![]() I've been avoiding adding to the thread in case Djack's friend wants to join. We're under two weeks to start and once everyone is marked, the scene leaves the prison, so recruiting new members is harder. I also wanted to give Tura a chance to speak before we go outside though she can definitely use the 'wet dog' line then as it is really good. @Djack: I think my instructions are unclear, but unless you have traits that increased your money significantly, I'm assuming your 'I had/want items worth ~2500gp' is more of the future planning for the character. All that is approved. @Lacrima, Tura: For each of you, magical Hide, Masterwork weapon (x1), a pool of random: 1d12 ⇒ 10 non-masterwork weapons including javelins, do you each want a wand of some sort or have another ~1000 gold worth of items you want? @Shintaro: Masterwork full plate, Masterwork Transformation on your katana, and maybe another masterwork item/transformation would put you near the 'budget' for your character in the paladin's offer ![]()
![]() @ Lacrima - Excellent. @ Redac - I understand. Thanks for affirming your continued interest in joining Lacrima et al at Table 2. @ Digger - Sure. I'd suggest either Constable or Standard Bearer archetype. I'd also allow you to use either archetype with Samurai to give up the mount feature if you like. Either way, you can definitely be a samurai/cavalier with a dash of Eastern flavor from Minkaian lands who acted in accordance with the laws of your land in Ustalav, making you a criminal by their standards as you didn't fill out the right forms in triplicate. ![]()

How powerful am I?
You're a first level adventurer (or NPC class) who never really got the hang of the life. Maybe you got scared or made a horrible mistake but you've been caught before your deeds are anything to boast about, and even in prison, your main claim to fame is that no one's killed you... yet. How evil can I be?
What if I choose to escape?
What if I try to kill the paladin?
What about gear?
If the paladins are so noble and powerful, why don't they go alone?
Enemy?
Am I going to survive?

![]() I know I am reviving an old thread, but this is Carrion Crown, so it seems fitting. Thanks to everyone for their advice and wisdom. A few details I added to my game (because of this thread and my own ingenuity): 1. The characters all have nightmares (3 currently per PC, a few generic untailored nightmares) and 1 good dream per PC, printed out on paper and wrapped in color coded ribbons (the good dream has an additional multi-colored ribbon). 2. I use the nightmares to introduce AA from book 6 in book 1. 3. I encoded the poem from book 3 and left it in Harrowstone 4. I added Troy Gildenstern and Abed Rosenkrantz - two NPC who are doomed to die. Troy is a clueless paladin of Ragathiel and Abed is a medium (when Abed said this, Troy said he was more of a 'large, extra large kind of guy' and inappropriately winked at Kendra). 5. I created Mad Libs or Groetus Sentences. For your use: A _______________________________ of ____________________ was __________________ and
They said, 'What's the matter with you? _________ got your ___________?'
A ______________________ made of _________________________ was used by a _____________
A ___________________ won't ___________ you if you _________ it _______________ !
A magical __________ is a good investment against _________ and other ______________ foes.
