Appearance: Talathel is a blue-haired fellow with felinesque eyes belying his Rakshasa heritage. He stands 5'10" and has broad enough shoulder to look like he could actually use the rapier he carries. His attire includes baggy breeches, a blousy shirt, and a vest. Realistically, he looks a bit more pirate than sorcerer.

Personality: Talathel is a self-confident smart mouth, but a loyal ally. He will readily step forward to protect those who cannot help themselves, though he does expect some form of gratitude will be coming his way.

Backstory: (As narrated by Talathel) When life begins by being set out as tasty wolf bait rather than being loved and cuddled, one could understand why you'd become a smart alek. It was fortunate that the wolf who found the toddler treat was the companion animal to Jathal, elven druid. That's how the tiefling came to be the monster raised by elves.
It wasn't all bad being raised in the woods among the flower people and fairy folk. After all, I learned about music. Music was my ticket out. Oh, and magic. That's what helped keep me alive.
That and lying.
Among the elves, I learned the ways of Calistria. When you bring me a goddess who is the patron of deception and pleasures of the flesh, I get religious in a hurry. Not only was lying fun, but it was also worship. Classic two-for-one.
I lived among the elves for quite some time, but finally was ready to go find my place in the world. Armed with a number of spells, a lute, a rapier I couldn't actually use, and a tongue sharper than the rapier's blade, I set off.
Exploring the world, I found a role as a bard of sorts. After all, I could lie up all sorts of performing experience that would sucker tavern owners into giving me room and board for the night in exchange for a performance. I often even found a lovely young local maiden to "worship Calistria" with me. Along the way, I encountered a time or two when my spell casting and at least appearance as a swordsman helped solve problems for the locals. Again, free room and board and "worship" followed.
However, one of the most interesting things I learned was how much people would pay for information. A few coins in the right palms, a roll in the right bed, a lie in the right ear, and I suddenly had information for sale. Not too shabby.
However, information became an issue. I kept hearing in town after town about the theatre of Sandpoint. I turned my attention towards making my name there. Apparently, the proper channels involve making contact ahead of time and getting an audition. I'm not a fan of proper channels. Therefore, I turned my head towards Sandpoint and set off with my magic, my lute, and my wit to make my name on that stage. What could go wrong?
