Temur was the son of the khan of a minor Hyrkanian tribe. He killed a man in a fight over a girl and fled to keep the resulting blood feud from getting out of control. He rode west across the steppes and spent some time riding with the Kozaki, raiding Turan. When that band was crushed he drifted west again into the Kothic lands, finding work as a mercenary fighting in the squabbles between Koth and its neighbors. Finding himself on the losing side again when a war ended, he headed to the legendary City of Thieves with a chunk of the payroll. That vanished quickly in the taverns and his rough attempt to gain more led to his current predicament.
Temur's a skilled warrior and archer. He was practically born in the saddle though he lost his last horse on the flight to Shadizar. He's impulsive and violent, though he can also be protective of friends or others who might catch his sympathy. When he has money he spends it freely on wine, women and song.
