Targrim will double move to a spot just south of Oswald's current position. I believe he can make it to the spot 4 spaces due south from Oswald and the cave entrance.

Moving to west once more, Targrim moves to the front of the line, trusting in his dark vision to spot trouble before it spots them.

Targrim withdraws his bow, stringing it, and knocking an arrow as they begin to move down the eastern tunnel.

Using his darkvision to scan any shadows ahead, Targrim hopes that the other scout spots any opposition before it spots him. As he clanks around like a walking silverware drawer.

Targrim will move forward , while still maintaining some space, and use the 3 other languages he knows to try an talk with the gillman. Orc, Celestial, and Abyssal. All translations of "Greetings friend we mean you no harm."

Targrim continues to move forward, maintaining distance so as not to seem threatening to the gillman but to be able to respond if Pierre needs the help quickly.

He also continues to scan the surrounding area, checking the shadows with his darkvision for hidden gillmen in possible ambush.

BTW beginning Mon am thru Wed pm, I will be in the mountains hunting. I will have access but it is REALLY slow, so limited posting for me. Easy to read but tends to time out if I spend too long thinking about it.

When the passageway opens up to the larger cavern, Targrim stops to admire the beauty of nature for a moment, yet aware that sometimes beauty can disguise much danger.

Before moving on Targrim cast Detect Magic scanning the area ahead of them.

If nothing unusual is detected he will move towards the lighted tunnel after losing his sword in its scabbard.

Targrim already showed he can't jump but will still belay on of the other if they choose to jump across. That can then set up the ropes for the others ascent from the pit. He'll go last as he is the biggest.

taking 10 gives him a 9 on both portions.

@DM, how deep is the hole? looks like it is 10' across from the description and as wide as the path. Wasn't sure about depth.
