Sharaya in customer service is awesome. She was very kind and helped me understand why there is a delay with receiving the 5th adventure pack. Thank you!

Thank you for the explanation.

Csouth - yes

One more thing - As someone who likes to follow the rules - I can see the problem.

But from a game perspective for people who have never played this type of card game... as was the case last night - It makes no sense.

To the Dr. I was playing with, a lab researcher, and resident nurse, if you are forced to discard - why would you have to time it correctly?

I mean you are discarding in either case. One discard happens before the other. In one case you get the bonus, in the other you do not. There is not a clear measurable transition point built into the game... since it is so gray, might as well just combine them and get the bonus.

Just our thoughts. Mind you we were playing the second scenario after Brigandoom.

So after the encounter I can discard whatever cards I want by choice to get the bonus. After I resolve the discard, it then transitions to the resetting phase.

Ok - so it looks like we were playing correctly. It just seems like we kept forgetting that we had too many cards until we were checking...

Then because people felt that since we were discarding to manage our hand size they should get the bonus, since it was silly to declare a discard 1 minute prior ... in order to get the bonus.

At the end of the day - If there was a clear moment in the sequence that could easily be identified when a person enters the reset phase then no problems.

Since nothing clearly lets you know you are in the reset phase - People can simply look at their hand and say "I want to play this now." - and always get away with getting the bonus.

Can you discard a card exactly the same time you pick it up in order to get the bonus?

Last night we had many times where people were being forced to discard down to their limit, and they all took whatever Card bonus you got for discarding.

While it seemed like an abuse of the rules since you were being told to discard at that time..... If you simply discarded a card prior to the "draw phase" then you circumnavigate the loss of the card bonus.

Any thoughts? Is this allowed?
