backstory-

Tatsu was the daughter of a famous military family, the Everhearts, her father and his brothers were all famous battle leaders, and her uncles all had boys to carry on this tradition. Her father, however, had only girls, four of them to be precise. Tatsu was the youngest and her father's last chance to carry on the family tradition. She grew up a tomboy and liked to fight and learn strategy. Her father enrolled her at the same academy he went to. But the mostly all-male school had only recently opened its doors to women and she was picked on and bullied for most of her training. So she is a well-trained battle leader with a chip on her shoulder. She thinks of herself as the equal to any man and will go out of her way to prove that. Her attitude was what eventually got her discharged and now she is looking for a job. She came to Darkmoon Vale to look for work and to visit her cousin, Laurel, the local herbalist.

the quest so far-

the town is suffering under a plague called the blacksour taint, which is caused by blacksour fungus getting into the wellwater. my cousin, Laurel the herbalist thinks she can cure it with a old and possibly magical remedy she found in one of her grandmother's old books. She just needs a few more ingredients and she can make it. Elderwood Moss, which grows on the oldest tree in the forest. Rat's Tail, a specially pickled root. and seven Ironbloom Mushrooms, which grow underground near metal and are a dwarven speciality. we are currently at the dwarven ruins, looking for the mushrooms.
