desmond Bradford, will continue their work as agents of the BPRD by order of the Director.

The Alien lifeforms have proven to be resistant to all known forms of ECM. The future of this war hinges upon mankinds ability to maintain and effective communications network while depriving the enemy of their own. Finding a weakness in the Alien communications method is just one possibility in this project.

Commission of Research #X777
The Director has commissioned additional research with the BPRDs own internal research team. Anticipating a growing intensity in field operations, it is considered imperative that Field Agents are outfitted with weapons capable of punching through advanced Alien armors.

"Development should focus on increasing the stopping power of our standard carbines while maintaining the light weight and mobility of the current generation. Several projects have been considered including increasing the weapons weight of fire, chambering them for a higher caliber round, or modifying standard NATO ammunition based on our knowledge of alien alloys."

Can I deploy more than one Sparrow Interceptor against a contact to ensure a higher chance of take down?

Hallo Commanders.

I will be taking control of the US XCOM Cell indefinitely. I look forward to playing with you all.

Please be aware that the US XCOM cell will be undergoing a restructutring under my direction. Simply put: the modus operandi of the previous commanders is no longer ideal for the United States or their agenda.

I am looking to reduce my active forces by 8 Corporals. If anyone would like the excess soldiers please say so. I don't imagine you'd have to pay a recruitment cost.
