Larry Elmore has graciously allowed me to upload 178 images from his Character Clip Art and Color Customizing Studio (2002) to my FreeDnDArt collection of Public Domain art. These Larry Elmore images are not in the Public Domain, but there is a very generous license to use them. They can be used for just about anything- web pages, publications, software, games, etc. Please do not upload them to other Clip Art collections without Larry Elmore's permission (as listed in the license which is included in the Larry Elmore folder).

I tried to put up high quality images, if one needs even better images, please refer to the original book (a little hard to find, but possibly available directly from Larry). The images can be found here:

Super huge cheers!

The deal is so fantastic and it is getting better and better by the day (and now half day). If you will add to your pledge when x item is officially available, you might as well raise your contribution now (so that it happens faster). Since we have limited time, this will open more stuff sooner, ie more options and more freebies. You can always reduce your pledge at a later stage if need be (at least before the KS ends).

More velocity= more stuff= more new folks= more velocity= more stuff= more new folks= more velocity= rinse and repeat until the end which will be a glorious orgy of minis. The more velocity we have the bigger the orgy!

Unofficial update from the horses mouth (the publisher is pretty slammed with stuff it seems, so I am leaking this out):

We have officially decided to provide a deluxe character codex as a free gift to all backers who pledged at a level that includes at least one hardcover. The cover is being completed now. It features a Clyde Caldwell painting that really captures the idea of attaining power. We may ask for a lil help with shipping for folks that want the softcover in their hands, but that will only be a few dollars.
Once we put that on the Kickstarter page, that may help to drive more backers to pledge.
Once we hit 15k, and at every 1k up to and including 20k, all backers will receive an expansion race or class featured in the Players Arcana guide due out in late 2013. This means that if we hit 20k, you'll have three new classes and three new races to play with.
That's a lot of Myth and Magic.
Backers will get something really cool if we get to the ultimate stretch goal of 22,500. I'll announce more on that at 17,500!

Free character codex with Caldwell cover, extra races and classes? Nice!

Level 1 and associated sub area of Dwimmermount is available for free to backers now! Free swag as well (probably some sort of character folio).

And the big goal from the beginning has been reached, Easley and/or Elmore art!

Woot

Confirmed artists:

Clyde Caldwell, Matt Geerling, Jennell Jaquays, Doug Kovacs, Diesel LaForce, John Lofregen, Rob Lopatto, Jessica Safron and Jason Walton.

In addition, they have a Kickstarter crossover with Dwimmermount and Adventures Dark & Deep!

8000 has been blown past (8666 atm :p), so the high quality books are confirmed. In addition the artist Doug Kovacs is signed up for a few illos, and there will be some more TSR artists confirmed (or so they have stated).

Cheers

Quick update:

The second TSR artist stretch goal has been reached, but they are not ready to announce just yet, I believe the details have not been ironed out with the artist's agent just yet. In addition, the next production milestone is very very close:

$8,000 - We'll use semi-gloss paper with a full bleed page layout and include grayscale full pages and better shaded art.

Full bleed high quality hardbacks ($35 or 4 for $75) with TSR artists? Sounds good to me,

Cheers!

Played last night, and it went pretty well. There were a few roll low roll high head scratchers, but that is part of the stew. We used the gnome invention tables from 1e dragonlance, 2e core, combat & tactics, a bit from the 1e dmg, and return to keep on the borderlands. Pretty swell and it will only get better.

I can definitely say that switching to M&M will be high on my priority list when I get in the DM chain. Kickerstarter now fully funded, woot!.

Fully funded, woot! Hardbacks will be coming my way. :)

Kickstarter now at 80% I hear there are some Elmore sightings as well...

The two good things about Thaco is:

1. No charts
2. Greatly improves mental arithmetic.

IMO, it was a nice compromise between 1e and its inversion (Bab and ascending). If you look at it, it seems obvious the 2e creators knew the inversion, but they had to keep the backwards compatibility with 1e.

Cheers!

PS. Myth & Magic kickstarter at 80%.

Playing in a core book + combat & tactics game this weekend. It will be the first time for 2e since 99/00! Should be a blast.

After 12 years of 3e, C&C, AD&D3e, plus Myth & Magic, 2e sure does seem to have a few clunky bits (mostly holdovers from 1e). But it is still my game of choice, at least in style and tone. When I start running a game in a few weeks, I will be using Myth & Magic Starter Books, a 2e future clone- sort of how like Pathfinder is a 3.5 future clone. Linksy:

Cheers

Link to free Starter Books (scroll down):

I have some conversion rules worked up if anyone is curious how compatible it is with 2e (very very)

The Myth & Magic Starter set is up and available for free! Myth & Magic is to 2e what Pathfinder is to 3.5 or C&C is to 1e. The system is really nice and smooth, and level 1-10 of the 4 core is included in the free books available here:

http://www.newhavengames.com/

Think of it as the Pathfinder Beginner Box, only with more levels, no grids required, 100% less color, and free to download.

In addition there is a Kickstarter for the full Player's Guide, which in only 24 hours is well over 50% of its goal. It should be really sweet:

I have some conversion rules made up if anyhow is curious how compatible with 2e (very very).

Cheers

Any chance someone has a list of Pathfinder related podcasts? They can be a bit hard to find, and the staff doesn't really publicize them either.

So, looks like Pathfinder is getting its own fan podcast now. Which is good, I hope!

I was wondering when The Tome Show was gonna have an episode about PFRPG Core. Thanks for the post!

We've been thinking about, talking about, and wanting to do an official podcast for a while. But until we get caught up after launching a new game and moving the offices north to a larger and more efficient space here in Redmond, the time is not right to launch something like this. We can't even keep our blog on a regular schedule right now, after all!

But eventually, yeah. We hope to have some sort of podcast.

How about a list of podcasts you guys have already been on, there are tons out there; I just wish it was easier to keep track of. Google pretty much gives old results from 2007. A sidebar somewhere would be swell.
