About Thadius Stargazer
Thadius stands barely three feet tall and weighs a mere fifty pounds or so. Piercing green eyes hover close to his long pointy nose while ruby red hair meticulously styled to appear unkept pokes out from beneath a gaudy large brimmed hat. His bronze skin seems to shimmer when complemented by his extravagant apparel. And the clothes he chooses to don may seem as though they've been picked out by a blind man but in reality Thadius spends hours upon hours rifleing through the finest of fabrics and rarest of dyes. Being the traveler that he is, you would think he should be prepared for any situation, yet he carries only two small bags attached to his waste and a simple staff used primarily to aid his walking. If one thing is certain about Thadius, its that he is intent on being noticed.
Though he is capable of speaking, Thadius usually doesn't. His hearing impairment makes it very difficult to control the volume of his voice and therefore he uses gestures or nods to express himself most of the time. Use caution when speaking ill of him though because despite his hearing loss he seems to be able to virtually read words as they are spoken, if he has a clear enough vantage point.
Thadius (The Wanderer) Stargazer has spent his entire life on the move. His curious nature wouldn't allow him to stay in one place very long, "The great unknown ya know", he would reply when asked why he was leaving places so soon. At least that's what he would say until he lost his hearing and became a little odd (even for a Gnome).
No ones quite sure what happened to cause Thadius to lose his hearing, but many speculate that his curiosity got the best of him and he wandered a little too close to the heavens. And in order to remind him of his mortality the gods cursed him with the inability to hear. A discipline truly painful to a Gnome. For he would never again be able to enjoy the sweet company of bards, their songs and stories creating new destinations in his mind, would be no more.
Though the gods were frustrated at his attempt to travel beyond his mortal limits, they were equally impressed by his determination. And everyone knows that impressing the gods requires a special person, and special people get special rewards.
And so it is that Thadius (The Wanderer) Stargazer continues his travels.
