About Tardorel
Character Sheet
Faction Card
Tardorel grew up in the city of El, on Castrovel. Both of his parents were wizards, and Tardorel took to scholarship early in his life. However, rather than devote his efforts purely to the research of the arcane, he became fascinated with stories, literature, and research and became a librarian at a prominent library in El.
He worked there for hundreds of years, enjoying a peaceful life reading, cataloguing and debating literary works with his peers, until one day he was processing a new acquisition for the rare books section of the library, and discovered the tome was cursed! Ever since that fateful day, dark voices whisper strange knowledge into his mind, driving him to distraction. Local scholars, healers and clerics determined that his fate had been fundamentally altered by the experience and could not be reversed by mortal magic. His research into his condition eventually led him to believe he would need help controlling the voices from experts far afield.
After reviewing several extraplanar and extraplanetary organizations with expertise dealing with the results of dangerous, corruptive magics, Tardorel traveled to Golarion and reached out to the Dark Archive of the Pathfinder Society. After consultation with Zarta regarding his condition, and deal was struck; Zarta would help him train and control his powers, and Tardorel would assist in the field as a Pathfinder, applying his knowledge gained from a lengthy lifetime of reading and literary pursuits.
